Good spot and (usually) great service. The menu could definitely use some work though.

Gravy had a strange taste, staff uninterested, and ambiance akin to a retirement center--menu is designed for +65.

Came with friends on a Friday evening. Parking is always a challenge but we found a spot about a…read moreblock away. There was a concert going on in their outdoor space. We headed in to the brewery. I had Moondoor Dunkel because I love the dark beers. It was a nice Dunkel. The taproom space was very loud. There is no sound dampening at all so it was really hard to carry on a conversation. It was too cold and drizzly to sit outside as we would have moved otherwise. We sat near the door to the brewhouse. There were employees periodically entering and exiting the door. Whenever that happened there was a very unpleasant waft of off smell. It did not smell like wort or fermentation but more methane like. We finished our beers and headed out.

I can see many great events for groups or family get togethers. Dogs welcome and kids too. Many indoor and outdoors areas with an enclosed pavilion. There's parking onsite or plenty off street or parking lot close by. Somedays they have live music. They also have great event and annual fest! Just a GREAT space. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. The service was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We waited about 20 minutes just for drinks and eventually had to go up to the bar ourselves. When we asked about it, the bartender simply said, "I'm working on it," which was frustrating given how long we had already been waiting. There were 4 tales in the restaurant and like 8 employees Things did not improve from there. Our food came out very slowly and one of the meals had to be sent back. We ended up having to go to the bar multiple times, including for a to go box and even to get our check, because no one was checking on our table. To make matters worse, the menu states that guests are asked to limit their visit to 90 minutes. However, due to the slow and inattentive service, we were there for nearly two hours through no fault of our own. There also used to be a sense of customer service here, which seems to have changed. To top it off, gratuity was automatically added without it being mentioned or explained. That felt especially inappropriate considering we ended up doing a large portion of the service ourselves. It's like they figured they were getting auti gratuity so didn't provide any service Really disappointing experience overall. Not sure what changed, but this was a huge step down from our previous visit.

My family and I ate dinner at The Roost while visiting the area for a few days. Since we were…read moretraveling from out of state we made a reservation ahead of time - although on a Wednesday evening at 5pm, it wasn't super critical, as the restaurant never got completely full. There are multiple seating options - inside, patio, or rooftop. We opted for the rooftop and the vibes were excellent. The weather was gorgeous and the rooftop patio is nicely decorated with live plants and a big bar running the length of the patio. Our server was excellent. I think his name was Danny. One of our party has an alcohol intolerance, so needs to avoid foods cooked with alcohol. Danny was super helpful in guiding our menu options with this information. He confirmed multiple dishes with the chef before we ordered. For food, we started with the Truffle Parm Fries, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and the Bangin' Cauliflower. All were delicious. The cauliflower was extremely good, I can see why so many reviews mention it. For entrees, our group ordered the Short Rib Tacos, Jumbo Crab Cakes, Chilean Salmon, and the Avocado Salad with Seared Ahi. No complaints around the table. The meat in the Short Rib tacos is super tasty. Portions were good sized, however the Crab Cake dish is definitely smaller than the others. Good option if you aren't super hungry. The Chilean Salmon was cooked perfectly. We didn't really have any complaints at all. Solid dining experience. Would definitely return if I'm ever back in the Longmont area.

The atmosphere is fantastic, the staff is super friendly and attentive, and they have a massive food and drink menu with options for pretty much everyone. Here's a quick breakdown of what we tried: Seared Ahi: Absolutely fresh, light, and full of flavor. A standout starter. Fried Brussels Sprouts: Crispy and really good--definitely worth getting if you're a fan of Brussels sprouts (though, as with any sprouts, it depends on your palate!). Grilled Chicken Sandwich: Huge, super juicy, and packed with flavor. Crispy Chicken Sandwich: Very good, though it's a generous portion that almost feels like too much meat, but no complaints on taste! Between the extensive drink selection, creative menu, and great outdoor vibes, we had an awesome meal.
