Friendly staff and great selection! So many isles stocked and full of great items! Even told me my belt fell down!

The manager rudely grabbed my paints from from me when trying to check out demanding that I check out at register 1 I usually shop at the Brodie location but stopped by here due to inventory and I felt profiled and judged immediately and couldn't get any help because the manager stood sweeping the same location in front of the door for 30 minutes read more

Incompetent customer service. Called and tried to confirm coming in to drop off pictures to be framed. They said they closed at 5:30 on the phone. I came In at 4:45 and I was waiting around at the framing dept for a while, all for them to tell me framing department was closed. I will not being getting my pictures framed here. read more

This Michaels is the smallest + oldest one I've ever been to. Not only is the selection smaller than their younger siblings, it's also laid out completely different. I had a ton of trouble finding what I needed here. Luckily the store is so small that making 5 trips across its aisles doesn't take very long. For such a small store, the small staff wasn't too surprising. There were only two employees that I say, one on the registers and one putting away discarded items. If any store in Austin is closing anytime soon, this would be the one. If you're a Michaels fan, you'll probably find what you need here. They may not have the options of other stores, but if it's the closest one around it'll do just fine. read more

The staff at this particular Michael's location are the best in the area - they were very helpful with a defective Ott-Light I brought back twice (finally got one that worked). This is a smaller location than others in the area and sometimes the stock is iffy and they don't carry the full inventory that other locations do. However, they are willing to call other stores for stock they don't have. 5 stars for their staff. 3 stars for their inventory. This is one of my favorite Michael's even if I can't always find what I need. read more

Very poor customer service. Stay away from this Michaels, it's well worth the drive to shop at the one at Sunset Valley. Two employees argued with me back and forth about their glitter not being on sale. Their sign said their "embellishments" were 70% off. The glitter was sitting on the rack along with other embellishments....like washi tape. Apparently glitter is not an embellishment but washi tape is. Embellishment: a decorative detail or feature added to something to make it more attractive. I walked out totally embarrassed. read more

The staff is always friendly and things are kept clean. Some items remain out of stock for a while but it is understandable considering how small their store is. I usually come by in the evening and Mayra has always helped me. She was very nice. I plan on coming back for all my craft needs! read more

Hate this location, the people here are super rude and don't even know their own store policy. I go to the Michaels at Great Hills and Lakeline regularly. This store is nothing compared to those. It's an older one, but the employees are super snooty and always busy doing nothing to help you. I'd rather make the trip to the other ones than go here and get be-littled by the employees. read more

I'm a craft business owner and I have to say this location has been my go to. Mike, Terry, Tito and Adriana are so welcoming and helpful. Yes it's an older location but newly remodeled. New and big locations doesn't mean good service. Micheals On bee caves by the galleria is horrible and sterile. Oh! And this location ( west lake) there is ALWAYS someone you can ask for help. Preface: I love michaels. I've been going ever since I can remember but since I moved to Austin for college, I haven't been able to go because the nearest one is about an hour away by bus. But recently I was given an assignment that required me to get supplies. To avoid going all the way to michaels and them not having what I need, I ordered online for pick up. The only reason I gave them two stars is for the variety of stuff they have. Negatives: Other than that, the place isn't very organized and the lady who "helped" me with my online order was beyond rude for no reason. If you need to pick up an online order or get framing done do it from a different location so you don't have to deal with this woman. She took a long time to get my stuff and I waited patiently. She asked me if I had two orders and I told her that everything I ordered was on the counter. She then said in exasperation "it says here that you have another order and now I have to go back and look for it." And my response was "I made this in two separate orders" and she responded with annoyance "that's why I asked, you should've just said that" and I apologized and she actually shoved the stuff at me instead of handing them to me. End: That probably seems small to some of you, but I too have worked in customer service including at pharmacies where you get all sorts of crazy demands. But never have I shoved a product at someone. I understand if there was a line of people waiting that maybe an employee would rush the exchange but that was not the case and from now on I'll shop at a different craft store. read more

This is apparently the smallest of all the Michaels. They still pack their shelves and have a large supply of holiday decor and crafting supplies. If you're looking for a specific item it can be difficult to find a knowledgable staff member. A few times I've had to ask multiple employees because no one could give me a definite answer. I usually just roam the isles which can take a long time.... If you do go, get a coupon from their website online. read more

Absolutely wonderful! I got some framing done and John helped me. Honestly, in the future I'm just going to drop my stuff off and tell John to make it happen. He was such a great designer and he has an artist's eye. My picture looks like it could be hanging in any mansion. It helps that I got a $1000 framing deal for $300 with the discounts offered at the time. Allow time for the magic. It takes time and they do not rush customers to decisions here. Give yourself and others plenty of time. Be patient. You won't leave dissatisfied. read more

This is my favorite arts and crafts store! I go here at least once a week. Staff is great! Inventory is great!

DO NOT HAVE A BIRTHDAY FOR YOUR KIDS HERE. I had a birthday party for my 10 year old here and it was planned and on the books for a month. When I got there they were completely unorganized and the girl they put in charge had no idea what she was doing. They were not prepared at all and the girl in charge of my daughters party looked and acted like she hadn't slept and was on drugs. Aweful!!!! I had to run the party. read more

I think this Michaels is a waste of time! It is always dirty and there are not enough employees available when you have a question. I have a complaint and requested that a manager called me. When they called me the number was blocked . I don't answer blocked numbers. Why would a public store hide their phone number if they weren't hiding something else. read more
