It was suggested we check out 477 distilling and boy it was a fabulous suggestion! After purveying the options, we ordered a couple of living legends old fashions and a pretty boi. YUM! All of the drinks were smooth and flavorful. In fact the OFs were so good we purchased a bottle! We also decided to try a flight which was also tasty. It was a 80's theme night and music was playing and people dressed the part. Great crowd. I would definitely return. read more

This review is for the new Loveland location... First off, there are no servers. You are required to self-order everything at the bar, and you have to go to two separate places to order drinks and food. Super annoying when you are trying to have a nice brunch with friends and everyone has to stand in a line/be away from the table for so long ordering their own stuff.. And they want you to still tip...for what?! They won't even give you a water from the bar...that too is a self-service drink dispenser. They don't even have menus on the tables (or online) so I had to ask where they were located before we could even attempt to order. Now onto the food/service/CROSS CONTAMINATION: I ordered the chicken and waffles, which are NOT supposed to contain jalapeños, but as you can see from my photo there were plenty in there. I went back up to the ordering counter to double check the menu to see if I missed that, or maybe they gave me the wrong order. The girl at the counter says, "Oh they must have been left over in the griddle after your husband's order" (he did get jalapeños on his). Like what???? You don't wipe down the waffle iron between orders??? DISGUSTING. Makes me wonder about the cleanliness overall if that's their excuse. She did offer to have them remake it for me "if the jalapeños are all throughout, but they are probably just on the edges after his order"... Thank god I'm not allergic to jalapeños or they'd have a lawsuit on their hands. Also the mac n cheese is soupy and bland..reminds me of KFC mac but sadly, KFC is even better than this.. They also don't put any prices on the drink menu, so who knows what a cocktail would run you. After the table next to us had to go back up to ask if they forgot about their drinks, I was glad we didn't order one. Note they were not busy at all either on a Saturday, which maybe should have been our first red flag. This place sucks. And I understand that waffles are their thing here, but it would be nice to have at least a couple alternate options. read more

Tower 56 was a delight! We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was live music the night that we decided to go out. The folk band added greatly to the ambiance and overall was a great time! But the real star of the night was the coffee old fashioned. It was delicious, their coffee spirit is truly head and shoulders above any other coffee flavored liquor I've ever had. It was so hard to resist the temptation to order another one...or two! But alas we also tried the s'mores and the bee's knees which were also good. With my sister visiting from the Pacific Northwest, I wanted to show her that GREELEY ( yes, stop laughing) can have cool things, too. This is a large space with scattered seating and a casual mood. Wednesday night is not a busy night most places and such was the case here- which was fine and dandy with us as we had the full attention of the cheery staff. Everything is made on site- they had been making gin on the day we were there. My fave drink was the Bee's Knees ( I am a beekeeper) and they make their own vanilla honey syrup. The similar drink with bourbon is called the Colorado Gold Rush and was also stellar. You can bring in food from local places is my understanding of the food policy. read more

I enjoyed this place. They had a very fun trivia night that brought in a good crowd. The bartenders and staff were friendly and the cocktails were tasty. My only complaint was that my kids' lemonades were $8 each! I didn't know this until I took care of my tab. I think that if a soft drink is that expensive, they should let me know when I order. I know that it is a bar that doesn't necessarily cater to families, but on Harry Potter Trivia night, they should have a selection of soft drinks. For two vodka cocktails and four lemonades, my bill came to $52!! read more

Popped into 477 Distillery today to try some local Greeley bourbons. They had a gorgeous bourbon and then some interesting varieties! Cinnamon, peanut butter and root beer! This was our 5th stop and last of the day following some of the locations on the Colorado spirits trail and instead of doing a flight here we chose to have some mixed drinks. They were both amazing and the andes candy drink was like a decadent dessert. It is a huge welcoming space and they put out some great spirits. We've been into Tower 56 maybe 5 or 6 times, but every time we are welcomed like a "regular". Every person we have encountered who works there is friendly and outgoing without being overbearing. The space itself is open and modern. The vodka is my favorite, but their other spirits are great as well. They have some very unique mixed drinks and you can even order a couple tacos from next door if you're hungry. A great addition to downtown! read more
