Drove 30 minutes to get there on a friend's recommendation. It was a Wednesday around 11am. Store had 1-2 customers in it. Brought my mom to come pick out her Christmas gift. She had a little idea of what she was looking for. We were shown a handful of options and was told some of the major features of each paddle we looked at. It was a very pleasant experience where the store was busy, but never felt rushed in our decision. After about 10-15 minutes we found the Selkirk Invikta paddle my mom instantly fell for. The butt cap on my racquet fell off the day after they regripped it. Michael and his wife both accused me of not having bought the racquet there. Offered proof only to be treated rudely. When I reached out with a letter requesting an apology I heard nothing back. Poor customer service. Would not recommend. read more

I have been a customer for about 4 years and as a tennis player, I really enjoy coming here to get my rackets restrung and re-griped. They have a wide selection of strings to choose from and tons of tennis accessories. Michael Lynne's also has this program that lets you have a 2-day demo of the racket which has helped me try to find which racket best fits my playing style. I recently purchased three tennis rackets from Michael Lynne's tennis shop. After less than three weeks one of the rackets cracked so I went back to the store for a warranty replacement. They said "We don't warranty anything in the store, the manufacturer does" and told me it had to be sent back to the manufacturer. Two weeks later I got a call from them saying I had received a new racket from the manufacturer and what strings did I want on it. I gave them the old string info and then they asked me how I wanted to pay for the strings. I explained that the racket was less than three weeks old and it broke. Michael Lynne's didn't have to cover the cost of a new racket and that I thought they should restring it since it was only played with four times. They said no. The racket was replaced and but the manufacturer doesn't cover the cost of the stings. I said they should and they said they don't warranty anything in the store. I explained that I didn't want the racket strung and I would glad pay anyone else to string it since Michael Lynne's tennis shop won't stand behind anything they sell. In addition to my rant above, my question is if the warranty is being held NOT by Michael Lynne's why shouldn't I save 25% and buy it off the internet? read more

I paid $57.47 for stringing my tennis racket half with Babolat VS gut and half with RPM Blast. The price is reasonable. But, First they didn't tell me they were using the newer VS Team gut instead of original VS Touch gut. Team gut is a newer version of VS gut, and some the web reviews show less favorable reviews. Second, it appears that the stringing tie-off on the gut was done two tight, making my string break at the knot while it was sitting in my case and after a match with less the 2 hours of use. read more

My daughter is new to tennis. She needed a racquet, shoes and other necessities before her season began. Not knowing much about tennis myself, I was very thankful we made the hour drive to Michael Lynne's Tennis Shop. Even though the shop had a constant flow of customers, we always had help when we needed it and never felt rushed. Everyone on staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in finding the right equipment for my daughter. Michael was amazing at finding the perfect racquet for her and stringing it while we waited. Mimzy found a stylish, quality pair of shoes for her to start her junior high tennis career. The prices were very reasonable (better than amazon). The customer service in the store was second to none. We left the store with everything that my daughter needs before her first practice. We will definitely be back. read more

I got my racket restrung here and after playing with it for five minutes the strings broke on the side of the racquet. They would not restring it for me for free. Unbelievable. Horrible customer service. I will never return read more

I am a little disappointed today. I used to buy all my tennis/platform tennis gear on-line. About a year ago, I started going to Michael Lynne's. Today, I had my first customer service experience with Michael Lynne's. I purchased a pair of platform tennis gloves less than two months ago from Michael Lynne's. I had used them three times when the right glove started tearing along a seam. I brought them (along with my original receipt) into Michael Lynne's today to get a replacement or get my money back. Since they no longer carried the gloves I purchased, I wanted a refund since I did not particularly care for their current selection of platform gloves. I was told I could not get a refund and only could get a pair of replacement gloves, which I did not like. So, I had to accept a replacement pair of gloves, rather than get my money back. I am not sure why/how the store manager came to this decision, but I am a little disappointed. I may go back to my on-line tennis/platform tennis purchases since I have never had any difficulty exchanging items or getting my money back from two different on-line retailers. I would rather do business with a local retailer and support my local community, but I believe I should have been given a refund. I was sold a defective product and I did not like their current selection of alternative replacement products. And, I had my original receipt. End of the world, no. But, a local retailer, where I have spent a lot of money (well over $1,000) over the past 12 months, should have simply given me a $39.99 refund. read more
