I went into Michael's searching for some 651 vinyl. I was told they have it here. I was unable to find it. I was also looking for decoupage napkins which I also didn't find. I called the store because I got tired of looking for someone to help me. The girl laughed when I told her I was in the Cricut section of the store. Michaels had an okay selection of yarns, but with only a few nice natural non-synthetic yarns. Though they don't have a lot of books, their knitting books (how-to's and patterns) were at least nicely organized so I could find what I wanted, unlike Joann's. read more

Waiting in line for 20 minutes to buy 2 items is ridiculous. So is only having 2 registers open when the line is wrapped around the whole store. Everything is so cramped and cluttered and people are constantly running into each other. Obviously no one manages this store. This has to be the worst and dirtiest store ever, and I think Walmart is cleaner than this store..that right there, tells you something!! I came here in here expecting to find a good collection for wedding supplies, and to my surprise, this store was a hot mess! it looked like they were going through construction! and the store itself is SO small! everything is cramped. Limited selections on items especially the wedding supplies, seriously there is only like one aisle for it! The center of the store was cluttered with 40% off fake plants/flowers mixed in with holiday things too. Just a whole lot of clutter! gave me a headache, I was in there for 5min and walked right out because I felt claustrophobic up in here! barely can walk around the store, without stepping on something or someone! My sister had her car stolen from here while shopping once. They do have security, but how well did that work in this case? Be cautious while parking, there are many TJ drivers who are careless as they drive by. The line is ridiculous. They have a good number of registers, yet they never open not even half of them. Expect to stand in line for 15-20 minutes. Make sure whatever your buying is worth the long wait. Their AC either does not work, or they just don't turn it on. It is blazing hot in here! Do not wear a sweater or jacket, you'll leave drenched. They are never fully stocked on anything The employees are clueless, not knowledgable about 90% of the products they carry. If you come here, come in the wee early morning, and bring the 40% percent off coupon or get it on your phone. Do not come in the afternoon, night, or on the weekends. Sometimes small items are hard to locate but that's because they have so many items. The salespeople are always cheerful about helping you locate what you are looking for. It's fun sometimes just to drop in and wander around looking things over. You can find some really great stuff that way. RE some of the comments about things being out of place, that's due mainly to customers who carry things around, then change their minds and set it down wherever they are instead of returning it to the right area. The salespeople try hard to keep it organized but it's hard for them to keep up. read more

Wow!! EXCELLENT customer service! I came in here and got helped immediately. They have a lot of variety of craft items and decor. There is usually always someone around to help as well. The woman, Crystal, at the checkout was so extremely nice I will never forget her! I went to Michaels yesterday to have a canvas stretched and put on a frame. It was fairly large and she quoted me $188.00 probably plus tax. I thought that was a little pricey so I left and went to Hobby Lobby. Not only are they going to put it on a frame they will also put foam between the canvas and backing and they are charging me a whole $109. So where would you rather go shopping? Michaels a little rip off I would say or Hobby Lobby that will treat you fair. read more

Average-sized store, organized in some departments but disheveled in others. The two stars are for the incompetent staff. I had a specific question about an extruder I could use for fondant or gum paste and the girls I approached had no idea what I was talking about, but recommended completely different tools that wouldn't have helped at all (like a rolling pin?!). Even after I thoroughly explained what I was trying to do, all they could do was stare at me confused, as if I were speaking a different language. *Sigh, useless. The sales here are great but the store cosmeticly is scary. There is way to much going on, no room in the isles. No matter where you are you are in someones way making the shopping experience unsavory. Keep in mind this is the christmas season so the store might not always look like this, so I promise to come back during a regular day and check it out then. read more

Michaels has a large selection of arts & crafts supplies BUT they seem to always run out of things & NEVER restock :( Lines always seem to be long and cashiers tend to be slow. The store is a mess especially if you go in the afternoon. Everything is on the floor and shelves are disorganized. Customers tend to pick something up and throw it back onto another shelf when they change their mind. Whenever I visit people are in the way and you have to hunt employees down for help. I wish I could give Michael's a higher review but it is what it is. read more

My sister and I frequent this Michaels for our knitting projects because it's the one closest to her house. It can get busy, but still well stocked with the yarn and needles we need. I loved the Takumi needles I got from here a while back. The Takumi circulars sucked, but I'll save that review for Takumi; not Michaels. I've also gone here for Christmas decor, and it comes out pretty cheap because Michaels has good deals. If you download their app on your phone, you can get the "40% off one item coupon" and some other ones they have. The only thing I hate about this one is that they don't have too many wedding-related products. I'd have to go to a different Michaels to check that stuff out. read more

The workers here are super helpful and was able to answer all my questions. The only reason why I'm taking off a star is for the clutter. This is an arts and craft store. One would think that the staff would know their inventory. Several times I have gone into the store and the staff don't know what I'm talking about. Tonight I simply asked about chipboard. No one knew what that was. Yet They carried it. When I pointed it out to them as I checked out purchasing other items, the clerk was less than happy with my input. I simply told her that the chipboard was located in a certain aisle and she barely even looked at me. She didn't even thank me for educating her. read more

Went for a curbside pick up today parked literally on the fourth parking lot spot closest to the store since they do not have designated parking for curbside pick up and on the app they say just to park close to the store and the lady with the fake butt was just standing at the door looking confused and clueless and she just stood there for about 8 mins looking around and talking to someone on her earpiece I COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT SHE DIDNT SEE ME I decided to get off the car once I got a confirmation text saying that I had picked up my order which I had not at that moment I thought she probably gave my things to someone else I had to get off my car with my 2 kids and as she saw me coming towards her she just stood there and didn't say nothing until I asked her is that my order? She said my name I'm like yes and she just gave me my stuff so that means she would have gave my stuff to anybody! I told her I was waiting outside literally pointed at my car that you can see even from inside the store and all she said was I DIDNT SEE YOU lady maybe you need to invest some money into some glasses instead of a fake butt UNBELIEVABLE the amount of effort this lady put into finding me literally just stood at the store front door and was talking to her co workers how she couldn't find a car that was right in front of her If you don't like your job go finish high school and get a better one ms.BBL lol read more

This is just an ok store. Very small compared to other michaels, and they don't carry nearly as many supplies.

If you thought standing in a DMV line was painful, try buying something at Michaels. The lines are usually very long (especially on the weekends) and the cashiers are as slow as molasses. I have rarely visited this store without a long line or a slow cashier. It's a shame that the customer service is lagging here as there aren't many craft stores in the Southbay. read more

This Michael's by far has the best customer service in southern California. I have been in search of mini wooden crates all over Southern California for 100 of them. Monica and the manager Jeff were amazing, they searched all over the store and were able to find some of the crates. Also, called other stores to place the crates on hold for my fiancé and I to pick up. read more

I've been to many Michaels stores, and clearly the company has decided to cram as much merchandise in this smaller, older store as it puts in its larger, newer stores. No wonder it's a crowded mess! Lines at any Michaels are always long and slow-- I wish I knew why (poor scheduling/staffing is my guess), but, as many have noted, the lines here seem extra long, maybe because they wind through that tiny store! read more

This place is horrible, they have a disaster in the store , the isles are so tight you can barley get a cart threw the isle. The lines are ridiculously long, advertisements on frames were a huge disaster. Then your told by the manager they would honor the sale then when you get to the register they don't want to honor it. If I didn't need the items I went for I would have left. I had to make 3 trips to the register because of the lack of organization of this place & on top of that the cashiers are rude and when you ask for help they don't even help you because the employees don't know anything. read more
