My favorite place! Amazing food and vibe. A truly special place. Delicious-- highly recommend and will continue to go regularly.

We have been here before with family and had a great experience. The food was good and the service was attentive, so we were really looking forward to coming back. Unfortunately, this visit was completely different. The service was extremely disappointing from start to finish. We waited about 20 minutes just for drinks and eventually had to go up to the bar ourselves. When we asked about it, the bartender simply said, "I'm working on it," which was frustrating given how long we had already been waiting. There were 4 tales in the restaurant and like 8 employees Things did not improve from there. Our food came out very slowly and one of the meals had to be sent back. We ended up having to go to the bar multiple times, including for a to go box and even to get our check, because no one was checking on our table. To make matters worse, the menu states that guests are asked to limit their visit to 90 minutes. However, due to the slow and inattentive service, we were there for nearly two hours through no fault of our own. There also used to be a sense of customer service here, which seems to have changed. To top it off, gratuity was automatically added without it being mentioned or explained. That felt especially inappropriate considering we ended up doing a large portion of the service ourselves. It's like they figured they were getting auti gratuity so didn't provide any service Really disappointing experience overall. Not sure what changed, but this was a huge step down from our previous visit. read more

The food is good. The service is good. The ingredients are pretty much always fresh and it shows, and the food is handled with care. But OMFG... the NOISE. It is Just. So. Damn. Houston left and this place just isn't the same. Prices have gone up, and the service isn't very good. I know it's hard times right now, but we were regulars here for years. We came in a couple weeks ago for a quick stout month visit. It was pretty empty. It took over 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us - we almost left. Then the service was soooo slowwwww. All the veteran staff we know seemed checked out. Truly a bizarre and off putting experience, especially considering we used to go here once a week. This place is amazing! First not right off is that they only accept cash. If you don't have any they do have an ATM inside. The staff here are awesome! Very polite, considerate and up for chatting with their customer. They are also very knowledgeable about their beer and give great recommendations. Speaking of their beer, it's a great selection with some mighty tasty brews. Their food menu is pretty great. I had the bison burger which was delicious. Their fries are made in house and topped with flaky sea salt!! Omg! So good!! There's lots of great seating options inside and out and the vibe is very laid back and relaxed. Came here with my wife for a lunch date. Sat outside and there was nobody inside. The food took forever to get to us had to go inside and ask for water. Also had to go inside to ask to get the check then had to go back inside again to pay my check. When I went inside to pay all the staff were just hanging out by the pizza oven kicking it. Just kind of frustrated because we come here all the time. Hope that's doesn't happen again... read more

Food is very good, but incredibly expensive, and everything is an upcharge. Most of the servers are very nice, with a couple exceptions. They do tip share though, which I believe is never prefferable at any resturaunt. And they are often out of many ingredients or specials they advertise. read more

When she waited on me, I voiced my concerns since her arrival. I was met with rudeness, dismissiveness, excuses, and crying. Unfortunately I will take my business elsewhere. Better than the original location in Boulder, but still a little irritated they don't take credit cards, and it's not like they pass the savings on to the customer, Stout month is fantastic, as I had a difficult time deciding which to try. I ended up with five 5oz pours, and my wife had one of the others on the list. Pretty much all were good. As it's stout month, there's probably no point in talking about any of these in particular. My daughter and I both got the grilled chicken sandwich. Mine was the Cajun spice. They weee good, as were the chips, which were better than the fries. After seeing someone else with the quesadilla, my wife switched to that, and she was happy she did. Service was strong throughout. If they took credit cards, even better. read more

I have been here a number of times since they opened, it is especially a great summertime stop when walking the dog and love the food and atmosphere. I know that the staff there manage all sections but recently our group was served by Leilani and she was awesome. Very attentive to each of us in our party, made sure that our drinks did not run dry and so courteous to everyone. Hope we are in her section again when we visit next time. Love this place. They have wonderful service and an amazing selection of food and beverages. I've been in several times and each time has been a very pleasant experience. It is a big open space on the inside and can get loud at times but they also have plenty of outdoor seating so it's really up to you for what you prefer. They also have something for everyone and are willing and happy to accommodate any kinds of food sensitivity requests. read more

I ordered the same thing every time and this is the third time I have sat in front of all the employees that share everything and not one person acknowledge me not one person asked if I needed anything not one person took my order in 30 minutes. We adore this place! Anytime we are in Longmont we try to make it here. The food is made from scratch, the staff are epic and the vine is very friendly and relaxed. Just know there is a lot of construction currently so parking can get tricky, Also, this restaurant only accepts cash or checks. My husband and I used to frequent the original Mountain Sun back in the day but hadn't managed to hit Longs Peak until recently. In a month, we've been there three times because I've discovered my new favorite pizza. Like... it's actually a problem haha. Love the restaurant itself and the servers are also always great. Tried this pub out today and sadly disappointed. Upon getting seated and menus handed to us we noticed that the menu stated No Credit Cards. They accept local checks or cash only. I asked if debit cards were allowed and were told no because they wanted to keep the business simple and avoid surcharges from cards but there is an ATM by the bathrooms. So they don't like charges but the ATM charges you a fee to use it. That seems fair to your patrons. What's ever best for your business and not your customers I guess. Oh but there's a "Karma" envelope that you can take with you and send them cash for your meal. Again not convenient for your customers. Whatever. So we decide to stay and order food $12 minimum for a basic burger! $14 and up for others? Ok better be good I thought. Burgers ordered "medium" and came out raw in the middle. Didn't find this out until after we left as we had to leave for our son's game and had to take to food to go. My son could not even eat his bean burrito because it was a tortilla filled with black beans. Nothing else in it. There was so much juice from the beans, he couldn't even eat it. Said it was gross. Not all the food was bad. Other children had the cheese pizza and grilled cheese, but seriously how hard is that to make. All in all for two burgers three kids meals and an appetizer bill came to $91 plus tip! There are better places not far from this restaurant that we will keep going to instead. On a nice note the restaurant is nice for atmosphere and nice staff but poor on food quality and customer convenience. read more

Might be my favorite restaurant in town. The food's amazing and has more variety, particularly for diverse diets, than most other places in town. Everything on the menu is thoughtful and well done. Their beer is so under the radar, it's crazy. Consistently putting out beers that are some of my favorite in the front range. Honestly, though, it's always the staff and the whole atmosphere that does it for me. The staff is constantly going above and beyond for everyone around us, no matter how busy they are. Each has been friendly, kind-hearted, and genuinely respectful of all. I have never had a negative experience that wasn't completely out of their control. Sometimes things happen, but it's all about how you recover, and this staff always recovers better than any restaurant I've been to. read more

We went in for lunch and were seated in the patio. The weather was nice so why not. We started off with the hummus bruschetta goat cheese appetizer. Super fresh and yummy ingredients and warm pita bread we definitely likes this. Then for our entree, we ordered the fish tacos and farmerhouse salad with blackened chicken. Oh my. Those two dishes were also super yummy. The portions are also great so you will definitely get full. The service was great and the waiter was super attentive. overall I would highly recommend this spot. read more

This place was so amazing! We were greeted as we came into the place and the staff were friendly. I ordered the braised pork and Gouda macaroni and cheese. WOW!! It was amazing!!! Hubby ordered the Speakeasy Steak sandwich with their amazing hand cut fries. I made him share. This place has a pleasant atmosphere, it is clean, and the food was amazing. We just love coming to this Mountain Sun location in Longmont. It is very family friendly with kids having fun in a safe environment. They do not take credit cards though, you will need to bring cash! If you forget cash, there is an ATM next to the restrooms. They have an interesting system of providing service: there is no designated bartender making all of the drinks. Each server pours their own for each order. The nachos are absolutely the best nachos I have ever eaten in a restaurant! And nachos are a food group for me! We love to watch the pizzas being made and eating them when they are done! The wine list is limited but if you like beer they have a great variety including some ciders! We loved the cherry cider! read more

Came with some out of town friends for a weekend lunch. It was HOT inside, we were all sweating which was unpleasant. I don't think the AC was working or cranked up enough for a hot summer day. We came here for a wide variety of choices, but I was disappointed that the veg options were only vegan-ish, like the veg burger didn't have a vegan bun, and the tempeh reuben had non-vegan cheese but vegan sauce. Those would be simple fixes to make a dish fully vegan. $2 upcharge if you want fries. Portions large, the burritos looked huge. The Arnold Palmer was made with raspberry tea which was weird--would not order that again. 5 stars for the staff though, they were some of the nicest wait staff I've had in years. We stopped in here for a beer after being up north. Great place! Atmosphere was light and fun, service was very friendly and the beer was cold. We ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole for something to snack on along with the Annapurna Amber Ale and F.Y.I.P.A. Both beers were great ($7.50 per pint) and the salsa and guacamole were tasty although the salsa could've used more heat. The chips are advertised as "house fried" but to me they just seemed like bagged chips (I could be wrong). Overall great ambiance, service, and beer. We're going to be back to try the food and some more of the tasty brews. read more
