It was time for a routine visit because I hadn't been to the dentist for over a year. I called and they got me in for the next day, paperwork was sent immediately and they followed up to make sure my insurance info was correct so I would be covered (I was recently married and hadn't changed my name on the insurance yet). Lupe was fantastic and extremely thorough with my visit. She told me exactly what she was doing before she did it, made sure I was comfortable and was overall so kind and informative. She told me about some services they provide (Invisalign, cancer screenings, etc) but did not put any pressure on me whatsoever. Dr. Little came in and made sure all of my concerns were addressed. Because my teeth were not bleeding and the expense was prohibitive I told her I just wanted my teeth cleaned as usual. She said she would not do that she did not want me as a patient and that her dad no longer worked in the office anymore. I asked what exactly they had done for me to justify that amount, especially since this seemed like their negligence. She replied that it was for the scan. I asked for a copy of the scanned documents, but they could not provide them. I sat there feeling very frustrated. I explained to the woman that I only had $50 on me at the time, and I paid that amount even though I honestly felt robbed.
