As a PCP I found her rude, unprofessional, and dangerously haphazard with healthcare…read more I got a bad feeling when I came to my first appointment visibly injured--bruises, scabs, and cuts on my legs/arms/hands--and she didn't comment on it at all. It was due to a nasty fall, not serious, but I thought it odd that Dr Motlagh didn't seem to notice or show any curiosity/ concern. Not a dealbreaker, but she was one red flag after another after that. Also, as a new patient, she makes you sign a form waiving a right to legal action, forcing you through arbitration if she commits medical malpractice. She overbooks and under-serves her patients. When I asked about it, the nurse told me a wait of 30-60 minutes was STANDARD. Sure, that's happened sometimes in past clinics due to the dr giving each patient careful time and attention on their care...but she does not. My time with her felt like she was rushing me out the door. Other doctors will apologize for even a 15 minute wait--after a 45 minute long wait, Dr. Motlagh told me "If you don't like it, you can leave." I definitely felt like I was being milked for as much money as the practice could get, and not just overbooking more patients than she can handle. It's crazy that office policy is to book you to come to a follow-up appointment (with a copay charge, of course) just to go over lab results before you even get those labs done; every doctor I've ever had will email or call with the results; followup appointments are only for if something serious is found in the labs. Being kept waiting almost an hour for that ten-minute appointment is also very unprofessional. The office also made several mistakes with my healthcare, including not knowing why I was in the office, not consulting the info I provided about the medications I was taking when prescribing me something new, and rushing me to the point that I had to chase the doctor down in the hallway just to get her to answer a question about my health. I'm not surprised--she seems so rushed and behind that I don't have confidence she's taking the time to treat patients right. I've never had a doctor where I felt I had to advocate so hard just to get routine healthcare done right. While her bedside manner can be nice at first, she gets very mean-girl energy the minute you express an issue with anything she says or does. Her language and tone were shockingly dismissive. The rest of the staff is okay, though clearly overworked. I would literally rather drive to Santa Clarita or even LA to see a halfway decent doctor than go to Dr. Motlagh's ever again.

Dr. Motlagh is an outstanding doctor who truly cares about her patients. My father absolutely…read moretrusts her and always feels well cared for at every visit. To those claiming she's "only about the money"--that couldn't be further from the truth. The reality is that insurance companies often reimburse physicians far less than they deserve. Despite this, Dr. Motlagh goes above and beyond. I've never seen a primary care doctor spend as much time with patients as she does. Most doctors are in and out in 5-10 minutes--she takes the time to listen and treat each person with compassion and respect. Like all responsible physicians, Dr. Motlagh has to follow strict guidelines from the DEA and medical boards. In many cases, she's required to see patients in person before prescribing certain medications--that's not her choice, it's the law. There's a lot that happens behind the scenes in healthcare that patients may not be aware of. But those processes are in place to protect us and ensure we receive safe, quality care.

The most recent error was sending the wrong rx to the pharmacy, which cost me $100. Unacceptable the way they rush, assume & quick to give out the wrong info. Dr. DeSilva is wonderful, but once you leave the treatment room after talking with her, nothing gets done!! I've had to repeatedly ask for lab orders & rx's to be sent out. In addition, they failed to update orders in the system. How embarrassing that the Dr has to call the pharmacy to see what the last dosage was because her staff failed to update the chart. Complaints to management & Dr DeSilva were a total waste of time, nothing has improved, it just gets worse!! Moving on to where patient care matters & I'm taking my husband with me!

Mother had an Interlaminar Epidural Steroid injection and was sent home…read more What makes this negligent is, Shes 73 and she kept asking Dr Singh if she needed someone to take her and bring her home. Response provided was No. She was also not provided with aftercare paperwork as to what to expect. She was not to rest for the next 24-48 hours. She was not told to ice the injection if needed. When she went back the next day for the aftercare paperwork on Friday, she was told, it will be ready Tuesday. She's never had this type of injection before and thought she only receiving a quick pain relief shot. I took her back and Tuesday and was furious to say the least. Front office stated, paperwork not ready. I as her daughter asked if the Dr was available to speak with. They sent a young lady out. I know it wasn't her fault but my anger got the best of me, and no I did not curse at her. I did however raise my voice. A Dr came in to speak with me because everyone in his lobby could hear me yelling, they are negligent. How could they allow an elderly person to drive themselves home following a procedure like that. The Dr then asked me for my Medical or scientific evidence stating or proving a person is not to drive themselves home or anywhere else afterward. I brought up the fact of no information about an ice pack on the injection area if feeling discomfort. Dr then asked me for my medical evidence again. He stated he went to school for many years to build his practice with his colleagues and he felt disrespected by me. Seriously Sir! I feel you have no respect or care for your patients by conducting these procedures and allowing patients to drive right after. I said thank God Shes ok. He mocked me and said Yes, thank God. We did our job and Shes ok. If anyone of have family who go there for procedure, have them stop. Just my opinion. If you are familiar with these procedures, You are not and Drs will not provide service unless you have someone to drive there and back home. Loss of sensation or numbness can occur anywhere from 24-48 hours. This office and there Drs are something else and I'm also reporting them the Medical board. No stars for them. They are horrible.
