I tell you there's nothing better than a well-made sandwich on baguette bread. Mich's is a take out place with a large selection of sandwiches and drinks. Our plan was to order sandwiches and eat them picnic style in the park next to the Eiffel Tower. But of course we when go there we discovered that the park was closed off after the Olympics which initially foiled our plan, but we managed to find a park bench further away next to a dog park and pleasantly ate our sandwiches as the clouds cleared and the sun came out. We stopped by for a quick crepe before bed. The crepes were finished in minutes and were made to order. I got the banana and Nutella crepe and my wife got the strawberry crepe. I truly appreciated how he spread the banana throughout the crepe and didn't just let it be clumped in one section, great delivery. Now, when it comes to the fruit crepes, it's nothing fancy. He literally just spreads store bought jelly in the crepe. Don't get me wrong, it's still good just not stuffed with fresh ingredients. Overall, the crepes were good and the price was fairly cheap, two crepes €8. If you go, know he prefers cash over card. Amazingly cheap and delicious sandwiches from a little grab and go stand not all too far from Notre Dame. Most of the sandwiches and paninis run in the 4 - 5 euro range, which is a steal. Honestly didn't expect too much from them from the look of the place, but as soon as I tasted my salami panini, I was surprised by how great it tasted. The bread was crisp yet soft from being toasted and all of the cheese was perfectly melted in with the tomato and salami. This was a surprise hit for us -- so much so we came back twice. We stayed for a week a few doors down and tried a few of the crepe places. This was by far the best. Fresh and with generous portions of Nutella (or ham/cheese), it was a bargain as well. Also good were the sandwiches. The bread was the big standout. Couldn't eat enough of it. Again, generously portioned and very reasonably priced. It's a limited menu but with cheap prices and quick service, it's a great to-go place. Eat it by the fountains or take it back to your flat. We were both sick after eating these sandwiches and put a burden on our trip (good thing it was the tail end of our trip!). They were huge, the staff was really friendly and the service was fast. The prices were also great, especially considering the size of the crepes. I went to Michs two days ago and I still have dreams of their delicious crepes. Their sandwiches are unrivaled and the bread is incredible. One of the cooks speaks crazy good English that we were convinced he could have possibly originated from Ohio. They use Fresh bananas and Strawberries with their crepes and sell drinks at a very reasonable price. If you're in the area to see the Notre Dame, grab a sandwich on the go and check it out.
