Call it serendipity. We happened to be walking by the Brentwood Library after lunch and there was a sign for a 2pm magic show (it was 1:56). We decided to check it out and I'm glad we did! Micah had really cool tricks up his sleeve (or hat), and my daughter and I were so interested the entire time. He kept the kids engaged and maintained a good rapport with the audience. My favorite is when some of the adults in the audience would continue talking, he brings back their focus to the show with humor. I am writing a review for two performances by Micah Cover, a magician who we hired for a Holiday Party for the Department of General Services at the Two Bit Circus on December 3, 2019. This was the second time we hired Micah, and similar to our first experience with Micah, he was great!! We first hired Micah in 2011 for our Holiday Party which was at an outdoor venue, at that time Micah did two stage shows for about 300 employees. Micah was engaging, funny, and the employees loved all of his tricks. This time we hired Micah for our party at the Two Bit Circus as a roving magician. There were about 400 people at the party and Micah, went up to small groups of people who were waiting in very long lines for food service and performed card tricks, told jokes, and did some juggling. Micah was very entertaining and kept people occupied while they waited in line. I recommend Micah and would definitely hire him again; he is a very versatile and engaging performer and is able to perform on stage for large groups or in a more intimate setting for small groups. read more

Micah came to perform at a corporate team building event yesterday during our lunch before we started our activities for the day. If it's any indication of how great he is, the staff of the event place told us we could start the regularly scheduled activities early if we wanted to and everyone was like, "we'd rather hang out with Micah until we absolutely have to go do something else." The tricks are super interactive and the audience does most of the choosing, handling the cards, shuffling, etc. so you feel like a wizard by the end of the trick. He's also hilarious. The best part was that most of what he was saying didn't sound super rehearsed. He was just riffing with the group and would bring back inside jokes that we'd made along the way (e.g. someone smelled his blindfold and he ran with it). What. So great. He's also excellent with names and always made an effort to involve as many people as possible with a trick, joke, etc. I was already excited when I heard we would have a magic show at the event but he just knocked it out the park.
