I love the decor in this hair studio too. It is in the heart of Old Town Clovis, and it honestly gives the feel like you are parking in a neighborhood and being graciously welcomed into someone's lovely home! I trust Chelsey 100% to care for my hair and continually help it to evolve. Starting originally with very dark naturally & box dyed hair, & mismatched lengths from older hairstyles, I told Chelsey my vision of what I'd love- soo happy to share that after seeing her for awhile, I now have flowy, light brown/blond hair with much brighter money piece strands framing my face! On different appointments, I enjoy services from her including root touch-ups, toner, deep conditioning, blonding, haircuts, and styles. Seriously, I feel so amazing after I leave her chair each time! As far as Illuniminate as a whole....getting back to the decor- simple, clean, chic, and so comfortable! I went to Hair N Motion for the first time today, at the spur of the moment. I needed a hair cut…read moreand wanted highlights, so I called and luckily they were able to fit me in 30 minutes later. I saw Jill, and I only have two (minor) complaints: 1) She wasn't super gentle on my hair and I heard it breaking as she was combing it. 2) Depending on how I style my hair, the highlights can be VERY noticeable -- there is a definite line between my natural dark blonde color and the new light blonde color. That being said, though, I'm sure the color will start to blend in better after a couple days, and I just have to be a little more careful about how I style it. I really would like to give Hair N Motion 4.5 stars, but unfortunately that's not an option. The stylists were all friendly and funny, and it was a nice experience talking to them and listening to them. They seem like a big family. They have drinks and snacks available for clients while they are waiting. The salon is small, but well organized and clean. The nail girl seems really popular -- she had a stream of clients back to back during the two hours that I was there. Overall, I recommend Hair N Motion if you're looking for a new place to get your hair styled. It is staffed by friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient stylists, and they didn't try to push products on me like at most salons. Two thumbs up!
