One of the most important things my husband and I wanted on our wedding day were our photos! The wedding day will pass but photos are seriously forever. PerPixel did NOT disappoint! We found them on Instagram, loved their style, and asked for a 6-hour package (~$3400) with the lead photographers. The day before our wedding, I last-minute decided I wanted a photographer to come to our hotel room to snap photos of me & my bridesmaids getting ready and they responded quickly and added on an extra hour (+$450)! I'm so thankful that they were so flexible. I realized that the ONE person that you spend the MOST time with on your wedding day is... surprisingly, NOT your groom, but your PHOTOGRAPHER! From getting ready all the way until the end of the reception, your photographer is by your side, capturing the most important shots of the wedding. So a great wedding photographer isn't just great at taking photos, but is one who makes you feel comfortable and brings the best side of you throughout your wedding day. I 3000% believe that Bryan and Daniel were able to do that for me (& my husband, who's a bit more camera shy)! I was genuinely sad to see them go after our wedding ended, because we had such a great time with them! I can't even begin to talk about how polite, friendly, & chill Daniel & Bryan were! We had an intimate wedding (no photobooth) and we were able to take photos with most of our guests during the reception. Bryan & Daniel were not only willing to take every single one of those photos (even though we never asked them to), but they were even willing to hold our guests bags/purses while they took the photos! They were so smile-y and happy the entire time, even spoke some polite Korean to our relatives, which was extremely kind of them! Not to mention, our photos came only 11 DAYS AFTER OUR WEDDING!! What?! I expected it to come 5 WEEKS after, but James must be extremely fast at editing them. We were able to enjoy them even before our honeymoon! We simply emailed the album to all of our guests, who enjoyed them a TON as well! =) I ABSOLUTELY loved each photo that they took. I can't believe they were able to capture so many beautiful candid shots throughout the day. At the initial stages of planning our wedding, my now-husband and I listed out our top 3 most important / splurge-worthy costs. Photography was on both of our top 3 lists... so began our search. We must have contacted at list a dozen photographers both in the Bay Area and in Southern California (we live in San Francisco and had our wedding in Southern California, where we both grew up). James was everything we had hoped for and more! Our wedding was this past Sunday (9/18) and his team went above and beyond. For our engagement shoot, we decided we wanted to do it in the rollings hills in Ventura County, and he was more than willing to make the two hour drive through traffic to meet us early. During the shoot, even though it was his first time at the location, he gave us fantastic direction and was able to quickly orient himself with the area to figure out exactly how the shoot could go. Our engagement photos were great! Our wedding was wonderful as well. He showed up early with a colleague of his, and they split up, one covering the groom and their preparations, and James covering the bride and the detail shots. The men rejoined us after the first look at the Mission in San Juan Capistrano, and James was able to direct the entire wonderful affair. While we haven't seen any photos yet as it's only been a week, the best man snuck a few iPhone pictures in and we already know that they are going to be great. The ceremony and wedding itself was seamless. James was everywhere we needed him to be when we needed him, grabbing us for some solo photos by the railroad tracks during cocktail hour and sticking around for group photos during dinner. Finally, he also checked in with us at the end of the night before leaving to make sure that we had all the shots we needed, which was a very nice touch. I think photography for a wedding is the most important thing! You only get one chance to capture that moment, otherwise you better have super human photographic memory, but even then you can't share those images with others! So for our wedding we did a lot of research and found some overcharging after seeing their average samples. Some wouldn't even share some of their work, which was a bit fishy. When someone recommended James and Perpixel, we looked him up and we were quite blown away by the elegance and how he captured the essence of his work. I've actually seen him at several other weddings before using service and even after. The pricing is reasonable, James is extremely professional and easy to work with. He'll have an additional photographer on hand since he can't be at two places at once. Both showed up dressed professionally, so you don't have to be worried or embarrassed if they stand out. They worked with the surroundings to capture the element of each photo. As a matter of fact, my current yelp photo is one of James' works of art! Also, James was extremely personable, not a moment did we have to question if we were talking to a robot or if we made a mistake. Even now I'm more than happy to hear from him and knowing that he's still thriving in what he does best. Let me just say... everything you want in a professional photographer on your very own special day-- he will deliver. Our wedding was at an intimate setting at a small winery in Temecula, CA. Since meeting my now husband... I devoted hours upon hours of pinterest and research on planning the perfect wedding. James accommodated us by agreeing to shoot our engagement photos in 2 different settings, one at the beach and one at a park without an extra charge. He kindly suggested Laguna Beach and Laguna Park and it couldn't have been more perfect. He let us feel comfortable, silly, and in-love. He has the magic touch with his camera-- he can capture the most split second of perfecting lighting and smiles. Before the wedding, I had written detailed instructions to all my vendors and when and where to show since we started shooting at the hotel where everyone was getting ready first. Where do I even begin!! Two of my friends had already done photos with Per Pixel and when I saw how AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL they turned out, I knew I had to contact Per Pixel and get a quote.
