I have been to many dentist in the past and Dr Katz is one of the best. He is very considerate and want to do the best job possible for his patients. His staff is also wonderful. I recently had a dental problem and he was able to schedule me on short notice by rearranging his schedule. I called this office twice then I emailed Dr. Katz twice asking them to get back to me with my questions and possibly to schedule an appointment. Unfortunately, despite all the good reviews, they do have a BIG problem getting to NEW patients. They phone goes to a VM and they never email you back. I have been going to this office for over 10 years, since it was Dr. Bares. When he brought in Dr. Katz I was, of course, apprehensive, but I trusted Dr. Bares to find a suitable replacement. Dr. Katz is more than suitable - he is outstanding, both in his ability and his compassion. I very much appreciate his approach to dentistry and to the care of his patients; he is always concerned about my comfort and more than understanding and patient with me. The entire staff is terrific; the fact that most of them have stayed over after Dr. Bares left is another testament to Dr. Katz. It's hard to go through a transition like that, but the office staff is a genuinely happy group, even first thing in the morning. As for another review about Dr. Katz being good-looking, I have to admit I had never really thought about it. He's certainly better-looking than I am, but, to be honest, so was Dr. Bares. I feel much worse about him having to look at me than my having to look at him, and I suppose that's a good thing. Dr. Katz is a phenomenal dentist. I don't have problems with my teeth or mouth in general, but he is kind, very concerned about my comfort, attentive, always calling the next day to ask how you are when you get fillings, and good looking. I had a dentist once that had weird flappy lips and too much nose hair, and so I consider good looking to be important for someone that is going to be 6 inches from my face. But really, the best thing about this office is the support staff. The dental hygienist is amazing, and the office is run like a TOP! My insurance paid more than they expected, and they sent me a check immediately. I hadn't even gotten the statement from the insurance yet. As a bonus, everyone gets along and are really funny. Highly recommended - a visit to dentist has never been this refreshing and hassle free. I was initially recommended by my co-worker and that was when I first moved to the area - so I duly took her advice and went here...with a grain of salt of course. Wow, what a phenomenal team: very skilled, attentive, professional, and kind! Really meticulous (reminder calls, gum line measurements, etc.), with followup calls from Dr. Katz after major work. They keep me updated and explain everything going on with my dental health. The staff are all very friendly and available. Best of all, very honest! I've had some dentists who were quick to suggest fillings, but Dr. Katz carefully monitors progress of a potential cavity or replacement filling, and reviews my xrays with me for an open discussion. I highly recommend Dr. Katz. My experience as his patient for 4 years is exactly as the rest of the reviews describe it. His staff is incredibly kind and I like the low-key, friendly atmosphere in the office. I'm always surprised by how much they remember about me each time I go back. Dr. Katz is thorough, patient, and genuinely cares about his patient's oral care and comfort. Last Christmas I chipped my tooth and left a voicemail with his office to set up an appointment to repair it-- failing to mention it was a minor issue. Michael Katz office is a great dentist team but unfortunately the front desk the older lady that is there is very moody, sour and rude very judgmental and prejudices she don't hesitate to speak bad about you so you will hear it to the other clerk. No professionalism at all . But they seem to change her assistant all the time so if she is not there it's a quite nice place to walk into but if she is there it's like walking into a dark cloud. read more

Dr Katz and team are truly impeccable. I cannot express how happy I am with the quality of the dentistry and the friendliness of the team. I recently switched to Dr. Katz when my former dentist (whom I had been going to for 14 years) retired. Dr. Katz found and expertly filled a cavity which the previous dentist had overlooked, and sent me to a periodontist to see if they could treat the gum recession on my rear molars. While my previous dentist assumed that nothing could be done for the recession, the periodontist has in fact recommended gum grafts to inhibit further damage. As others have said, the entire staff are friendly and accommodating. When I felt a small rough spot on the filling, Dr. Katz graciously (and without charge) did an immediate followup to polish it. I feel like I'm getting top-notch treatment. Wish I had switched to Dr. Katz years ago! read more

From the moment I walked in and met with he front office gals, I felt welcomed! The hygienist is awesome! Funny....and really seems to care. As for Dr. Katz, he is a very professional and kind individual. He explains EVERYTHING he going to do prior to doing it. He is gentle and always makes sure I am comfortable. I had pretty extensive work done and my blood pressure was normal.....GO FIGURE! My previous dentist would have to check my blood pressure before starting any work! Dr. Katz even calls patients after work is done to make sure everything's ok. Also appreciate that during holidays they have on-call dentists for emergencies, which I needed on Christmas Day of 2015 when I cracked 2 teeth on Christmas Eve. I have been coming to this office ever since my adult teeth finished pushing my baby teeth out. Back then my dentist was Dr. Bares and today Dr. Katz carries the practice along with lots of grace. I don't think I can think of a single negative thing to say about Dr. Katz and this entire Dental office. I have never had a bad day at the dentist thanks to them. Now my teeth are a different story. I floss every single day and I carefully brush twice a day but I still seem to have a cavity every now and then. But somehow Dr. Katz and Joanna make filling that cavity an enjoyable experience. I started going to this office as a referral from a co-worker when it was just Dr. Bares. My teeth were well taken care of then, and now with Dr. Katz, the experience has been just as phenomenal. The office staff has been there for years, and treat me like family - we all have a great time together. My whole family goes there. Everyone is very competent, caring, and professional. Dr. Katz is exceptionally gentle and sensitive, patient to a fault. I never feel like services are being pushed on me, and he doesn't do anything that's not necessary. I am not sure why you would go to another dentist. Dr. Katz and his staff are the best. First thing is they are always prompt and on time with your appointment. I never have to wait more than a few minutes. I have seen Dr. Katz for a few things including cleanings and fillings. The dental hygienist always does a good job and even measures my gum line to see if there is an area I need to pay special attention to. Who does that? Dr. Katz seems to really care about the health of your teeth and depending on the procedure follows up with a phone call or a handwritten note. Who does that? When Dr. Katz worked on my filling, he even provided headphones so I could listen to music during the procedure and not hear the instruments. WHO DOES THAT? I have recommended him to my husband and my brother, so I can truly say Dr. Katz is our family dentist. read more

Dr Katz was recommended to us by my husband's family doctor. What a find! Dr. Katz is skilled, gentle and actually cares about his patients. Also, i think it speaks volumes about his office that his support staff is, across the board, kind and easygoing, very helpful. Love the hygienists, and i don't always get the same one. One of the best things about Dr. Katz is that he is so skilled and such a capable dentist. We've moved quite a few times, so i've had several dentists to compare with. Also, he allows time for the novacaine (or whatever the numbing agent is) to work. Thus any procedure i've had is pain free. I am 63 years old and this is absolutely the BEST dentist and staff I have had the pleasure of doing business with. The dentist is a "scary" word but since my first visit i felt at ease and was treated very very well..Dr. Katz is so compassionate and gentle...and his techs and staff are just so darn nice. I actually do not mind going to the dentist anymore. it is a clean,cozy and welcoming atmosphere. and just recently after a 400 mile drive up from LA on Fathers Day he and Joanne met me at their office to fix my broken crown!!!!! it does not get any better than that...FYI i had another dentist previously who was very well known and did not like how i was treated after going there for a whole year...i was just a number...Dr. Katz and his staff treat you like family..... read more

Dr. Katz and his staff are the most professional, kind and conscientious of any dental group I have been to in my many years on this planet! Dr. Katz is very patient and considerate, and always concerned over the slightest difficulty for his patients. I have never seen him angry or frustrated, and his staff is exemplary as well. Tudy the receptionist, is always cheerful and thoughtful, never forgetting to give helpful reminders for my appointments. My teeth are cleaned by one of the hygentists, Ellen, who is the MOST positive, cheerful, and considerate clinician to her patients She is a stunning lady, beautiful inside and out. She is very careful while cleaning your teeth, and remembers every intricacy that you have regarding any "querks" about your teeth, sensitivities and so on.
