But his credentials look good so I still considered him. I asked for a second opinion and paid another $150 to talk to Dr. Bush in the same practice. I was willing to do that to get the best care. Ultimately, I chose Dr. Weaver because he is also an MD and I would need to be put under. Today was supposed to be my surgery. I arrived on time and waited in the office for an hour. When I asked what was going on, the reception said they were behind and fixing up two rooms for the other person in the lobby so the surgeon could work on us both. What?? I am here for surgery, not a tandem get er' done fix it. To top it off, at that moment, after waiting an hour, I found out I had been booked with Dr. Bush and not the doctor I had requested! Everything felt wrong, so I asked for a refund and left the office. This is the first time I have felt the need to write a review for a business, it was shockingly bad.

Wow! I was Refered to "Dr Weaver" personally by Johnson Dental next door. When he came into my…read moreappointment to be evaluated for oral surgery, he told me that my dentist was the wrong person to diagnose the problem with dental extrusions going up into both of my sinus cavities. After cutting down my dentist, who was the one doctor who DID read my CT scan and identified the problem in the first place, he continued to talk about why he wouldn't do anything about it. I recorded a video of his "findings" and showed it to my referring dentist. She was stunned by his arrogance, and couldn't believe he would undercut her like that when the diagnosis of extrusion in my sinuses were so clear on the CT scan she had just done... and that I brought in with me. Weaver sent me to a ENT doc, who said Dr Weaver didn't have any idea what he was talking about at all. I was going to ignore this and let my dental insurance deal with him and cover this. Months later I got a bill from some doctor collective billing company in Michigan saying I owed another $120 for a 20min consultation where this guy spent me of his time telling me how bad my other doctors was. I just couldn't pay it in good conscience. Justin Weaver is a good looking guy, and I'm sure he knows and uses it to his advantage. Unfortunately he's gotten away with bluster, cutting other good doctors down, and passing off the responsibility for the work he is supposed to be an expert in, by saying they are wrong and he is right. His opinion meant absolutely zero in my case, and I can't believe my dental insurance company paid him a dime for his bill!

I've been through a complicated journey with facial trauma from a serious car accident years ago,…read morewhere my face hit a metal dashboard. Because of that injury, I needed orthodontic treatment as part of preparation for corrective jaw surgery -- it wasn't cosmetic, it was medically necessary. When I first visited this office in San Luis Obispo, the doctor suggested single jaw surgery instead of double jaw surgery, which would have cut my costs in half. While I appreciated the effort to save money, this recommendation didn't align with my surgeon's plan for proper correction. The office itself raised concerns. Their website and messaging mirrored my original surgeon's office, causing confusion. Months into treatment, after consulting with my surgeon and other specialists to confirm the surgical plan, I received a call demanding $800 for an evaluation fee. Much of this evaluation relied on imaging that was never conducted, and when I questioned it, the response was aggressive and dismissive. Orthodontic care for trauma-related jaw surgery requires close coordination with your surgeon. In this office, that coordination felt secondary to billing and aggressive collection tactics. While the doctor may have been well-intentioned, the office's practices left me frustrated and concerned. If you are dealing with medically necessary orthodontic treatment, especially after facial trauma, I strongly urge caution: Confirm your orthodontic plan aligns with your surgeon's recommendations Get a full itemized breakdown of fees and services Know your rights to transfer or modify care if treatment plans change I'm now back under the care of my trusted surgeon and hope to continue treatment safely. I share this review to warn patients to verify that the office truly supports medically necessary care before committing.

I originally saw his father, and Dr. Ian has inherited all the skills and patience that his father had. I also go in regularly for dental hygiene with Maria, and am just as happy with her work to keep my teeth looking and feeling healthy! Maria works quickly and I always walk away feeling like I have a new set of teeth. The office is in a beautifully restored Craftsman style house near Highway 101 and also close to Poly. It is clean, calm and relaxing. The front office staff is also attentive and patient. They can navigate the intricacies of billing and scheduling with cheer and ease. Dr. Ian also works on Saturdays, and they can fit you in should you have a dental emergency. They can also recommend specialists in the area if you need further work like dental surgery. The only downside for me is that they are out of my dental insurance provider, but I still get partial reimbursement. I would never go anywhere else because the quality of the work here is worth paying a bit extra for!

Unshockingly, this has left my mouth in a suboptimal state, and I was referred to Dr Goldberg for a multi-tooth extraction. From the start, everyone in the office was kind and welcoming. They worked with me and my really weird scheduling availability to get me seen and treated in good time, and were always right on top of the game. Solid five stars just for the office and support staff. Dr Goldberg himself? 10 stars. Any question I had, he answered. He really listened when I told him about my fears and anxiety surrounding my being there and made sure I knew ALL of my options - not just the expensive ones like some offices do. The day of the procedure itself he was just as warm and welcoming and talked to me the whole time as I was going to sleep (general anesthesia was needed). The part that was over the top? He called me at home that same evening just to make sure I was doing okay. I have never in my life had such a kind, caring experience - not just with a dentist but with a medical professional at all! If I had dentists in the past even half as kind and attentive as Dr Goldberg, I wouldn't have ever had the problems that sent me to him in the first place.

I like how they call you afterwards to make sure you're doing okay post op. I don't like how one assistant kept leaning into me with tools in my neck while the doctor was performing my surgery. Overall the procedure was quick and mostly painless. They definitely overestimate when telling you how long something may take. For my child I was told 3 hours and it was only 45 min and for myself I was in and out in 30min.

All had caused my jaw and bite to progressively get more and more out of alignment. I was experiencing a lot of pain in both upper and lower jaws upon awakening and throughout the day because my bite got so off center. My TMJ joint on the left side was completely destroyed with little cartilage left as seen on my original CT scan. When she diagnoses you, she will do a CT scan. Then she models your jaws, airway, and teeth in 3 dimensions, and calculates what movement is necessary to get you into perfect alignment and designs the exact custom appliance you will need to get there. After 2 years of treatment with the Thrive Appliance that Dr Cane designed for me, my upper jaw bone has increased in size by 3mm! My bite is completely aligned, and on the current CT my TMJ joint has regrown all new cartilage on the left side in the new correct position! No more TMJ, jaw, or tooth pain either. And my teeth that were crowded are all perfectly aligned. My smile and my breathing at night are finally perfect in every way... no more snoring either. If Dr Cane had been around years ago, I would have had my airway, jaws, and smile fixed back then! At 65 I am so incredibly happy to smile in the mirror. Dr Cane is also an amazing general dentist and she bonded some of my teeth so that my smile is beautifully white for the first time in years! What's crazy is that I also had snoring issues, and obstructive sleep apnea which compromised my airway at night. When I wear the device, it moves my jaw into correct alignment and all of my snoring and apnea is completely gone. No C-pap necessary for me! My husband has some of the same issues, so after my success, I asked Dr Cane to provide him with a Thrive Appliance as well. It is completely reshaping and expanding the bone in his jaws. This is already making a big difference for his sleep quality at night, after only 3 months. The added benefit is that his teeth are also being straightened at the same time! Usually just orthodontics for teeth straightening is over $10k. This treatment is about the same price, and does so much more. I highly recommend Dr Cane for any sleep, TMJ, or dental pain issues. She is a true visionary and spent tens of thousands of dollars on becoming certified to do this work. It is well worth it, and I can't imagine anything else that does so much for so little.

After permanent bridge installed, I went back because the bite was so far off, I could put my tongue between upper and lower teeth. I could not chew on that side. They looked, took no measurements, x-rays, nothing. Then a few days later I received a certified letter that stated "establishment of a productive/patient relationship will not be possible" and they would no longer be able to provide me with services. Brand new bridge that I paid a lot of cash for my share, and they dropped me. I would highly recommend you stay away from this office. I went from a cracked tooth, to them filing off two other teeth for an ill fitted bridge and lost the capability to chew on that side. My other side is taking all the chewing abuse and I am unable to sleep due to pressure and pain on the one side they did not touch. Dr. Cane was brutal, certainly not gentle, and had no chairside manner.
