    Waiting in the parking lot
    Irene G.

1st let me say there don't take appointments. Don't try to call because it's a recording and no one answers. If you want to be seen just be prepared to wait for hours. We got there on Wednesday around 11:45 and waiting to check in. The people in the front are so busy checking in, talking to the Vet and calling people to the rooms. I noticed that people came in the morning and checked in and left and came back and still weren't called yet. We actually stayed in the parking lot. We found a shady spot and took a blanket and water for our dog. We finally got called to be seen around 3:30. The Vet came in the room seen our dog which were told that she probably has a swollen or bruised tendon on her paw. Was recommended that we give her some medicine or we can do X-rays. He suggested that it doesn't look broken because she was using it to walk around and just when doing certain things she would lift it up. I liked that they gave us an option. The Vet said allow 10days of rest and the medication and if it doesn't heal we can go back to get the X-rays. Again I love how they gave us the option to decide instead of telling us that she needed X-rays right then and there to get any kind of money. I do feel that the people in the front should be more friendlier or smile a little more maybe they were just so overwhelmed with so much going on. I didn't have to pay an overpriced office visit and medication. I got 3 medications and the office visit came out to $109. So it's like this you want something not overpriced and honest then you have to just suck up the wait time. I would go back again. But I think next time I would wake up really early to check in and wait. Instead of going the time I went last time.

Great service, staff is very friendly and attentive to the animals and customers. Every time I went for a check up and ear posting staff made sure everything was streamlined and able to get in and out as fast as possible. Happy with my puppies results. I continued posting his ears weekly for 3 months after posting. His ears were able to stay up Thank you to Staff for all your help

One of the best vets out there! Staff is very friendly and caring about our Prada. Prada was struggling to pass her stool and was very patient with her. They got her feeling so much better and they're very good with their prices. They are a first come first serve so it's best to be there before 8am especially on Saturdays. Will be coming back to get her and our other furbabies spayed. Thank you Dr. and thank you staff!

I've been coming to this place for over 10 years and the staff is super nice especially dealing with the amount of people that come through. Yes they are still in the same old building but it's still functional. Yes you are going to wait long depending on what you're coming in for but to me it's worth the wait. If it's summer time bring an ice chest with water and snacks for you and your animal but recommend to try to come in spring or fall/winter when weather is good. Bring your patience they go in order from the time you check in. Our recent visit was for updated vaccines for my 12 year old Olde English Bulldog Daken they treated him so great and although he was nervous he did good.

3 stars is solid if you coming here for small things like vaccines, skin allergy etc. I read a handful of reviews and did the same with other vets. They seem to be the best for ear cropping. I have a now 4 month old American Bully and had her ears cropped with Butchko. $495 depending on weight of your pup. Mine was 17.5 at the time, she was 11 weeks old. Not the best ear crop but not the worst. A little uneven on her right her. I won't come back for an ear crop on any of my pups. I'm by Temecula and drive out there because so called he is good. I beg the differ. I had to make a post about it. Save your money & time get it done else where.

I really wish the staff was more knowledgeable about what's going on on a day to day basis. It seemed no one knew what was going on each time we came by or could give us a clear/definite answer. We drove from Nevada because we wer recommended to dr.Butchko by the owners of our pups parents (who looked beautiful). After driving down We wer told we couldn't get a crop, and then someone else said we could. we tried driving down a second time after calling numerous times and not being able to set up an appointment. We got lucky and wer told they'd be able to take her in the second time around. (After speaking with maybe 3 different people who all told us different things.) But actually meeting the Dr I was relieved he helped me decide what would look best for our pups face and what look we wanted. He did an amazing job. Not a fan of the rest of the staff wish it was easier to make an appointment but we are happy with the results.

2 hours 46 minutes ringing into Dr. Butchko's office to get an answer about my dogs surgery and test results...and still ringing.

Headline: Life-Threatening Negligence and Fraudulent Charting - Do Not Trust This Clinic…read moreI am writing this as a medical professional who had to perform my own clinical audit to save my dog from this office's incompetence. My dog, Twinkie, was failed by Dr. Mean and her staff on multiple levels: 1. Fraudulent Documentation & Lack of Physical Exam: The records claim Dr. Mean performed a heart exam on Twinkie. This is a blatant lie; she never even touched my dog. Furthermore, a covering vet performed a suture removal but failed to document any of the clinical concerns we raised. Vitals that were taken by a tech on an intake form were never entered into the formal medical record. 2. Misdiagnosis & Dangerous Over-Medication: Despite Twinkie showing clear signs of anaphylaxis right in front of the staff, they "shrugged it off" and insisted she was having syncope (fainting) due to heart failure. Without proper diagnostics, they jumped straight to a heavy cocktail of Enalapril and Vetmedin and Furosemide. 3. Intentional Withholding of Records: I believe this office intentionally stalled sending my records to the cardiologist. Once they realized a specialist would be reviewing their "work," they likely realized they had jumped the gun. Because they failed to provide the records, I had to act as my own investigator. 4. The Proof is in the Recovery: After connecting the dots myself, I realized the Enalapril was dropping her blood pressure below baseline and the Furosemide was dangerously dehydrating her. I made the clinical decision to stop the medications. Within 24 hours of being off their "treatment," Twinkie was back to her old self--active and barking. A subsequent exam by a different, competent veterinarian confirmed she is healthy, her heart is fine, and she never needed the medication. Final Word: If I hadn't used my own medical background to challenge their narrative, their "treatment" for a non-existent heart condition would have killed my dog. Their clinical notes are vague, their charting is dishonest, and their diagnostic skills are non-existent. Go elsewhere.

My…read moredaughter brought her schnauzer here because she had been sick, unable to eat, not gaining weight, and generally feeling unwell. They ran $600.00 in blood tests and found nothing. She took her back, and they prescribed steroids, but they didn't help. She returned, expressing her frustration, and by this point, she was desperate to find a solution for her puppy's condition. Instead of collaborating with her and potentially suggesting some ideas, the doctor seemed uninterested in understanding the issue. When my daughter asked him what they could try, all he could say was, "Well, you can." He offered no suggestions whatsoever. My daughter even suggested a biopsy, which he had recommended during the previous appointment, and suddenly, it was "well, we can." Naturally concerned about her dog's well-being, my daughter returned, and they prescribed her Metoclopramide. However, this made her worse. She became lethargic, refused to eat, and slept excessively, acting completely different from her usual self. Instead of trying to diagnose the problem, they seemed more interested in masking the symptoms. As a result, we still don't know what's wrong with her. I believe that when they see my daughter, they perceive her as a young child, which is why they treated her differently. I would strongly advise against visiting this vet. These veterinarians don't care about the animals or their owners; they're just there to make money. They don't want to put in the effort to figure out what's wrong with the animals; they simply want everything to be easy. I feel that since they couldn't figure it out, they didn't want to deal with it anymore. The last visit, my daughter also asked if she would still be able to be spayed even though she's been vomiting. The vet proceeded to tell her yes, she doesn't have to tell them that she's vomiting.
