It was almost as if he had came from the sky at the right timing to save us. From the initial phone call, I knew we were in good hands. Tony even made time for me on a separate occasion to do a video call with me and my fiancé at the time to go over the logistics and our preferences. He even went through the trouble of creating a timeline for us so we don't go over on time. Tony was quick to respond to any of my phone call requests and I never had any issues communicating with him throughout the whole planning process. On the day of the wedding, Tony arrived on time as promised at the venue we rented out to do the photo shoot before heading to the church for the ceremony. After our formal introductions to each other, Tony got setup and immediately went to work with no time wasted or empty gaps. His attention to detail is flawless and he kept me well informed of what he was doing at all times. I even bought a sandwich for him to eat for lunch but he didn't eat it until the job was finished. Tony helped me and my wife with all our individual shots and gave us tips on how to pose and where to stand. He is very chill and has an upbeat personality where he makes you feel comfortable when talking with him and making requests to him was so easy. Today, we finally received our wedding photos and we were both in awe of how amazing the photos turned out. At the church, I had to ask Tony if I can extend his services by couple hours and he said he will ask his son first, then got back to me a few minutes later and said he was going to accommodate my request when he did not have to. We ended up wrapping up the majority of the events I wanted Tony to capture early so instead of the 2 additional hours, Tony was cool with just the 1 additional hour and he even did us a favor by taking extra photos for us a few minutes past the additional hour but did not charge us for the time we went over. We really lucked out with Tony. He has such a great personality and is a down to earth man who works hard to support his son. We will always be grateful for these beautiful photos and will cherish these memories for our life. I browsed the portfolios of all the professional photographers in the area on yelp, and I liked Kevin's stylistic approach the best. I work in the alternative energy industry, I wanted my portraits to look modern yet professional. Most of the other photographers specialize in corporate photos in the Pasadena area have an more old fashioned sense of aesthetics. When I called Kevin, he was fast to understand my needs, he asked a lot of good questions to pinpoint what I'm after and on top of that he gave a very reasonable hourly rate quote! By the time I showed up in his studio, the white backdrop and lighting were already set up and ready to go! We wasted no time at all! I showed a few photos on pinterest and kevin coached me to pose with the appropriate posture and body language with ease! Everyone in the studio was friendly and helpful through the process. Within the 1.5 hours I was there, Kevin and his team were highly efficient and effective. We were able to fit in 2 outfit changes and shoot both indoor and outdoor photos all within one session. To make sure we got all the photos we needed and I would be happy with the final outcome, Kevin showed the photos real time on his large monitor as we were taking them indoors and on the camera screen when we shot outdoors. I discovered that Kevin and his team even went the distance to shoot test shots of his assistants in the "Linkedin" backdrop prior to my arrival so that I could maximize the utilization of time in studio. The turn-around for delivery was both very smooth and fast. Within 24 hours Kevin delivered retouched versions of the indoor photos we agreed on, and the rest of the outdoor photos followed the next day. I would heartily recommend Kevin and his team to friends and colleagues any time.

John Yao is the man! I've been following his work for almost 10 years (ew, did I just say that out…read moreloud?) and I knew I wanted to use him for my wedding photos even before I started dating my (now) husband. In fact, he was the first vendor we reached out right after we got engaged until we realized soon enough we should probably book the venue and date first ... We booked him for our engagement and wedding shoot and had a great experience! First of all, it's unhuman how he responds to emails within 5 minutes regardless of whether you email him at 2pm or 2am. It's true what everyone else says about him making you feel really comfortable at shoots. John's extremely professional which makes it extra funny when he'll drop in something super random like "give me a sexy pose" during a shoot. On our wedding day, he showed up early and led us and our bridal party through all photos - we didn't have to think about anything, just went with his flow. There was one hitch with the location I chose for our bridal party photos but John managed to find another great spot quickly on campus before we even had a chance to leave the first one. I also want to mention John had his first baby the week prior to our wedding. I figured he must at least be exhausted but he was on top of it throughout our whole wedding day (and not to mention even before, he was responding to our emails as he was getting ready to go to the hospital for the delivery of his first born??) Anyway, my point is John is committed and you can count on him! My husband and I are so happy with the way everything turned out (John delivered the photos early too!) and couldn't have asked for a better photographer.
