Not only was Allen able to help me and replace the flat backs on my existing jewelry, he also informed me that my naval piercing that fell out months ago wasn't closed. This isn't my first tattoo, and my husband and I have been following the after care and have been careful. It's on the healing stage, but you can tell that the corner line differs and there is a smudged area on both tattoos. For both these it was $240 total and done by Chris. I especially wanted to shout out Hernan for my navel piercing. He did a phenomenal job. He was communicative and completely open to my requests. It's been about three days now, and I'm honestly surprised by how little soreness and discomfort I've had. I'm a bigger guy with a stomach, so I was a little concerned about how a navel piercing would feel, especially since it's a high movement area. But after the first 12 hours, there is very little soreness, and I'm already noticing less discomfort when I move. I think a lot of that has to do with Hernan's skill and attention to placement. He checked the placement while I was standing, sitting, and laying down to see how my stomach and navel moved and sat in each position. That level of care really stood out to me and should be standard but isn't everywhere which is why I always go here. For any plus size person wondering if a navel piercing is possible or will heal well, it definitely will! It's more about your individual anatomy than your size, but having a knowledgeable piercer who understands anatomy of all sizes makes a huge difference. Everyone here is great. I got a daith, vertical helix, and lobe. I completely trusted her judgement and I'm glad I did. She made the experience fast and painless. Then once I contacted her through IG for some last minute questions, she responded less than two days later. However, three weeks ago, I had scheduled an appointment with Gabriela (2nd-year apprentice). She was kind, creative, and super accommodating. She touched up an old tattoo and began work on the background to enhance the artwork already on my arm. 1st session: 8hrs+ of work = $550 with a touch-up and outline I was told to come back so we can "finish" the piece at a later date. Five weeks later, I scheduled my 2nd and final session (as per Gabriela---apprentice) with another 8hr+ session, this time $850. My first issue is the complete blindsided hike in price not disclosed to me prior to my appointment. My second issue is that so far I've spent $1400 on my arm and I have nowhere near a completed tattoo design. Finally, the biggest hit in the gut is by far the complete negligence by the artist and owner at not responding to any attempted contact after my repeated efforts of trying to get in touch with both artist/owner. I'm not a newbie to getting inked. Being a canvas to an apprentice comes with certain realities which I have fully factored in. (A discounted tattoo, and longer than average time under her needle). Completely and utterly disappointed. #disappointed #ghosted
