This review is for Jenaveve Kirkland. She has been my stylist for about 7-8 years and I have followed her through a couple different salons as she moved. She has always done an amazing job of my hair. She is thorough and honest when it comes to what will or won't work for your hair. She always custom mixes my red for me so it's nice and bright. Last year I had her bleach my hair. I had always wanted to do it but was afraid to attempt it myself. But I knew with her that it wouldn't be an issue. I have had super long and super short hair that she has worked on and she's always done an awesome job. A couple years ago she helped me cut my super long hair short, and I had enough to donate to Locks of Love. Her individual room is welcoming and cozy, yet sleek and modern. She always asks what you would like to watch and puts it on TV just for you. The salon overall is very inviting and friendly, but if you choose her as your stylist you won't go wrong. read more

I read multiple reviews for Twelve Stones and Manal and was eager to schedule an appointment. I was invited for a consultation and given a quote for highlights and a cut for my short hair of $160, which appeared to me very pricey, much more than I would spend in New York when I lived there. Yet having read so many positive reviews, I decided to give it a shot. I requested white highlights, and Manal seemed to have removed the foil too soon which resulted in yellow roots. She followed up with toner, something that my previous hairdresser would not do. The toner created bluish-gray color on my previously bleached hair. Manal did her best to remove it, and after 3 hours of salon time, I ended up having faint highlights, but without bluish tint (was very happy about that!). My scalp continues to be super itchy and irritated, and I just hope my hair does not break off. Manal mentioned that I did not have to pay if I did not like the color, but I felt bad and paid anyway. The hair cut met my expectations. It's a shame that I have to write a somewhat negative review, but I did not get what I wanted, and I feel like I wasted my time and money ending up with something I could tolerate, but not love. It was a nerve wracking experience that I would not wish on anyone. read more

This hair salon, I'm actually going to rant and rave about Manal. I came in for a pretty big haircut. About 7" cut off all together I have extremely thick hair that I was over trying to maintain. Manal did an excellent job, I was very worried about finding the right person to A. Handle such a big cut and B. Shape and handle so much thick hair. Manal did both! She cut my hair added layers and texture perfectly! She dried it straight and also curled it so I could see how it looked both ways just in case to see the difference in both styles right in her chair!
