He did an exam and determined I had a small cyst on my vocal cord. We scheduled the surgery and when he was in there it revealed two tiny nodules instead of one small cyst. He removed them and I was onto recovery! Fast forward 14 years and I have my first ever bout of laryngitis. I went to an otolaryngologist in San Francisco for a vocal check since I was not recovering as fast as I hoped. The doctor said she never would have known I had surgery on my vocal cords. There was no scar tissue and no sign of a scar at all! She was very impressed. I owe my career and my sanity to Dr. Koriwchak. She called me sweetie and within 2 minutes felt like it was her job to give me her "shpeal" as she put it about bring my CT scan and that I needed to do that and not always does their system work or can they log into Wellstar. I was trying to explain to her that it was an old CT scan and then she stated "Well then we don't need that and it doesn't matter" after cracking her knuckles and berating me. She was snappy and rude. My husband even was shocked at how she was speaking to me. I told her I would speak to my Dr about these matters at which time she just looked at me like I was being rude. She didn't realize at all that I have been in the medical field for 30 plus years and would never speak to a patient this way. She continued to talk to me like she was my Dr! at which time I again said, I will speak to my Dr about these things. Then she kind of laughed and walked out of the room with a huff. I did mention this to my very wonderful Dr. who was very professional and listened. I will stay a patient. Even when checking me out the MA came in, rolled her tongue over her teeth, cracked her neck with a head roll, and proceeded to ask me (thank God) yes or no questions about getting an MRI. Thank God I'm very well versed in all of this procedure so it was short. She really needs a class on speaking to patients that are in pain and new to the facility. And, she is NOT a Dr. she has no right to be acting this way at all as a medical assistant

I just had to add to my original review: this practice really rocks…read more Tuesday, after I saw them, I left with additional pain and anti-inflammatory prescriptions. Long story short, I had a REALLY scary reaction to the combo - I took all as prescribed, dosage and timing wise - and basically had a near stroke and all the OD symptoms. After I was put to bed and felt ok the next morning, I called Dr Foster's office and his nurse Linda was amazing. I explained what happened and she consulted with him and got back to me - it doesn't happen to everyone but the combination of hydrocodone (lortab)and tramadol (the former being what WellStreet gave me and Dr Foster also prescribed) and the latter added by Dr Foster, can cause such severe reactions. While I took them as directed, if this happens, the best thing is to separate them and taper off the lortab as soon as possible. Haven't had a problem since I made the changes, and the best part? Linda gave me her cell so I can get in touch any time if needed. Would've been good to have avoided the whole frightening experience, but that kind of thing can't be predicted and they were there to help me get it corrected.
