I've been buying craft and gift items at this store for years but hubby and I used their framing services for the first time last month. Back in July a dear friend had a photo shoot for our golden group of friends and the print I had done needed custom framing due to the size. The young lady in the framing department helped us choose a frame and mat colors and I love that we were able to see what the finished product would look like via a computer program. I have to admit I was a bit taken aback at the cost ($199 with a 70% off coupon) but we've never had professional framing done before and were thrilled with the results. Our framing was done even earlier than promised and when we arrived to pick it up all the girls who worked there came out the meet the people with the "10 goldens in a truck" photo. Love how friendly and professional the staff is here, this will always be our first choice for our future framing needs.

It seems like every time I go into a Michael's there's only one cashier working and it takes unnecessarily long to check out. Why is that?

They are very kind. friendly and so knowledgeable easy to talk to. I believe I spoke with both sister (Laurel and Jess) on the day I went. Ok with that being said, let's start, this is a must shop to visit (it has everything you can think off) each room is filled with beautiful yarns, large selection of knitting needles, crochet hooks, notions and accessories. They have so many finish samples to get your brain flowing with great new ideas. My eyes were going in every direction in the most wonderful way. It felt homey and warm, they also have a table/room to teach you knitting, crochet, nedle felting, weavers and so much more. Prefect for a person who wants to learn about yarn craft and of course for us veterans as they have unique yarns I have not seen and prices are reasonable and true to the yarn brand. If you are not able to visit the store, they have a great website https://www.thespeckledsheep.com. PS if you go, do leave the family at home/hotel, because you will need time to enjoy it! I wanted to stay longer, but my boys (teens) kept coming in to get me out, lol. There is free parking in the back, you just need to walk a small hill to go in the front entrance. They also carry other beautiful items handmade by the locals.

For the insanely cheap price of $130 dollars or so i got to have two official knitting lessons and as much sit and knit as I could possibly want. I started in September when classes started again after the summer and pretty much went to every sit and knit I was entitled too go to every sat and sun from then untill I left DC to move to Cali in June 2014. I miss sit and knit and the expertise and friendships I made at this class. I not only got my monies worth but gained even more in friendship and life long skills. I made fingerless gloves, scarves (5 in total) a bear and am now working on a bedside mat. I believe some people have had some issues below which quite frankly leave me perplexed - How can something be a scam if you get your money back from groupon? This is a one woman show, which pretty much means if something comes up then things might not happen. Thats just the way it is when you run a small business by yourself. The number of times I witnessed people coming to class not reading what they needed to bring or where they needed to meet were so numerous and somehow this was never their fault. Take responsibility for yourselves please people. You are an adult!

I'm a self-taught knitter using books and the Internet. When I went to class explain what I want to do to Terri, and she helped me and I have been making much more complicated patterns since then. I go every Sunday when I can and I always have a great time & I met a great group of women in the process. I can't wait for the next project. Terri was very patient with my questions, sometimes the same one multiple times. If you forget your stitch markers, don't worry someone will have them.
