Keep in mind we ate the minute we got home while things were hot and did not reheat items. Meat on the steak tips came out almost well on a medium order. Tough, overdone. The fish was also super dry. They try to hide the bad cook in a lot of breadcrumbs, which did nothing to save it. Same with my mom's piece of fish, very dry. The lemons were a joke. You can see in the photos some are OLD, dried out, SOUR, and don't even qualify as a garnish. To top it off, I found the top of the salad dressing bottle in my side of dressing, which wasn't even full. I guess the dressing is also not homemade. We won't be returning. Sad state of affairs here.

Heard so much about this place from a friend, we finally got to go…read more Due to the snow the place was empty, so we were seated right away. Our waiter was great, nice greeting, pita and butter as soon as we sat down. She loves prime rib so the choice was easy for her, I went with the lamb and shrimp. Food came out relatively quickly. Her prime rib was tasty, but tough. She tried all the sections of her huge cut, but she just couldn't enjoy it. My lamb chops were some of the best I've ever had, charred exterior, medium rare inside, just perfect! We told the waiter about the prime rib but he said if he brought another piece it would probably be the same, like he's been through this before. He asked if there was anything else she would like, but she declined. 10/10 on the lamb, 1/10 for the prime rib. We probably won't return. We were disappointed to say the least.

Thought of the Roma Restaurant that we heard was under new management and really good. My husband went in and asked if they were still open for dinner. They said yes that they closed at 9:00 and it was 8:45. I thought that was phenomenal because I can't tell you the number of restaurants say they're closing at a certain time and then when you go, they break the news that the kitchen closes a half an hour or an hour earlier. We went in and decided to eat at a high top in the bar because there was no one in the dining room because it was so late. I will say the dining room is very elegant. And...has cozy booths, which we love! Our server was Dodi who was very pleasant and accommodating. Ordered drinks. And just ordered our entrees right away knowing it was so late. My husband ordered Veal Parmesan and Ziti which was $30.00 and I ordered Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo which was $26.00. Very reasonable for the amount and quality you get. I always say, if you have to anything with an entree because you are not making the margins, go up on price...don't go down on quantity and quality. This place has done that. They brought out some crusty rolls that I believe were meant to be served warm, but weren't very warm, but considering the time, were good none the less. Our entrees came. I've got to tell you; my husband and I are the pickiest people you know. We will drive an hour to a restaurant. I don't like any restaurants in my close vicinity. My husband said this Veal Parmesan was the tenderest veal, a huge portion, and super delicious. As he was eating, he said we are definitely coming back here! The chicken in my Chicken Broccoli Alfredo was super tender! Usually, you get stringy chicken in these dishes which is cheap chicken. It came with fettuccine pasta which the next time I would change to ziti, for no reason except ziti is easier to eat. The alfredo sauce was freshly made from cream, not some globby pre prepared stuff. Very, very good. Nothing like years ago. If you haven't been to the Roma in a million years as we had, don't judge your past experience. Try them out! Very pleasant surprise and somewhere for us to go that isn't an hour away! I will tell you the only mistake the new owners made is in keeping the same name as the old Roma. The reviews on Yelp are mostly based on the old Roma which was a dump. If they insist on keeping the name, they should add something to it and get a new account on Yelp that reflects the new patrons reviews.

It's Time to jump into The TimeMobile & scour the Earth & take you to places from a different time that you won't believe still exist. We have set the dial to 1875 to the town of Haverhill MA. & Winnekenni Castle. Many people think that you have to jump the pond & visit Jolly Old England & The UK to see a Castle. Not True. America has many castles; unfortunately they are just not being promoted. This trip is less than 1 hour drive outside of Boston. Bring a Picnic basket, a water bottle & some good sneakers for an easy 20 minute nature walking hike. After your hike, head back to your car & pull out the picnic basket for a picnic on the green grass on the banks of the Lake. The inside of the Castle is Closed & is only open for Functions, Weddings & Special Events etc. Don't worry you will still be able to see the outside of the Castle close up, the Castle Grounds & lots of other cool stuff. Park your car at the bottom near the playground in the Parking lot or on the side of the road where the signs allow Parking. There are closer Free Parking lots on the way up but you will miss out on all the Adventure & The Winnekenni Castle Hike. So Park your car & follow the signs on Castle Rd. up to the Castle. There are multiple trails & if you like hiking & are more adventurous you can go for several miles all around the Lake. We're going to do an easy trek - a 20 minute hike up & lots of natural settings to see. You will travel along the dirt trails along the lake shore & up the hill to the Winnekenni Castle. THE HISTORY Winnekenni Park Conservation Area is 700+ acres that overlooks the Kenoza Lake which is Haverhill's primary drinking water source. Dr. James R. Nicola built the Castle between 1873 & 1875. He was inspired by the stone structures & castles he visited in England. This was his former residence that he used as a summer home. It is not a huge Castle but modest in size but beautiful. Speaking of Beautiful, the word Winnekenni is taken from the Algonquin Dialect meaning Very Beautiful. C Willis Damon was the Haverhill architect who designed this Magnificent Castle. In 1875 the city of Haverhill purchased it along with some additional land in later years. Besides nature walking & jogging, you can do bicycling, cross country skiing in the winter months, horse back riding & other activities. Like I said The Castle is open for Private Special Events. There is no tour here. They also have Special Public Events every so often that they open the Castle up & are either reasonably priced or even Free sometimes. Check the website for further details & upcoming events. You can check out my other review about Winnekenni Park also. There are picnic tables & benches here or just put a blanket on the green grass & Chill. There's even a Playground Area with Swings, a Slide etc here for Kids. So have a great time exercising, explore & learn about the great outdoors on your adventure, see a castle & have a fun picnic on the green grass on the outskirts of the lake. And guess what? IT'S ALL FREE! It used to be, you had to have Mega Bucks & be Really Rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

this is a really nice place to checkout! would recommend overall --there's some nice paths and…read moreviews. on the busier side.

There were numerous logistical failures while we were at Launch. When we arrived, we noticed that our reservation start time was listed on their check in screens for the wrong time. We notified staff that it was the wrong time and they said no big deal. Well, it turned into a big deal when they ran out of space for birthday parties starting after ours and they were trying to kick us out of our party room. They also ran out of pizza- they had to order pizza for our only our party from Domino's. They said it was from Domino's, but it tasted like the worst Domino's pizza we ever had in our lives. Something you don't want to happen at a kids birthday party is to run out of pizza- there will be a mutiny. We had booked our party months in advance- how poorly managed are you to not have enough dough, cheese and sauce to make enough pizzas for the booked parties. They also ran out of silverware, napkins and knives to cut cakes. While we were cutting our cake, the staff came in our party room and just took the knife from us as we were using it and gave the party room next door. After we finished cake, they were trying to rush us out because they ran out of party room space. It's their fault they had our time listed wrong- I showed them my confirmation email listing the correctly booked time. What a waste of time and money.
