Great service and excellent drinks ! The scenic views are amazing and pair well with the tasty food . Definitely worth a visit !

Three of us wandering around Estes Park and we were handed token for a free moonshine tasting. We decided to go in and get a sample and some lunch. I ordered the Pulled pork sandwich. It came with a decent portion of meat on a very tasty bun. You also get one choice of sides: coleslaw, fries, homemade kettle chips, smoked beans, side salad ($2 extra), Mac and cheese. I opted for the smoked beans. Flavor was good. However, beans were way undercooked and had much too much sweetness to them. I would definitely not order them again. My partner ordered the same sandwich with the Carolina BBQ sauce and had the coleslaw for the side. It was a typical coleslaw and nothing different from the usual or expected. My favorite Aunt ordered the smoked chicken club and she was very pleased. The chicken had a very nice taste of smoke without being overpowering which is easy to do with chicken. The kettle ships that she ordered were homemade and delicious. (sidenote: when asked, the server had no idea if the kettle chips were made in-house from from a bag) Overall, it wasn't a bad place to eat. If I was in town again, personally, I would probably try another place but not because this establishment was bad in any way, just to get experience elsewhere. I would not recommend the smoked beans side dish and the staff need more training on the menu so that she doesnt look silly in front of customers when answering questions. read more

Service was a little slow. We were told the person who takes food orders was on a break. Spacious inside for seating and outside. Prices were reasonable. Bathrooms were clean. The worst chicken tenders I've ever had. Dry, chewy hard, they tasted like they were 3 days old. It says it comes with BBQ sauce but I had to ask 3 times before they gave me any. And, and, and then! My dining partner ordered the spinach salad and it came without any dressing. He asked for dressing and they said they were out of the dressing. They served a dry salad without telling us! They did then offer a different dressing so it was edible. But they served a salad without dressing because they were out of dressing! Hahaha jokes on us read more

We were walking around Estes Park and were drawn in by the sign that offered free moonshine tastings. I feel a little dumb now because I had no idea who Michael Ballard was or that the show Full Throttle Saloon even existed until after visiting. It's a nice little distillery. There's a bar with tables in the back to enjoy some drinks, as well as a tasting bar up front. We were able to try out some free tastings of different moonshine flavors, and they have a wide variety to choose from. It definitely warmed us up on that cold day! read more

Unfortunately we didn't get to experience too much of this place as we waited for service at the outdoor tables, didn't get any, then figured it was a place you needed to go directly to the bar for, still waited and got no service (and no drink menus around to understand their offering) so we ended up leaving after going out of our way to walk here. They were certainly short staffed which I understand is a problem these days, but unfortunate nonetheless as we will likely think twice before trying to go back in the future. They have a really nice patio area outside and the interior is well-kept, so it is a nice place overall. Just wish our service experience was better. read more

Great place. Good food and drinks. We went in for lunch and you have to order at the bar and then find your seat. They had indoor and outdoor seating available. We ordered a few drinks as well. The staff was super friendly and checked on us several times. The burger and fries and Honey chicken sandwich were good. The dipping sauce was awesome for the fries. The grilled corn was meh definitely not a lot of flavor but not terrible. The drinks were awesome. We went over to the sample bar and girl who help us was awesome and very knowledgeable. We actually bought some to take home. Definitely a low key spot to grab a bite and a drink. Definitely will go back and recommend this place. read more

Visiting from Chicago area hiking Rocky Mountain National Park, we were walking through Estes Park after a ten mile hike so hungry for some comfort food. We saw this restaurant with plenty of outdoor seating so decided to check it out. Ordered at the counter, found a seat and enjoyed the view of the mountains while listening to some good classic rock. I ordered the patty melt with their signature fries and my friend got the BLT. My burger was tender and juicy, cooked just right. Reasonable prices for food and drink considering the area. So we went to this place after we left Estes brewery and this place hands down is much nicer. Granted it's a distillery and they have free tastings. The staff is FREAKING awesome. Food was good for bar food. The whole atmosphere was just relaxing and half was outside and inside. Beat little spot ever. The portions of the food is insane. The fries were some chunky curly fry but of course good w whatever seasoning they used. I ordered some fried chicken thing that had a kick but delicious. Full throttle distillery was an amazing experience due to Miller, the hillbilly mixologist. He was very friendly and approachable, and answered all of our questions. He gave us a great education on where the moonshine was from. It was very interesting to know that the moonshine was made in Tennessee. He also made us a mixed sample drink that was phenomenal. Our first time to visit Full Throttle and simply loved the atmosphere, food, live music and moonshine offerings. Miller was in the house serving up his moonshine concoctions, exposing each along the way. We wound up spending quite a bit off his recommendations. They had live music going, loved the artist and the patio setup. However, service had some shortcomings and noticed that as soon as we stepped in. The pointy goatee guy serving sodas and taking orders outside was brutal enough to turn folks away quickly. While placing a soda order a guy came up to get ice, from the ice machine, and he yelled at the guy to do not use the ice machine. Why, I'm not sure, no sign on the machine saying not to use the ice machine. Another service shortcoming, ordering drinks from bar was a challenge, but closing the bar tab was where the real challenge was, you cannot close your tab with anyone other than the person that took your order. I believe she was on smoke break, so we waited.... Aside from that, the place is really cool and the moonshine and live music are amazing. read more

Not to mention, we sat at the bar for 15 minutes unacknowledged as the manager and another employee stood in the back and shot the shit. Going to say this first. They aren't Pefect and that's not why I give these guys 5 stars. They are building a great little place here in Estes. Amazing building, really great deco. Really nice selection of flavored moonshine and whiskey. Great place to hang out with your spouse or friends. They brought someone in special to run start the new kitchen. Pretty much some of the best bar food I've had. Excellent burgers, fries, presented like a nice restaurant. You can order food at the bar, or order off to the side and find your on table. Been here many times in the past. Unfortunately/fortunately never had the chicken tenders. $16 for clearly frozen absolutely flavorless tenders. (Probably supplied by Sysco or Shamrock Foods) Easily the worst tenders I've had in my life. Everything else I've ever had at Full Throttle was great. Our new go-to restaurant in Estes Park! We walked in as a party of 12 without a reservation, and the folks at Full Throttle happily accommodated us. Penny was THE BEST waitress! She is so knowledgable about the moonshine and food options, and she didn't steer us wrong in her recommendations. She was so sweet and friendly, and you can see she is passionate about the well-being of the restaurant and its guests. All 12 of us practically licked our plates; not one of us felt even slightly dissatisfied with our food. We will be back for every visit to Estes Park! read more

This was sure a disappointment. Excited for a new and promising restaurant in Estes. There's no sign of food or a menu on their Facebook pages. That should have been my first red flag. The person taking the food didn't know up from down and got our food all messed up. Lukewarm water might be okay if it was self served in regular dining situations but the thought of having to use the tiny Dixie cup to get water from an old school looking water fountain really grossed me out. We were fighting bugs the entire time too (which isn't a big deal but added to the experience). The food is frozen - not only can you taste the difference but someone was pushing a cart through the streets with frozen onion rings and into the restaurant. The bartender didn't know what he had. The person taking the food didn't know the menu. The place has promise aside from the food and the staff because it's in a great location. Come here for the alcohol - not the food. read more
