While the Tempranillo is the star of the lineup, I'm very fond of the Barbera.

We had some great conversations while I was enjoying my order. I got an Irish coffee and a slice of banana cream pie. Don't judge... the combo was awesome! The coffee had just the right flavor balance and made for a great nightcap. The slice of pie was bigger than I was expecting and it was delicious! Smooth and creamy! The bananas were an ideal ripeness. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back to Woodinville! Great service, great drinks, great pie!!!

I enjoyed the Chicken Pot Pie and GF Chocolate Decadence, both were amazing. The crust was flakey and filling was generous. The dessert lived up to its name. On my 2nd visit, I put in a to go order for the Steak & Ale Pot Pie and the Coconut Cream Pie. Oh my ... I am a fan of coconut cream pie, especially the Tom Douglas variety. Chef Brad's version definitely gets high marks for it's flakey crust, creamy coconut filling topped with Chantilly cream. The Steak & Ale Pot Pie warmed up in the air fryer came out well. It's a tasty pie with generous amount of tender beef with peas and carrots. I'm convinced that any pie I get here is going to be delicious and satisfying.

I wanted a bottle of all 6 that I tried here. You can taste the fruit in the dry wines instead of the tannins smothering them- even when the tannins were chewy. The wine has complexity enough for people like me that like to play at guessing all the flavors. Service checked on me multiple times and had a good vibe and made good suggestions based upon my preferences. The ambiance needs work because I prefer well-padded seating at wine bars and to enjoy the mountain view in Snoqualmie I had to sit by the packed up wine club boxes. I had a flight with the Blanc de Blanc, SMG and Charlee. All three were excellent examples of flavorful, but dry. None of them tasted like dirt! I was so pleased that I got a second flight of the Rose Brut, Chardonnay (dry caramel was my first note) and Vintner's Blend. All were lovely and flavorful, but not exactly textbook. Wine descriptions on the menu were accurate instead of inflating. I may make walking here, have a glass, and walk home my new exercise reward system.

They share the space with JBell Cellars and offer a variety of wine flights between the two businesses, but you also have the option to get a glass of wine or beer. They have two different Happy Hours, one for Wednesday and one for Thursday. They also host a variety of vendors, but most notably BB Nest Bakery (yum!). The shop is neat, clean, and fun! During the summer, they have outdoor seating and sometimes they have corn hole outside! Parking can be a little tricky, but there is a lot of it if you don't mind street parking and walking.

It's a couple miles and a few traffic circles away, but it feels like another world compared to all the expensive SUVs cutting you off and hooking your parking "in town." This is up a little behind the distillery, on roads that feel like they're heading out of town. There are a few bars nestled in along this stretch, each with a different personality, and each packed. These bars might be where the locals hang out. Suite C's is right next to a Mexican market that appears to be packed with the good stuff. Suite C's is kinda small; there are a couple low tables, a couple high ones, and 3 stools at the bar. They're the western-Washington pour room for J Bell Wines. I tried the flight of these and liked the grenache blanc enough to buy a bottle. Their reds were forgettable. Suite C's also sells tons and tons of other Washington, European, and other wines. We tried flights of reds, bubbles, and roses while we were here. The Spanish and Washington reds were all tempranillos and all just great. The roses were from France, Spain, and WA, also all great. The sparkling wines were from all over Europe and had a nice range from drier to sweeter. The bartender showed us how different sparkling wine tastes in a flute compared to a wine glass, which was eye-opening and very fun. They know their stuff backwards and forwards here, and the more interested you are in learning about the wines, the happier they are to tell you about them. It's a little place, with just one closet-sized washroom in back. But their prices are good and the chance to try all different kinds of wines from all over is a welcome change from winery tasting rooms. I could easily see hitting this place many times in the future.

Our group of six (me, my wife, her mom, our daughter, her husband, and their dog) came here for a light lunch on a Friday (everyone was off for the 4th of July weekend), taking advantage of their dog-friendly outdoor dining area. We all had a great time. My wife's college roommate's relatives are the family owners (Daniel and Helen Ferrelli, and their daughter/son-in-law Angela and Kevin Taylor), and she recommended that we stop by when in the area. It was fairly busy, but found a nice area to sit down for our group. Bev was our server, with Helen (co-founder, co-owner) stopping by to say 'Hello'. Both were friendly and gracious and made us feel at home. My wife and I got the 6-wine tasting ($25, complementary with every 2 bottle purchase): -- Angie '22 Blanc de Blancs, named after the co-owner; Adrienne '24 Chenin Blanc, named for their grand-daughter. We really liked both whites, and ended up getting a bottle of each ($55 for Angie, $35 for Adrienne). -- Paulie '22 GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvedre), named for their grandson. Very, very light. -- Upright '21 estate merlot. We liked this one a lot, named as a counter-balance to the movie that made merlot a four-letter word. -- Nana '21 merlot, named after Daniel's grandmother -- Big Papa '23 Cabernet Sauvignon, named after the owner himself. We ordered some light food to share as well. The Buffalo Chicken Dip ($20) was solid, coming with baby root vegetables. The Meatza Pizza ($20) was very good, like a tavern style thin crust pizza with a nice charred crust and lots of meat and cheese. It was a gorgeous day in the Pacific Northwest, which just made everything better. They also have a tasting room in downtown Seattle, but I was glad to come to their original location. It was the first winery visited in this area, and a good introduction to see others as we continue to visit.

They have a patio area with covering and indoor seating. For our visit, we opted to sit indoors and take a break from the heat. Staff were very friendly and confirmed our reservations and seating. This tasting room does have a kitchen, pizza oven, and offers various bites to pair with their wines. They also have a frosé machine featuring their Oldfield Estate Rosé with fresh strawberry purée and a Pinot Grigio with an Aperol float. Their wine tasting line-up features 2 whites and 4 reds. We ordered a bottle of their Big Papa Cabernet Sauvignon, Rosé Frosé, Pinot Grigio Frosé with Aperol, and a pepperoni pizza to share. The pizza was delicious. Cripsy thin crust and freshly made. The Cabernet Sauvignon was robust, earthy, and notes of fruits and spice. This wine paired well with the pizza. The frosé was refreshing and the aperol float made for a wonderful summer drink. Service was top notch. Water refills were frequent along with check-ins on our experience. Efeste also has a Sodo tasting room and both locations are offering a special called Wine and Dine Duo. The special price is $30 and wine pours are the Adrienne, Babbit, Paulie, Ceidleigh. We'll definitely return for a proper round of tasting and maybe explore a membership.
