Snowy peaks winery has a huge variety of wines!! I love traminette and gerwurtzaminer wines and they had both along with a dozen other white wines as well as reds and rose wines. Their charcuterie options were also abundant but we opted for the Colorado wild game sausage board. So worth it to try some exotic meats including elk, wild boar & blueberry, and the most interesting in my opinion...the pheasant and rattlesnake sausage. Snowy Peaks Winery is seriously upping their game, and it shows. The place feels totally refreshed with new paint, a new menu, and an overall new vibe that's warm, welcoming, and fun. The staff is outstanding--everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had the best experience. You can tell they really care about what they're building here. The wine selection is excellent, and their flights are a steal at just $14. They also offer meads, mulled cider, and an entirely new food menu that pairs perfectly with the drinks. There's clearly a lot of thought going into the experience now. We also heard a new deck area is coming soon, plus plans for a paella night--which honestly sounds amazing and gives us even more reason to come back. A regular stop for us, best winery in Estes.... Only one actually. Nonetheless very good wine. The people are great and ready to serve. Good knowledge of their wines and the tastings are fun. They are not set up for food, but they do have a great selection of local meats, cheeses and crackers to pair with your wine. These are prepackaged and can take home or open here at the winery. I thoroughly enjoyed this winery! Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Their wine flight is served in a cute little tree and they even have locally made truffles that pair with the wines! The service was top notch and everyone was very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu items. We made a tasting reservation for a Friday late afternoon. Absolutely perfection. Live music- lived it! Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Parking is a little tricky- they have a few designated spots at the back, but we chose to park in the city lot just a block or so away. The tasting comes on a tree which is great- takes up less table space. Kids loved the juice tasting-- AWESOME idea!! They have crackers, cheese and meats for purchase. There is parking around back!! This is a great add on to your Estes visit, and they make all of their wines in house. The flights are only $12 and you can pick out cheeses and snacks to go with for a great experience!! The sweets are sweet- but almost all of their reds are dry so there is something for everyone. This is also a great place to try mead if you've ever wanted to! It's incredibly sweet- so if you're into dry finishes this is not it! Came by Snowy Peaks one late afternoon for a tasting. My husband got one flight and I got another, which we both shared. Service was good throughout our tasting. What we tried and our opinions: Gewurztraminer - good, but my husband enjoyed this one a lot more than I did. Traminette - did not enjoy Riesling - just okay Sweet Muscat Blend "Moscato" - it was okay, but better than the Riesling Touch of Red (Rose) - good Eleve Sucre - very good Black Muscat (fortified) - did not enjoy Harrison Apple Cider - very good Cokecherry Mead - did not enjoy Pomegranate - just like a pomegranate juice - sweet. Cherry - this one was more like cherry cough syrup, could not get over that taste to enjoy it. Since we were traveling, we couldn't take much with us, but we did get a couple bottles to enjoy throughout our trip - Gewurztraminer, Touch of Red, and Eleve Sucre. While these would not be up there with my favorite wines, they still had good options that make it worth a visit if you are in the area. read more

Black muscat - sickly sweet, not a fave Élevé sucré - absolutely lovely. We got a bottle! Golden russet cider - tart! Good if you don't want overly sweet Apple nectar mead - not sweet as far as meads are concerned. I was expecting straight nectar but it wasn't bad! Lunar lemon mead - Clorox. Dry Riesling - semi-sweet, very dry, can't really smell. not my thing Traminette - this was supposed to be sweet but is very tart for me. It's not bad but I disagree with all of the tasting notes. Sweet Riesling - sweet and fruity Touch of red - tutti frutti is correct. Very sweet. Made me feel sick :( Pomegranate wine - tart and fruity. Definitely for those who like fruit but don't want something sickly sweet as a mead. read more

We tasted five wines--a crisp Albariño that was citrusy and floral, a beautifully balanced Élevé, a bold and earthy Teroldego (neither of us had ever had that grape), a well-structured Bordeaux-style blend (Sebastian's Reserve), and a Petit Verdot that was bold but welcoming. Honestly, not a weak pour in the bunch. The staff was warm and friendly. And here's the kicker--there's a play area for small children right next to the tasting room. Our 2-year-old had the time of his life while we swirled, sniffed, and sipped. Genius! We left with a couple of bottles and zero regrets. Enjoyed this spot! We got in right before they closed and they were kind enough to accommodate us. My husband and I each tried a flight - got to choose between reds and whites. While I usually enjoy robust reds, I found myself pleasantly surprised by the white wines I tried. They were delish! Service was friendly and knowledgeable. The server saw me by the play area with my daughter so she offered to bring us both our flights to enjoy while hanging out there, so we didn't have to go back and forth. The play area is so cute and has a lot of fun options (toys and books) to keep littles entertained. In wineries we've been to in the past, they'd waive the tasting fee if we bought a bottle, which would've been nice to see/take advantage of here as well. We went to Snowy Peaks on Memorial Day 2025 and surprisingly found the place almost empty. With everything going on in Estes Park I figured it would be packed. Well, it should have been we found the place awesome! The four of us were served by Mike a fellow Air Force Veteran. He was friendly, knowledgeable and served us very well. We did a flight of wines to taste and I fould every one really good. So, i ordered 6 bottles to take with us and will enjoy ordering from their website. Albert, if I remeber correctly, the owner, was right there with the staff and was pleasent to talk with about the place. Looking forward to seeing his new adventures with a restuarant on the horizon. I would definitely come back to Snowy Peaks. I liked it so much, I bought 5 bottles to take home with me. We were last-minute tourists hoping to grab a seat before they closed when they mentioned they had outdoor seating. Was it cold out? yes. Does wine warm you up? Also yes. We figured we'd risk it; have a quick tasting and take a bottle or two back to our Airbnb to get out of the cold. Imagine my surprise when we find out the patio was heated. Not only did they have overhead heating, but they also had personal propane heaters at each table and butt warmers. You read that right - butt warmers. Our awesome server put us on a waitlist to go inside but despite indoor seating becoming available, we elected to stay outside and so did the couple who sat a table down from us. I don't think I've ever had Colorado wine before but I loved it. Our favorites are the Malbec, Mourvedre, Merlot, and Oso Red. We bought a bottle of each. Our service was impeccable, the wine was fantastic, and we took one bottle to go and our server was kind enough to box the rest for us to pick up the next day to travel back home. They have charcuterie options and if you buy enough wine, they comp the tasting which was a nice touch. I love that they're incredibly supportive of other local businesses and artisans. I would say this is a "must go" while you're in Estes Park. read more

This place is amazing and the staff is even better! Lots of great places to sit depending on the size of your group and the vibe you are looking for. We had a very large group which they were able to accommodate outside. We were worried about the weather but it is completely covered and dog friendly. As soon as we got settled the staff brought cider tastings for all the kids so they were able to have a fun experience as well. They provided such a great selection of wines. Overall I would recommend the Cab Franc as well as the Oso Red and Whites. The Pomegranate wine is not good whatsoever or the Cheese that they compared to a saltier Brie. I left that one there. Their only rosè was delicious as well as The goat cheese spread that was so delightful and the wine tasting for $8 is divinely perfect for tourists and locals alike. We like to staycation a lot in Estes and these business contribute to its welcoming and scenic image. After the fires you've got to stop by and show love. They are pet friendly in the patio and with the exception of a few Bees, the experience was exceptional. Very happy we discovered this gem and will be back soon to show more love and enjoy different wines. They have a great selection of wines, crackers and cheese with nice views and service.
