I had my consultation with the Dr. and that went great. The Dr. himself told me that he doesn't deal with the financials and unfortunately I had to leave after the consult but the gentleman in charge of making estimates promised to get me numbers by the end of the day. They never came. I called back 3 times over the next week asking for the estimates so I could decide on which course to take and I didn't get any answers or responses to the messages I left. On the fourth try, a full week later I got a phone call back but was unavailable, and a woman left a message saying that only the Dr. could provide an estimate and he was gone all week. The complete opposite of what the Dr. himself said. It has now been almost a month and I never got a single unprompted follow up, and was never sent any estimates for anything by anyone. I've never had to work this hard to give a business my money. I had no choice but to go to another clinic which thankfully treated me with more respect and reliability. Just had my first appointment at Parkway Dental and honestly couldn't be happier. From the moment I walked in, everyone made me feel comfortable and heard. Monica and Dr. Haight were incredibly patient, took time to review my history, and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. The doctor also did a really thorough head and neck exam, which I appreciated -- it felt like they genuinely care about your overall health, not just your smile. Parkway Dental is OK. Not perfect, not fantastic. They have up to date equipment and advanced technology, like the ability to make crowns and inlays with a CAD printer in minutes. Unfortunately you always seem to be waiting for a doctor to check the dental technician's work and provide a quick assessment. The waiting time is usually more than expected, which makes your appointment last longer than anticipated. Some of the treatment rooms aren't fully private, as they have a wall that doesn't fully extent to the exterior wall. You can hear the patient next to you, which is dislike. I have switched to another practice since Parkway dropped my insurance provider. I received a notification from my insurance carrier, but not from Parkway. The courtesy of a notification from the practice would have been appreciated. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my daughters a week in advance. I asked them to verify their insurance at the time of the request. I never heard from them so I assumed they accepted it. We showed and checked in 10 minutes early. 15 AFTER appointment time the receptionist informed me they don't accept their insurance! This inconvenience could have been avoided and the disrespect for my and my family's time is untenable. Response to reply: now the agency has responded that I made my appointment Friday after closing and our appointment was first thing Monday.... the attached screenshot shows they verified our appointment Thursday morning! Our family has been going to Dr. Haight for many years now. I am sorry to read some of the negative reviews, because having a dentist that one trusts 150% is important - and that is how I feel about him. When my mom moved here in 2023 and had incredible mouth pain, he immediately worked her in and helped her. He continues to help her, even though her teeth are a mess and she is anything but an easy patient. They are very compassionate with her, even when she shows up with no appointment. My younger daughter, who now lives in Texas, said that she isn't really happy with her current dentist and she "wants to find someone like Dr. Haight and Parkway, a family practice with a personalized feel." Insurance issues are certainly complicated for all patients, but even if my insurance didn't cover part of our costs, we would stay with this practice. read more

My husband just separated from the military and went into federal service. At the same time my dentist unexpectedly passed away. I called Parkway Dental's office to make an appointment. I told the woman I spoke to what insurance we have (fepblue dental) and she said "oh, ok". I am a provider myself and if I said that to a client it would mean to indicate that I accept her insurance. If I didn't, I would say so. I scheduled my appointment several weeks out and filled out the intake paperwork immediately. My husband was able to get in for an appointment before I did, about 2 weeks later. I still had not heard back from Dr. Haight's office. Then after the appointment, Dr. Haight's office contacted him to tell him that they didn't take our insurance and we owe them $700. We put it on a credit card. Dr. Haight's office offers an annual care plan that is not even that expensive, but that wasn't mentioned either. (I found out about that later) Nope, nope, nope. Won't be going here. They don't accept insurance from one of the largest employers in town? And the wait until afterwards to tell us? I'll be looking for a different dentist whose office behaves in an ethical and competent manner. My solo practice software verifies insurance in less than 5 minutes. I enter the info, and click a button. That's it. The hospital I used to work for operates the same way. It's a shame. My husband really liked him. Said he was attentive and professional. They used to take our insurance, but they do not anymore. Instead of letting you know ahead of time they wait until your visit is over and inform you. But they so "graciously" give you a discount on those services. Happened to my sister in law. So I called when my appointment was being cancelled and brought this up. I was told that they would reach out to my insurance and email me a quote. Never got it, but they didn't hesitate to send me a bill for not showing up. When we did go there they have good technology. A great big shout out to Dr. Haight and his excellent staff for helping us in our hour of need! We were in town for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta and bit down and lost a crown. We called Dr. Haight's office and told them our dilemma and they just wanted to know how soon we could be there. Went right over and were very warmly greeted, filled out a little paperwork and was in a chair within minutes. Avoid Parkway Dental! I became a patient for a standard cleaning and an NTI (a device to relieve acute headaches). Seemed simple enough - I was expecting 3 visits maximum and a nominal out of pocket expense to address these items. I ended up visiting Parkway Dental SEVEN times in three months (missing about 20 hours of work), being fit for a superfluous mouth guard by an unsupervised intern (requiring multiple re-fits during follow-up appointments) and then charged around $300 without any explanation. If you are interested in the details, I've outlined them below. The short answer is, I highly discourage using Parkway Dental. During my first visit, my teeth were cleaned as expected and I was told the "NTI" can be made in one day in the office. My second (mandatory) visit was described as "discussion time with Dr. Haight" and the NTI was not ready. I was asked to schedule a third appointment. During my third visit with Dr. Haight, I was talked into getting a nightguard (mouthguard) for more long-term care; this was not one of my initial reasons for visiting Parkway Dental, but I mistakenly trusted the recommendation of obtaining one. The mouthguard ended up being a complete disaster due to lack of supervision on the dentist's behalf and failure to explain the mouthguard properly. The first mold was poured by a very nice, but unsupervised intern and would not harden, so she tried again. The second mold went so far down my throat that I could not breathe, and Parkway Dental ended up with an imprint of my tonsils. There was no mention of my NTI, so I reminded Dr. Haight about it and he said that it would only take a few minutes, he could make it in his office, but I'd have to come back for a FOURTH visit. I had already expressed my concern about the frequency of the visits - I work fulltime and was exhausting my sick leave for seemingly no return. During my fourth visit, I finally received my NTI. To offset that good news, I was notified that neither of the previous molds for my mouthguard were usable, so I had to come back for a FIFTH visit. During my fifth visit, Dr. Haight did the pour himself. A follow up appointment (sixth one!) was scheduled for me to obtain the finished nightguard. On my sixth visit I was finally given the nightguard, which was not what I expected. I opted to try it anyway, but it was fitted in a way that obstructed my breathing at night, so it was ultimately useless. I was disappointed (especially since the mouthguard appeared to be responsible for the bulk of my $300 charge. On my seventh visit for a refitting, I had enough. I already paid $300 for an NTI which took 10 minutes to make and a mouthguard I couldn't breathe in. I told the dentist I was finished and didn't want the mouthguard - I just wanted to settle my account and move on. The dentist and office manager assured me their bookkeeper would do the accounting on the 20th of July and I would get a refund soon after; I phoned the office on July 31st because I hadn't heard from anyone and spoke to the office manager (again). The office manager said my refund is expected to be only $30 and she would make sure to follow up. It is now August 6th; I have not heard anything and I am out $270 for an NTI that took 10 minutes to make and an extraneous, non-functional mouthguard that I was upsold on (in addition to ~20 hours of PTO). read more

I have been a patient here for years but am thinking about going somewhere else. The dentist I had is no longer here and neither is the girl who used to clean my teeth. The girl at the front is rude maybe she thinks dressing unprofessionally will let her rudeness slide with the male customers? I don't think letting your chest hang out will help with the female customers. The new dentist was nice super friendly but the older lady who cleaned my teeth hurt a lot more than the younger girl who has been cleaning them. Go Lobos! read more

The entire process from check-in to check-out was COVID compliant to the letter. Dental hygienist Amanda did a thorough exam, cleaning, and Xrays. She was friendly, respectful, and efficient. I just wanted to find a Doctor that actually cared about the results of his work. It's hard to find that today. I don't know why, but it is. Everybody has experienced it and it's frustrating. But, I can tell you that this man cares. He actually takes a personal interest in the work that is being done in his office. Dr. Haight is a great dentist does a wonderful job and who takes the time to explain what needs to be done in great detail and gives me more than one option. He and his staff are friendly, professional, and accommodating. He has treated me for several years and squeezed me in for an emergency! appointment when I came in from out of town. I agree with Jessica (previous reviewer) avoid this dental practice. Less than a year ago I contracted Dr Haight to do a lower denture. All went quite well for a time. The contract was lower denture and relines prepaid. The relines were difficult for his office, would go home with spurs that cut my gums so had drummel at home work done so alleviate the tearing. Went for one more reline before the year was up and he finally came in to set the goo and again more sharp spurs. I think the spurs are part of the process as I went through this with the top denture. As Dr. Haight stated it takes about 6 months to a year for the gums to settle. His office decided to start charging me unbeknownst to me and have now sent an exorbitant bill which I will not pay as all was prepaid in cash according to our agreement. I find I have had to file complaints with BBB and SAG office and will go on to others if I have to. Am sure short term issues or cleanings are not an issue with them but integrity with honoring a longer term contract I would be leary. read more
