Food and drinks were served in less than 10 minutes. We both ordered the Chicken in a Waffle. It was phenomenal. Despite being comfort food, the presentation was pleasing and the flavors (like the spicy jam) added complexity. The cocktails were also well presented and interesting. I had the Breck Burger today with cream cheese, bacon, and bacon jam, among other toppings with a savory sweetness that didn't overpower the grass fed double patty, cause the bun to disintegrate, or spill more cream cheese or my shirt than I ate (that's on me, not 99). We were in Longmont visiting some of the great stores in downtown and looked across the street and saw the 99 Bar Saloon. We were hungry for some lunch and it looked like it had some good reviews, so we hopped on over and got a table. I read through the menu and was excited about several of their burgers. I ordered The Breck with cream cheese, cowboy candy, bacon, lettuce and barbecue mayo. The burger was excellent and packed so many flavors. The cowboy candy is actually sweet pickled jalapenos, which gave the burger such a great contrast of flavors and just a little hint of heat. We also shared some fries which I thought were some of the best fries that I have had in a long time. The seasoning on the fries was a treat for the tastebuds, and they were served nice and hot. Our service was spot on, and while the burgers took a little time to come out, it was very reasonable. I rather have hot fresh food than something that comes out quickly and is meh. I look forward to returning to 99 Saloon, but will also want to try some of their other restaurants in the area. read more

All I can say is Chef/Owner Sean is the real deal. Creative, fun and entertaining. His restaurants are amazing. This evening was fun and took me away from the stress of midweek work. High West Distillery featured menu and drinks. Truly a fun and fantastic place. I guess I would say a complete surprise by looking at the name, but after knowing the history it all makes sense. Well we did have a great time here! We had heard this was the best burger in Longmont. We were seated at the bar, which were seated immediately. The bartender was extremely busy and short-handed. But she was friendly and prompt. She took our order and made an excellent suggestion for my drink. I do like bubbles! We ordered a burger and a fried chicken sandwich and split an order of fries. The fries came out early and they were exceptionally hot, which I love. Our sandwiches were served shortly thereafter and I enjoyed it tremendously. Setting up a date in Longmont, I was looking for something cozy and casual, and having been familiar with 99 Bar (but never having been there) I decided on this for a cold snowy night as a place to have a little whiskey and some good conversation. We came in on a cold snow Friday evening around 7 and were surprised to find the place pretty empty, though that was probably the weather. We were seated quickly and given menus and when we realized they didn't have a spirits list, our server took the time to walk us through their whole selection, including prices and recommendations. We ended up having a High West campfire and a Japanese whiskey I can't remember the name of, but both were delicious and absolutely hit the spot. The vibes here were fantastic - the interior is warm, welcoming and cozy and our server (I wish I got their name to give them full credit!) was so attentive, patient, helpful, and kind. They really made the experience top notch. I want to come back here and eat sometime because the ambiance is suuuuper cozy, the drink list is great, and the service is amazing! read more

Old west bar type feel with comfy seats and lots of tvs. Basically a reasonably priced burger place with good (4/5) food. Single burgers fir about $10 doubles for about $15 with fries separate. Burgers were good and juicy fries were ok Dint miss the fried pickles - amazing. Id say they have room to improve on the food but this family has proven they get it right over time. The food is all phenomenal, I've had the 99 bar burger, the ned, and the Breck so far. The buns are homemade and the beef is local grass fed beef. They have great pickle shots and a nice old fashioned. They have a ton of great looking chicken entrees as well. Great date spot on Main. Great interior design that's clean rich tones and a myriad of rustic ranch artifacts complete with one bar stool that's a saddle but still a few screens up to watch the game. Friendly service and really good elevated burgers and sammies with every option to customize. What really got my soul was what was on the screens last time- usually it's all the tradish sports everywhere you go... bleh... but this time there was a screen with wrestling which was really fun and interesting AND paws tv... It is such a unique space, with unique decor and menu. And the story behind it pulls everything together. I tried a lot of things here and loved each menu item. We went back for a return visit after our initial experience on opening day this spring. I think it's safe to say the kinks were worked out! Burgers, fries, and drinks were delicious and super fresh. Service was a little slow but it was BUSY (Saturday afternoon Happy Hour during a day of the dead celebration) so that was understandable. We still felt taken care of at the bar. Here's the deal: Food was great, service started out awful and then improved when one server (Alicia) took matters into her own hands. We got seated at the small bar on the inside window. We then watched four other groups come in and get seated, and orders taken, while no one approached us at all. And we were sitting right next to the hostess!!! We finally flagged down Alicia, who said she would take care of us even though not in her assigned area. I am glad we waited because the food (Ned Burger and Meat and Potato) was really good. We will come back again sometime, but probably not during rush hour. If the service improves and the food stays good, this will be a five star place.
