I was introduced to Miami Valley Range nearly 25 years ago. I had personally taken my licensing classes here. In addition, my partner and 3 our 5 children took the first shoot and basic gun safety courses there. In no case have I ever had anything but the best service from them. They have helped me many times when I needed it and it didn't mean an immediate sale. Once I was injured and they helped install a red dot sight for me at the range including cleaning and storing. This was existing equipment I hadn't just bought from them by the way. How helpful is that! read more

New shooter. Took First Shot class. Great class and a must for inexperienced shooters and it's only $25! Took the CCW class. This class also was great. Experienced trainers. This is the only range I've been to and am very happy there. read more

Went during the week to keep proficient and it was my first time shooting by myself. The range staff were helpful and super nice. Video was informative and you can tell the range regulars take care to leave the indoor range better than they found it. I went to the other Vandalia range and was treated poorly by the range officer (and I was with my LEO husband!) Exact opposite treatment here. Came here to shoot as the normal place I go, was shut down for the day, this place has potential to be great, and honestly I was looking for a new range to do business with anyways, however there is one major problem. The Guy behind the counter is a complete Dick. Makes asinine comments like. "It seems none of these people are in a hurry" "I don't understand what's so complicated" "We're not going to order that for you" "We're about done working with him, he's getting on my nerves" The Ranges are a little Dated, but they work I actually enjoyed shooting in there, you have to hold your targets up with tape, and you can't use big Poster Targets. The final thing that chased me out, which isn't the Ranges fault, were other shooters and their complete ignorance to gun safety, pointing a malfunctioned gun at my shooting partner with his finger on the trigger. upon leaving I let the Range safety officer know, and he took the matter very seriously I love the fact that it's one flat fee for shooting, however I won't be returning, I was going to browse the store, and possibly make a purchase before leaving, but with the guys attitude the store is not getting another penny from me. read more

MVSG is the place to be for all your shooting needs. Indoor and outdoor ranges. Shotgun, handgun, rifle sales, nice proshop. The staff is very friendly. It has always been a very safe shooting experience for myself and my son. There is NO other place in Montgomery county I would go to shoot firearms. They also offer ccw, and private security firearms classes. They hold several shooting events, sponsered by the NRA, and by Glock. Love this place! Keep up the GREAT work MVSG. read more

The facility is ok but a little cramped. The safety video was good and informative. The staff was not pleasant or friendly. Frankly the first person we talked to I wanted to turn around and leave had I not already paid for the range up front. The range people were ok. Just the one guy up front who checked us in was an ass. I will never return. read more

A friend and I purchased their Groupon. she has never shot before and it had been awhile since I had. They put us off in a smaller area to give her some privacy and this allowed her to relax and learn to shoot. The Groupon allowed us to shoot up to 17 different guns to see what we liked/disliked. It also provided eye and ear protection. I really enjoyed the staff and experience here and will absolutely go back. read more

I am a relatively new shooter ( 6 mos) and this is the best place I have found in Cin-Day area . The staff is very friendly and knows their stuff - very patient with beginners. Very laid back atmosphere on the indoor range - have not used the outdoor. I have never had to wait on the weekend for range time (and there is no one watching the clock). Prices are reasonable. Seems to be very family oriented, they even have a safe viewing room for the young ones indoors. The only thing they dont have that I liked elsewhere was the target system that lets you know exactly how far you are shooting. The rental guns could be in better condition but that seems to be the same everywhere. read more

Ok range nothing fancy tape your targets then send them out. Knowledgable staff it seems but they do have they favorites and talk crap about others. Ammo is a little expensive but not over the top. Over all it's a average range and laid back not crazy range master flexing his muscles. I enjoyed my time here. read more

This place was a nice enough range with courteous staff. I bought the groupon which was nice allowing me to try several different guns, but we almost left because the only hearing protection they had for rent was ear plugs which did almost nothing in the indoor range. I could have bought the ear muffs there, but they were $40 each for the cheap ones which is fine if I planned on using them enough, but if i only shoot one a year, it's not worth it. They convinced me to try the outdoor range which was tolerable with only ear plugs for awhile until the range filled up. I would have probably spent another $50 on ammo there with better ear protection, but we left because it just got too loud. I would recommend this place if you shoot enough to buy your own hearing protection, but for the casual shooter, there are other places that provide ear muffs. I probably won't go back as a casual shooter. read more

If you purchase a firearm from elsewhere you can expect to be held up getting your firearm entered into their receiving system until they are ready to do it and you can wait at the counter until you speak up and ask to be waited on. I have tried to get quotes from them on various firearm purchases only to get non-specific information on the price and or availability and then when I purchased on-line I get the treatment described above. I find that if you use the rifle range it is mostly controlled by the large caliber shooters who come prepared with spotters and binoculars and they do not stop shooting until they are ready. I have yet to see a range officer at this area unless there is an emergency, it is totally unsafe and uncontrolled. If you want to wade thru the mud to check your targets and be treated like an alien go there. Management seems to have a bad attitude and minimal help is provided. I have spent my last penny at this range. read more
