She intentionally wanted to give me a hard time and said no we don't look on papers or do anything to find your number you need your card. She basically told me to sit down and call my insurance or figure it out. They started bickering about my kids and the masks. They are kids , They play , they come off. He spoiled her eye so much that no doctor undertakes to fix it. Without asking us,he put only a distant vision crystal, put some kind of stent for glaucoma, which my mom did not have, and even managed to put the crystal displaced, and not in the center. After all this, he told my mom that the problem was in her head, and not in the way how badly he performed the surgery and just ruined my mom eye. If the light of your eyes is important to you and you want to preserve your eyesight ,Dr. Havunjian is the last person in the world to whom you can trust with your eye vision. Such doctors should be restricted from patients and from performing any kind of surgery. Vision is one of the important senses do not trust it to Havunjian.

They overbook quite often, squashing as many people as possible into the smallish waiting areas. If you have an appointment on these days expect to wait over an hour to see anyone. And they sometimes forget where they put you -- meaning you have to stick your head out of the room like a turtle, asking "Um, I've been put in here for almost 30 minutes?" and having staff gape and gasp at you because they'd lost you! Dr. Kay Park was my surgeon and I have to say she has a most excellent bedside manner. Kind, soft-voiced and extremely patient. She took good time to explain the procedure and on operation day was very encouraging. She even ordered me up a post-op muffin! I really have to say that I have no hard feelings over some of the minor incompetencies in their offices, because at the end of the day my cataracts were removed and I can see again. That almost makes up for everything, no?

Dr.Zarate does not care to update her practice in 2025 or take proactive steps to rectify her practice's wrong and ensure other patients don't fall victim to her negligence. Dr. Zarate is listed as a provider under my insurance. The receptionist booked an appointment for me ONE MONTH out and said Dr. Zarate took my insurance. The receptionist called to confirm my appointment the day prior. I went to my appointment after requesting time off work in advance and they said she doesn't take my insurance. I told them that contradicts what your receptionist who booked this appointment said. Dr. Zarate is listed as a provider in the provider list my insurance had physically mailed me along with my insurance card and that she is currently listed as a provider on the insurance website. They said she use to take that insurance but not anymore. Knowing this was the only day I could take time off work to go see an eye doctor and knowing that all I required from this appointment is for the doctor to simply sign off on the same eye contact prescription that I have had for 14 years, I said how much can I pay out of pocket to get her to sign a new prescription so I can buy my yearly contacts (which was the entire point of my appointment) she said $250 :) These people did not want to work with me on fixing THEIR mistake, nor did they sense the urgency in my visit or even bother to apologize. Did they say they would fix this with the insurance, so that it wouldn't happen to another patient? Absolutely not, because they don't care if it happens again. This practice is stuck in the dark ages along with the archaic and filthy waiting room chairs. To finish off the rude and unprofessional interaction the woman told me I had to pay $2 for validation. How insane do you have to be to bring someone to your practice to not see them and at the end ask them to pay for parking for THEM wasting your time and money. Avoid going here.

The receptionist calls me over and informs me that I will not be able to be seen today because my insurance only covers the other doctor at that clinic and not it does not cover Dr. Zarate. I really don't understand why they did not check my insurance when I made my appointment over a month ago, when they called me yesterday for an appointment reminder, or when I first got to my appointment. Instead, they charge my copay and then wait 45 minutes to figure this, and then tell me I need to reschedule. After all that, they were not able to squeeze me in for an earlier appointment, instead they give me an appointment an entire month out. I'm extremely disappointed and wasted a lot of time for no reason.
