Great place for family dessert! Highly recommended! The sundaes and milkshakes are really good but the snow cones are phenomenal!

No one was kept waiting without acknowledgment. Staff was quick to respond once they finished with the current customer. I noticed each customer got the best service and the associates offered suggestions on what to try. I tend to be a creature of habit and like my certain flavor although would love to try something new. As I was toiling between two different types, my go to was not available and the associate was very informative to let me know that my flavor is usually switched back and forth with another in the case. They let me know when I may check back for its return. In the meantime that made my choice of the turtle blast easy as I was desperately needing a chocolate caramel fix! Oh my goodness! Their recommendation on this one was on point! Even my friend had to try a sip of mine and absolutely fell in love with it. He almost abandoned his chocolate shake as he kept eyeing my turtle! We both agreed that after our walk in the mall, this was the perfect treat! Turtle blast is now on my favorites list! Thanks Jennifer I appreciate you!

Another great visit to the kitchen table. Hubby and I stopped in for a late dinner. He hadn't been…read morehere before, but I have been once with the ladies from work. I ordered the fried redfish served over Gouda grits with a Cajun crawfish sauce. This dish was EXCELLENT! The Gouda grits had a little bit of a kick to them and the crawfish sauce had an amazing flavor which made the whole thing an over the top flavorful dish. My husband ordered the pork chop and wasn't a fan. The pork chop was overcooked and dried out. While overcooked, the chop did have a nice smoked flavor. He quashed he had ordered the redfish because he loved the flavor of my dish, so we shared. He had fries and Mac n cheese with his dish and both were good. We loved the truffle fries dipped in ketchup. Something about the combination just works together. We finished the night off with their yummy bread pudding! Definitely save room for dessert because the bread pudding with caramel sauce is sooooo gooood!

I went in with high expectations as it seems to be the only fancy spot for a long distance around. Also, I was a fan of the previous restaurant in this building, Vinegar Jim's. The service was friendly and the drinks were surprisingly good, though their cocktail menu is primarily sweet beachy drinks which I don't prefer. We started with the BBQ shrimp and burnt ends plate, both of which were excellent. My girlfriend and brother both got the Debris Samich, which I liked but they did not as the bun was rather soggy. I thought it tasted good and was happy to treat it as a knife and fork sandwich. I had the 38-day dry aged prime ribeye- which was offered at a great price for the quality and the treatment of the meat. The center was cooked exactly how I ordered it, but around the outside the meat somehow appeared to be raw while simultaneously having a burnt crust on the outside. I was underwhelmed because even though most of the steak was great the burnt bits turned me off. We had a few desserts, and my favorite was the butter cake. They're definitely worth a try. Good food, good prices, and friendly service.

I had the veggie plate with butter beans (they were a bit sweet and limas, not true butter beans), fried squash (the slice it long ways and hand batter), spinach mashed potatoes, and deviled eggs (delicious, no notes). I tried both hush puppies and a roll. Personally, the hush puppies weren't my favorite, but the roll was buttery goodness:). Most importantly, I asked our server at the beginning if they still had chocolate cobbler and if they were running low to go ahead and bring it out. At first they had plenty, but a few minutes later cobbler was in front of me because she noticed it was running low. So dessert first! Don't mind if I do:) it was warm, gooey, and delicious. Others in my group had the chicken fried steak, and chicken tenders. Everyone was very happy with their meals! Service was great, though the kitchen was a little slow. It took about 30 mins to get our meals. Fun, old timey atmosphere - great service - and delicious home cooking. Will definitely be back.

As soon as you're seated, you'll have a tempting signboard presented at your table with every southern classic you can imagine. With entrees like fried chicken and catfish, endless sides like turnip greens, white beans, and just about anything you can imagine fried, and every kind of southern pie, it's all there. The catfish is magnificent, with that wonderfully gritty cornmeal batter surrounding flaky, tender fish. The complimentary roll is also delicious! And the servers are very nice here! But there are some downsides. The fried okra, my favorite southern side dish, is actually soft and soggy. No self respecting southerner would ever make soggy fried okra. It's about the worst I ever had. And the onion rings, which are hard to mess up, were burnt black and lacked flavor. They were inedible. The cashier is rude and doesn't have time for "thank you" or small talk or a smile or even giving you your receipt when nobody else is in line to pay their bill. That's just how it is. If you want good catfish, Sling Shot Charlie's will come through. But if you want a southern culinary experience that's enjoyable, there are much better places to have it!
