A friend and I arranged for an outdoor "magic camp" for our 9 year-olds this summer. Got to experience Micah's show courtesy of our local library and the kids just loved it, even the younger ones who normally can't sit still for five minutes. DO NOT USE! We had purchased a Groupon for his magic show. It was for his Gold Party Package which includes a 60 min "highly interactive" show, goodie bags and either balloon animals or a juggling act. The magician was very rude and condescending to our kids and parents. He would get upset over any noise/side conversation during the show. He stopped the show numerous times to tell parents to stop texting. He did not like that we were serving popcorn to our guests before the show because he felt that it distracted them from his performance. The magic tricks were standard and while he did call up kids to participate, he would get easily frustrated and send them back to their seats if they didn't do something properly. He tried to be funny during the show but it ended up appearing angry instead. The juggling act was very disappointing after all the build up. He only juggled some small balls and handkerchiefs, not the bowling pins like in his ad. After the show, he handed out goodie bags but he made the kids stand quietly in a single file line or else they wouldn't get one. We had to pay $3 for each extra goodie bag and it was not worth it. The goodie bag was a plastic baggie with a plastic wand, a silicone bracelet, a silly band, cardboard 3-D firework glasses and a $25 off coupon off your next show. Not worth it even with the Groupon! read more

Went to the Haunted Harbor at the Queen Mary this year, like I have for several years in a row. Rarely do I ever stop to watch the shows (usually not too good) but Micah's chit-chat to engage the audience caught my ear and we headed over to watch his show. What a GREAT decision!
