I had a really disappointing experience at this nail salon. I made an appointment and arrived right on time, but still had to wait about 10 minutes while the salon was clearly overbooked and packed. Before I even had a chance to sit down, I was asked to show my nail design. I showed a photo of a colorful, detailed set I wanted for my birthday--each nail with a different sardine design. Instead of discussing it or offering options, the nail tech immediately shook her head and said "no, too busy," implying it would take too long. I was willing to wait and pay for the service (and tip), but after sitting there another 20 minutes, the owner herself looked at my design and said it would take too long. She even exaggerated that if she did my nails, they'd be there until 9pm--despite the salon closing at 7 and my appointment being at 5. The owner also asked if I had a simpler backup design I'd be willing to do. I didn't--I came in for a specific birthday set. At that point, I decided to leave. What was supposed to be a fun girls day turned into a frustrating experience, and my sister also chose not to get her service because of how things were handled. I understand being busy, but the way this was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional. If certain designs can't be accommodated, that should be communicated clearly when booking--not after the customer arrives and waits. read more

They would have to charge me for a complete fill. After giving them the pedicure buisness they told me it would be an additional $50. I wish they told me before I sat down. Wth? I was in chair number four for pedicures wondering.. why are there so many gnats?? I got my complimentary drink which was a mimosa and after a couple sips a fuckin gnat flew in it. The lady was kind enough to replace it for me and even gave me a napkin to put on top of it so it doesn't happen again. Lmao. I still think this place does a good job although I did not like my nail color today. I had a pic and asked for olive but the closest they had was a color that looked kinda sage so she was gonna do a double coat. The double coat didn't help. I think it's definitely way better to schedule an appointment if you are planning to get a pedicure and manicure done . There chairs are really nice and luxurious , the facility is also super clean and cute inside . The receptionist is very friendly and offered everyone drinks (soda , water , beer , wine , champagne ) I got a French nail pedicure and it turned out great !!! No free feet pics for you but they are so pretty , I was a white toe girly before so it was fun to switch it up . It was $62 before tip. Tips are cash only!!!! I decided to try this salon after seeing it on Instagram. The vibe looked beautiful and reviews seemed great. So I drove a 1/2 hour into town and booked a pedicure and acrylic set because I was looking forward to a relaxing self-care day. Unfortunately, they chose to perform both services at the same time even though the shop wasn't busy, which took away from the relaxing experience. The staff were kind and welcoming, and I do appreciate that. However, for $75 for an acrylic set, the quality didn't meet expectations (uneven cuticles, bulky shaping, and polish inconsistencies). My pedicure was fine and had I of gone just for that I think I would've had a better experience. I did still tip because everyone was nice, but overall the result and experience didn't match the price point. I won't be returning. read more

This nail shop is nice and clean to the naked eye. Their services are an about the average price for locations north of Herndon. Anything extra is extra costs remember that. I got the Ruby Pedicure with Gel & French Tip that totaled to $66. The French tip is +$7. I liked that the chair had the footrest turn into a calf rest when they scrub the bottoms of your feet. I didn't like that Chair #1's massage feature did not work. They offer complimentary drinks maybe to add to your experience. I usually don't pay no mind attention to detail on my feet as long it looks and feels clean that's what matters most. AND as long the paint job isn't messy. I came into Glossy Nails for a pedicure, and the pedicure itself was completely fine. It was relaxing and my toes came out looking nice. While I was sitting there getting my pedicure, I decided to book a full leg wax as well. Unfortunately, I would not recommend the waxing services. The setup was not a proper waxing station and the rolling cart used looked messy. During the service, the technician used the same wax stick for my entire legs session. You are not supposed to double dip the stick at all. She also used the same stick from my service to pour old wax into a new wax container, which did not feel sanitary. She did not wear gloves, and some areas of my legs still had wax (and lots of hair) left on them afterward. This was even with me showing her spots that still had hair and wax. The entire waxing service felt very chaotic and stressful, and based on her technique, it seemed like she might not have had proper esthetician training. I cannot say for sure, but it did not feel like she knew what she was doing. I am sharing this not to be unkind but to help others make an informed decision. The staff were polite, but in my opinion, the waxing practices did not feel sanitary or up to professional standards. I would return for nails, but I personally would not get waxing done here again. read more

walked in on a tuesday afternoon for a mani pedi. despite not having an appointment, i only waited a couple minutes. there was two staff members, one doing the mani and the other doing the pedi. one of them did ask if i would something to drink. other than that, there wasn't much interaction or small talk. it took about 45 minutes, no more than an hour. the customer service was fine or average. the quality of their work was good. no complaints on how my nails came out. read more

Mostly all the workers do such an amazing job. They are super nice and always on top of things. But the only downfall is that I always have to wait 30 minutes or sometimes an hour to be attended and that's with an appointment. I don't understand why even make an appointment. This is the only place that I like getting my nails done. But if this continues I'll have to look for a new nail shop. :( read more

I came in asking very specifically if they could do an ombré on natural nails (no gel, no shellac). I made this clear before sitting down. Instead of being upfront, the staff told me to "sit down, sit down" and then only once I was in the chair did they say it could only be done with gel. When I explained that I've had it done on my natural nails before (in San Jose), the technician said it's never been done before... unbelievable that she is challenging the services that I received... she dismissed me and insisted it wasn't possible, even telling me to "go to San Jose" if I wanted that service. The tone was rude and dismissive definitely not the kind of customer service you expect when you're spending money and time. Also the massage chairs do not work. They put me in 3 before I got to one that barely worked. That was another sign that I needed to get out! It's frustrating when a business isn't transparent about what they can and can't do, especially after a customer has asked clearly. I left feeling disrespected and unvalued. read more

I walked in here for my wedding nails, bringing a inspo board for a nude ombre design. The nail tech understood exactly what I wanted and did a beautiful job; everyone complimented my nails! My only critique was that she could have cleaned my fingers post ombre spray better. A month after my wedding, I returned for a mani-pedi during another visit to Fresno. This time, a male tech did my pedicure and did an excellent job--my cuticles were perfectly cleaned up, and the polish looked great. However, Mia, who did my manicure, missed a few spots on the corners of my nails, and my cuticles were not trimmed. It really hurts me to write this review, but I feel like I've kept quite about it for longer than I should. About two months ago I came In before my due date to feel nice during postpartum. I got my pedicure and a full set. The person who did my apres was great no issue there, however, the person who did my toes was a different, older lady. I did get acrylic on two of my toes and the rest were gel. One of the acrylic toes popped off after a couple days I didn't go back because I had already given birth. A few days into the pedicure I kept telling myself and my husband that my toes look black under the acrylic and gel. He said I was seeing things but after the gel started peeling I realized my pinky toes and the one next to it were darker than the others. I didn't have this issue prior to the pedicure cause I know for a fact I would've been embarrassed to show up with my nails looking like how they do now. I recommend this place for manicures, but I would stay away from the pedicures. I'm unsure if it's due to the filing of the nails that caused trauma or the lack of disinfecting of tools and going to see a podiatrist is probably my next step unfortunately. read more

The first time, I brought my mom in for her birthday to treat her to something special, and instead of a relaxing experience, the owner ended up arguing with her and completely ruined the day. Even though they offered the service for free, it didn't make up for how we were treated. It was never about the money--it was about the disrespect. The only reason I decided to come back was because of the owner's daughter. Her customer service is incredible--she's professional, kind, and truly makes an effort to take care of her clients. She and her mom are like night and day. I felt comfortable knowing she was around and hoped she'd be the one helping me again. Unfortunately, today I didn't realize the owner was in until I had already sat down for a pedicure. I didn't want to be rude and ask for someone else right in front of her, so I stayed quiet. As soon as I politely asked her to file my nails straight, she got irritated, started raising her voice, and even began speaking another language while clearly talking about me. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and unnecessary. She ended up throwing the nail file down, and I calmly asked if someone else could take over. At this point, it's clear that the owner is doing more harm than good. I've heard from so many people in town who've had similar experiences and now avoid the salon altogether. It's truly unfortunate because this place could be great if she would just step back. It's time to retire, enjoy life, and let her daughter take over and grow the business the right way. To the daughter--thank you for always handling things with grace and professionalism. You're the reason people are still willing to give this place a chance. I proceeded to tell her my occupation, and she basically ignored me. I ended up having to go home and buy a 180 grit and nail clipper to cut them down for work. My wife has been a customer over there, and there was a mixup over the manicurist versus schedule. So my wife was working that out with the manicurist when the owner, name Trae:Trang got involved in the conversation and was extremely rude,hostile and combative. She raised her voice very loud,exercising authority on a customer. Very unprofessional , and classless. My wife kindly asked her to lower her voice because she was making a scene, she instead accuse my wife of being loud and rude to her. We see a lot more businesses that are exercising the right to reserve or refuse service. However, we don't see accountability anymore. She is very ignorant at its finest , such a bad look overall . I've been here several times and always had a wonderful experience. This time, The lady who did my pedicure was super rough, pushing my feet around, not even looking at what she was doing, was looking out the window the whole time. She cut me several times and I finally told her to stop touching my cuticles. They were bleeding!!! She messed up my polish had white all over my toes and kept trying to take it off with cuticle clippers!!! You can see in the last picture how red my big toe is. I spoke up and they offered to have someone else redo my polish and gave me $10 back without my asking because they knew she messed up. I noticed Glossy Nails on my frequent drives to RiverPark and wanted to try them out. I got the sapphire pedicure and it was well worth the money. Since it's a new salon the equipment is new as well- and the space feels clean. The atmosphere is very upbeat with modern music playing. The front desk girl was sweet and charming. I've been wanting to find a nail salon that offers complementary champagne because it really adds to the relaxing experience of a pedicure. I was surprised when they offered and I quickly said "yes!" They also offer water or soda if alcohol isn't your thing. The sapphire option had a jelly treatment that was unique and felt great on my feet, the lady doing my toes was hard in English but very friendly. My friend invited me to join her for a pedicure. I had never been here. It's on the corner of Herndon/Blackstone which is such a convenient place for us to meet in the middle of where we both live. My friend had called to make us appointments when they opened and they were able to get us in at 3pm, later that day. We did not have to wait at all and got seated as soon as I walked in. Also, they do take walk-ins, so feel free to just drop by. They offered us a drink as soon as we were seated. I loved that sweet and personal touch. Everyone was so nice.
