I had such a wonderful shopping experience at The Children's Place in Plaza Bonita Mall! Valerie was incredibly helpful and made sure I knew about every deal and promotion available so I could get the most for my money. She also encouraged my daughter to try on an outfit we doubted would fit--and thanks to her, we found the perfect size! Mariela was just as helpful and took the time to show us around the store and help us find what we needed. Valerie and Mariela truly set the standard for retail therapy support! Since all the children's place stores have gone out of business this is the "closest" to me and by that I mean it is a 30 minute drive of 17 miles away from me. I made the mistake of coming to this store on 2/14/25. I had no idea where it was in the mall (my bad they do have maps I just didn't check them) so I walked the whole length of the bottom floor and the whole length of the top floor dragging my 8 year old and dad who was visiting from out of town. The store is on the second floor near Macy's. I came to this store to return some of the items I bought online. I ordered my kid a 10/12 and they freaked out at how "big" they were. I didn't want to deal with reordering them so decided to return them. I had 5 items to return. The clerk told me a total and it seemed right. I got my receipt "emailed" (spoiler alert it never came!) and since I parked by Macy's I exited the mall. The whole time I could not figure out why the numbers seemed off to me. Once I got home I checked and even though I returned 5 items they only gave me money back for 4. No big deal right? Except they kept the 5th shirt. I had already schlepped down and back to this mall no way was I going again. I went online and filled out a customer service form. Waited the weekend, heard back they will give me my money back. Said it would take 3-5 days. Waited 3-5 days. It never came. Decided I am done with this company and drove down there again to return all the items from my order as I do not want to support a company that steals items and money from people. Second return went fine. I got money for all the items I returned. The store is super crowded (with stuff not people) the 2x I was in there within 1 month there was no more than 2 employees and never any one else shopping. Their clothes are cheap because they are low quality. The leggings and shirts are practically see through. I did keep one shirt sized 10/12 and it shrunk up super small (I washed it on warm permanent press and dried on low heat like I do any other new items purchased and have never had this happen). I will no longer buy from this company and thankfully because of that will not have to drive to this location again. I now have to do a charge back to get my money back since the store kept my item, did not refund me the money, corporate did not refund me the money. You get what you pay for (or don't) so beware. read more

I had the most helpful shopping experience in my local store thanks to Anaiza and Liz. I had an online return and desperately needed to exchange my items for my daughter's school uniform. I was worried couldn't get items online quick enough for her school start date. They pulled options in her size and helped me get it all figured out. They were friendly and helpful. The store was clean and organized. They professionally juggled customers who needed help making sure we were all taken care of thoroughly and timely. I loved the children's place! I raised two kids with clothes from here. I love their clothes! But I ordered clothes for my baby niece and I didn't receive my order. When I called them to tell them exactly that the rep said they would not be resending my $70 purchase/merchandise because it was marked delivered. He said to call the children's place credit card which is what I used to make the purchase. I called the credit card and they said they would open an investigation long story short they also denied my refund! So I contacted the post office and filed a claim and the post office denied my claim! This is bs! The post office swore the sender would replace my items when I spoke to the supervisor he even said he would send an email on his behave to explain that the package was never delivered to my door or even put in my box it was just left around the mailbox area but was not secured. As a customer of 15+ years I feel the children's place should've done better! I was just hit the oh well now pay your credit card bill for items you never received not our problem! read more

This store has very great sales and quality of clothes. I love that they sell school uniform all year long. I took advantage of their graphic t-shirts both short and long sleeve for my kid. The staff are very friendly and outgoing love their vibe. Had a positive experience if you got kids this is a great store to buy clothes for all seasons even uniforms. read more

I am writing this because I went to pickup my online order from this store today. Upon walking in I was highly displeased by the horrible mess that I seen. There were clothes piled on shelves and stuffed in areas. There were clothes on the floor and bins of clothes area. There was barely any walking room in between the clothes racks. The shoes and the jewelry were sloppy and unorganized. The checkout counter was covered in clothes and the workers appeared as though this was normal. I was able to take pictures of this horrible mess and will recommend that friends and family of mine visit other stores. I wanted to shop after retrieving my items. However, it was such an uncomfortable experience, I decided to go elsewhere. This is highly unacceptable and I hope that corporate does something to fix this major problem. read more

You know.....I'm going to start this review by saying I run a retail store. I know the ridiculous expectations customers put on retail workers who are attempting the do the best they can with little pay. I get it. I see it every day. I prefaced that to prove that I don't come here with high expectations. At all. However, this location is mis-managed on so many levels. If their district partners would put the right managers in place here, their business would sky rocket. They have the best deals in the mall (children's clothes) but fail to provide any sort of communication with customers. I walk in time and time again....nothing. No "hi". Nada. I ask if they can check items in the back. They tell me "their too busy". Let's not even start on the hot ass mess the store is. I can't even shop. No one recovers the tables. It's like a swap meet. Again, completely mismanaged. It's unfortunate I take my money to e-commerce and their online store. At least it's organized. read more

Besides the crowds, this children's clothing store has some major deals! I usually come here during Black Friday & just like any other store in the mall, it gets packed! But they tend to have a lot of people working, so the line goes fast. They have plenty of options compared to other Children's Place I've been too. read more

I've recently come to love this store to shop for my newborn niece. A lot of cute clothes & really good prices too. Bought some cute flower legging for only $5. And flower oberalls for only $10. They always have a sale going on. Signed up for their rewards program so they send me coupons to my email. The employees are nice & helpful. The girl who range up was real nice. I wish I could remember her name. Tall thin Hispanic girl. Only thing is it's too small & crowded. I kept bumping I to everyone else's stroller. Lol But I will definitely be back!! :D read more

Great clothes and prices. Sales prices help a lot. They gave us the sale price for an item that was placed with the sale accessories. Busy store and not enough associates, but that's okay because I don't expect much from Plaza Bonita stores. My favorite is still the CRAZY 8 at Otay Ranch Mall. read more

DO YOUR RETURNS BEFORE YOU BUY. Like the products, the clothes last long a long time. My mother in law gave me some shorts for the kids. Loved them but slightly too small so I went into the store to buy the right size and found loads of shirts that I liked and walked away with over 500.00 in excellent clothes. At the end of the day when we decided what to keep and what to return Children's place insisted on giving a gift card for the two pairs of shorts that were sightly too small that my mother-in-law had given me. I get that when you are just returning an item with no receipt but all the tags. My issue is that I had a receipt showing the 500.00 in purchases. I'd spent my money and had proof. If I had returned the shorts and than purchased it wouldn't have been a problem but I wasn't positive of the return until we had compared the larger sizes. I'm tempted to get all 500.00 worth of items and return. I just don't want to deal with there bad policy. I asked if I could bring products from home, return and repurchase. They said I would have to wait a day to repurchase because they have to inventory. Ridiculous. You know they have put policies in place to insure they have the best chance of you losing the gift cards (which I do all the time) - pisses me off! read more

Grouchy employees who hate working there. Once in a while I have to go there to buy what I need because the other stores are out of my size. I called the other day to see if hey had what I was looking for, they did but would only hold it for an hour. Really ONE hour only?? Ridiculolus! I'm gonig to call corporate office to see if this is store policy or "girl working that day" policy. Also, once I wanted dress that was on a mannequin, employee said they do not sell displays! It was the last one, my size on the doll, and she could not sell it?! why display it? I asked to speak to the store manager, she came out and guess what? She said it's okay take it off the mannequin and sell it. Oh, and buy clothes two sizes up from your childs size, they shrink. If you child is wide, don't buy, clothes run norrow. I buy TCP clothes for school and play, I don't care if they mess them up. Not my favorite place to shop. Update: I made a call to corporate offices they said the "hold for one hour" policy is not company protocol and they would look into this matter. They told me that they would call Plaza Bonita store and tell them to hold item for me until closing. I said no thanks, I don't want to go into that store again.
