They have a nail tech named Christina, she spoke in Vietnamese how she hates black people while doing a black woman's nail. Mani with french tips was done poorly and they use bad quality materials. The service here is also very poor and rude. I would not recommend at all! Just go with a home based nail tech who do it for much better quality and lower prices and not these fraudulent nail salons. read more

This place feels nice to visit. I've been about 3 or 4 times. But Twice they have cut trimmed the cuticles too short or maybe too roughly where I have bled. I've been to other nail salons where this never happens. Not sure why they are so intense about cuticles. Tips are cash only. read more

I have been coming to this salon for years for pedicures and have always been satisfied, but unfortunately my recent manicure experience was very disappointing. I booked an appointment for builder gel and was told it would be $50, with an optional manicure for an additional $10. I agreed to both, but when I checked out, the total was $65--even though their computer showed $50 and their price list stated $50 they told me the type of builder gel used was actually $55. The inconsistency was confusing and frustrating. The service itself was very disappointing. I asked for my nails to be filed slightly more narrow, but instead, the technician clipped the corners of the free edge so deep that my nails are now raw and sore. The shape is uneven and not uniform. I also chose a polish with an iridescent shimmer, but the brush was swirled so much that the finish looks blotchy, with visible streaks and swirls. On top of that, my nails were left so short and pointy that they bend easily, and I'm worried they'll tear off with any use. I left feeling very unhappy with both the quality of the manicure and the pricing. At this point, my nails are too sore to even consider going back for removal, which is extremely disappointing after spending so much. read more

Went in to get a dip for nails. She left me soaking in acetone for 30 minutes saying she couldn't get the old dip and tips off. Then put something on the nails that burned my skin. I expressed my concern and she kept saying she couldn't do it. Employees all around did not seem to be able to assist. Not sure why I was given a technician who did not know how to properly or efficiently remove an old dip. Was then asked to wait for a different tech because no other person in the salon was able to help yet employees were sitting around relaxing in the pedicure chairs. Left sitting with old nails half on and half off and fingers that were dry from sitting in a bowl of acetone. read more

Went to get a pedicure the tech was insisting on me doing some kind of powder nail service when I said no he rushed thru the service. My nails looked like a 12 year old polished my nails. I really miss the old nail salons when people felt really pampered for a nail service and not rushed. In regard to the interior (decor wise / furniture wise), it is extremely outdated in here. This was my first nail salon where the chairs didn't have the option to move forward / backwards or have a massage feature. But, nevertheless, I didn't come for the furniture I came for a pedicure and wow I was pleased from start to finish. Really nice salon! Pretty flower decor. My running feet were in desperate need of a pedi. Told the worker I wanted one and she said gel or regular polish. I said regular and she showed me an assortment to pick from. Ended up choosing a starkly gold for Fall. From there I was greeted by a nice worker that showed me where to Sat down with feet in warm water. Clean, safe and practiced.Some workers do have masks on. Chairs are comfortable. Message chairs. Nice, calm and relaxing environment. The worker cleaned up and cut my toenails Then used a scrub and scrubbed. Felt good! Massaged after that and felt even better! Then warm towels wrapped around and hot rocks put in between each toe. Different, but good! Then clear polish followed by the sparkly gold! Love! TERRIBLE!! Decided to book an appointment because the website said that an acrylic set was $43, however when I went to pay the total was $65, even though I did not do any extras. There was a large gap between the nail and my cuticle. So the grow out did not look cute. No nail prep was done whatsoever, which is evident by the photo. The acrylic nail started to come off after 3 weeks. My nails have been left severely damaged and broken. They will likely take a while to grow back to their normal condition. Overpriced and bad quality. DO NOT RECOMMEND!! read more

First I've never written a bad review of any establishment ever but, Aqua Nail Bar deserves the worst review. I called and made an appointment for my husband and I to get pedicures. Neither nail tech asked us what we wanted and just began our pedicures. Needless to say we did not get what went there for. Instead, We got frigid cold towels, no callus removal, and it was so awful I left without allowing them to finish painting my toes. I paid for our pedicures and asked for a manager. Of course no one was available. We left and immediately went to Deluxe Nails and Spa in the Villagio Shopping Center for proper pedicures. Yes, we paid twice at two different places because the service was so bad. If you are thinking of going Aqua Nails, please do not. It was awful. I wish I had taken photos after the 1st pedicure - it really was bad. I did finally receive a call from the owner early that evening which, she only proceeded to make excuses for the experience. There are great places in Fresno, Aqua Nail Bar is not one of them. read more

Kimberly is my favorite nail technician. She has solved several of my nail issues over the years. The salon is very clean and they use sealed sanitary packages of tools with every customer. This place has to be the worst in sanitation and customer service. Not only do they reuse filing boards and don't clean the nail bits used for acrylic, but they cut back on proper clean sanitation before adding polish or acrylic.... On top of that if you have an issue with a broken nail after service, within that same week and go to get it fixed, they will charge you, they bend their policies to get out of not charging you when you have already clearly paid and tipped for the service. And be careful you even say anything because they will start speaking in their language and completely ignore you.... The quality, customer service , sanitation and expectations of a good and paid for manicure with nail dip, polish or acrylic is horrible at this place! Take your money and get business else where! This place is a complete rip off and the quality is horrible! You'll end up paying double, and possible getting a nail fungus ! read more

I went in for dip manicure. I am always apprehensive to try new place as I am quite finicky, and usually end up going home and filing and polishing them again myself to get what in want. I had switched salons as I switched from full acrylics to wanting dip on my natural nails, and while they did a great job on acrylics, natural looking nails were not this other salon's forte. I made an apt for dip mani at Aqua and Brandon was who did them. He continually asked me what I wanted and if they looked like what I wanted. He did a great job! I've been to this location at least 5-6 times in the past with no issues, but today left me questioning if I should keep going there. I asked for a dip mani and a gel pedicure, but I still had on acrylics from my wedding a could weeks ago. I told them I needed them off and employee took a second look at them and ask how long I've had them on. (Which was 2 1/2 weeks) I told her this and said I needed them taken off for work. Both women start working on me and the manicure lady had not soaked my acrylics in acetone beforehand. Instead, she was popping them off by going in between the acrylic and nail with a fake nail. It hurt the previous nails, but I just thought it would be fine, until my pinky fingernail was almost ripped off by her. I couldn't help but yelp because it hurt so bad and I started bleeding underneath the acrylic nail. She tried to laugh it off and I had to tell her not to touch that nail anymore, and I didn't want dip polish, just take my acrylic off at this point using a drill and acetone soak for the remaining nails. In the end, she didn't remove all the acrylic, and seemed like she wanted to rush it instead of taking the time to soak them which caused me to get cut and bleed. Still charged me $78 for a gel pedicure and my acrylics taken off I was too tired from work to even complain to the front desk. disappointing to say the least read more

Been here quite a few times to get my nails done and they've always done a really great job! It's fast and my nails always look nice!

It was a horrible experience. I told the guy that did my pedi that I liked my water hotter then normal and he used all hot water and told me not to say it was too hot cause I asked for it hot. Then when he was cleaning my nails he dug deep felt like my mail was coming off the bed my 2 big toes were sore for days.
