a glass of beer on a table
    Bennie C.

This place is what you want a dive bar to be. The jukebox gets loud and so do the patrons. You can go in alone and you'll make a friend. The bartenders anytime I've gone in are attentive and one will even get you another drink without you having to ask until you say stop or from what I saw from an inebriated patron she says stop. They serve pizza and snacks from a little pizza oven, it's not your first choice for dinner but if you get munchies while there it's convenient. The jukebox is awesome, download the app and you can play music from your seat. If it's dead, and no music is playing most of the bartenders will put it on free play so you can just play music at will. For free. Don't come here expecting high class service, but if you want to drink a cold beer with some fun outgoing regulars then this is your spot. Expect to engage in conversation with a stranger here it's just the environment. COVID NOTES: Masks are not required as of yet, but seating at the bar is not available. Tables are spread out and pool tables are shut down. The bartender serves you waitress style, they come to the tables, you do not approach the bar.

Big ass "3s" right out front

3s is a somewhat divey blue-collar hangout that has no pretenses of being anything other than what it is. Bottled beer is cold as hell, they have five beers on tap (one of which is Fat Tire), and a few flat screens playing sports channels. Pool tables in the front, walk toward the back and there is a punch-o-meter type thing (?), another pool table, and dart boards. The staff is friendly, the clientele are varied and colorful, and it's all-around a good spot to knock back a few cold beers and hang out. Special props for the free wifi and opening hours till 2:00 am - take that the rest of you early-closing Longmont stuffed shirts!

For a dive bar an $11 Jim beam and coke is too expensive. Otherwise I like the vibe and people.

Since we were…read moretraveling from out of state we made a reservation ahead of time - although on a Wednesday evening at 5pm, it wasn't super critical, as the restaurant never got completely full. There are multiple seating options - inside, patio, or rooftop. We opted for the rooftop and the vibes were excellent. The weather was gorgeous and the rooftop patio is nicely decorated with live plants and a big bar running the length of the patio. Our server was excellent. I think his name was Danny. One of our party has an alcohol intolerance, so needs to avoid foods cooked with alcohol. Danny was super helpful in guiding our menu options with this information. He confirmed multiple dishes with the chef before we ordered. For food, we started with the Truffle Parm Fries, Fried Brussels Sprouts, and the Bangin' Cauliflower. All were delicious. The cauliflower was extremely good, I can see why so many reviews mention it. For entrees, our group ordered the Short Rib Tacos, Jumbo Crab Cakes, Chilean Salmon, and the Avocado Salad with Seared Ahi. No complaints around the table. The meat in the Short Rib tacos is super tasty. Portions were good sized, however the Crab Cake dish is definitely smaller than the others. Good option if you aren't super hungry. The Chilean Salmon was cooked perfectly. We didn't really have any complaints at all. Solid dining experience. Would definitely return if I'm ever back in the Longmont area.

Not as pleased with the entree. Mostly fries and not much meat. Would have gone for the short rib. Nice ambiance inside. Easy parking.

They have a great beer and food selection on the menu. I had a tall Smithwicks and it met my expectations (it was very good). The server was very friendly and pleasant. She was attentive and casual about the whole thing. The inside has the appropriate Irish Pub vibes. Very nice. I had the NE chowder to start and it was delicious. It was slightly more watery than I had anticipated but still had plenty of flavor and the garnishes were enjoyable. The steak salad was excellent. It was a very generous portion size and the steak was cooked exactly as I wanted it: medium rare. This was a very good experience across the board. The meal was in a good price range and I feel I got my money's worth.

I'm done with Oskar Blues and the surprises each time I go…read more I tried to have a birthday party on a Monday lunch time for 6 adults and 4 kids. I called ahead and Sarah said I could reserve space inside or outside seating for my party but when we got there, the host put us outside and THEN told us they didn't have service outside and we'd have to order at the bar. WTF!? So, we moved inside and were the only ones in the place for about 30 minutes. The food was good but I'm done with everything being an add-on item - example: cheese on the burger is $1.50. Really? House salad was $2.00 additional replacing onion rings on the pulled pork sandwich? Soft drinks were reasonable at $3.00 each. We ordered a kids fish plate ($8.00) and wanted to order one additional fish filet and were charged for a second kids plate (again $8.00). KIds' Mac & Cheese was pretty good. The cost-of-living adder on the check that most restaurants have dropped is now LUMPED together with tax on the bill so as to hide the additional amount. On my bill of $146.00 - they added $17.36 for tax and adjustment. Working backwards, I guess that is an additional $5.00 or 3%. Not too much but it's misleading to price a menu this way. One only saving grace was I could pay with a charge card and they didn't add a fee on top of all that. I guess future customers will see if that changes because I'm done.
