I am much less of a Michael's addict now that my primary medium is clay- BUT, I will always love Michael's. I get coupons and vouchers occasionally- but I simply love going in for seasonal goodies! Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday- so I am always down to sprint to all the stores when Halloween merch drops! This one is clean, and easy to find all of your goodies! I don't shop much at Michaels, but I was in search of adhesive putty to hang a background piece for a small gathering. I was able to order the putty online for curbside pick up which was very convenient. I ordered the putty in the midday and the order was ready was done within minutes. I also was able to utilize a 20% coupon online which is alway a plus. When I came to pick up, I was able to notify the store that I was doing curbside by calling. Poor communication and customer service. I order 3 custom frames for original artwork. I was quoted 5/23, received a call 5/22 to say the wrong stretchers were ordered. I called 2 weeks later to check status, still was not ready. I called today to find out they were ready. I pick up my order to find out they were ready 6/3 but no one called to let me know. I will not recommend your company due to dissatisfaction with this experience. One of the paintings was a birthday present being presented a whole month later! Unacceptable! read more

I have been going to Michael's for years and this has to be the worst one I have been to. When walking in the store there was employees standing around just talking and blocking the walkway and when there was a problem with my coupon that I got from the website the cashier tried to get the manager to come up front but I could hear her on the radio just tell the customer we can take the coupon. I got no help and went to Walmart and got a better version of what I wanted for less money and it was the same brand. read more

When I'm feeling crafty, this is where I come. I'm not really *that* crafty of a person. I just wan't born with that innate ability. I keep hoping some of Allie A.'s craftiness will rub off on me! Haha! But, I do enjoy cross-stitching and scrapbooking and they have everything I need here. The store is extremely well organized. I can usually find everything I need without having to search for assistance. When I do need assistance, it can sometimes be difficult to find because they really need to have more employee working, but the customer service I have received has always been excellent. All of the employees are really friendly. If they are busy, checking out can be a pain and you'll need to have your patience handy. Often they only have one register open and it can take a while. Hobby Lobby is going to be opening at River City Marketplace in the near future, so this Michael's is going to have some competition. read more

This Michaels is very large. It has almost anything you would need for a project from cake decorating to soap making, scrapbooking and flower arranging. I have gotten a good amount of things here for scrap books and my family has gotten a lot for candle and soap making as well as items to make coasters and trivets. There is always something new to discover here. The staff is friendly and can be helpful. They also have coupons available which I really like. The store has so much stuff that it looks disorganized but is actually one of the better laid out Michaels around town. It also doesn't feel dark inside. I only knocked off a star because they do seem to be a bit more expensive than other craft stores and they never have enough cashiers open so the line can get fairly long. read more

I love coming to this location now. Years ago I wouldn't be able to say that and would literally go way across town to go to Michael's on the south side of town. They usually are well stocked here and if something isn't in stock I could find it quickly with the help of an associate or through the app making an online purchase so that I could just pick it up in the store when it gets there. read more

There was only one cashier on duty (but I counted 2 people sweeping) and a very long line of customers waiting to check out. Huge store with plenty of stuff to look at and you shouldn't have a problem finding anything you need for your project. One thing you will find is that you will now have many projects once you see everything they offer. Ideas will start flowing and you will find yourself looking at things you had no intention of looking at, or more surprising things you didn't know were even available. Don't go in there right before closing because you will run out of time. We went to find a frame for an art piece. They have a huge variety of frames & sizes. They also have a nice custom frame shop in the back. If you don't want to pay the higher price they can give you ideas and recommendations. Only complaint might be some of the people aren't the friendliest...at least not at closing time trying to round everyone up and get them out of the store. read more

Don't ever believe me if I say I'll only be a couple of minutes in this store. Too many things vie for my attention here. Not wanting to be rude, I give my attention to them all. Nov 09: Went to Michael's to return a few craft items but did not have my receipt with me. I've been buying up supplies for some projects and didn't have the time to run home and get it. They gave me a store credit, which was no problem. The problem: They now have a corporate policy for returned items without receipts, for store credit -- they charge 15% on each item that is returned. You might want to think twice about returning an expensive item without the receipt. Although the store is stocked with its usual craft items, and I've never had any problems finding what I'm looking for, I'm only giving them 3 stars because they NEVER have enough cashiers on duty. read more

I love this Michaels. They seem to have everything I need. Sometimes the line is a bit long but I think it might be because shoppers don't have their coupons up on their phone. The staff is helpful and most items are usually in stock. I really enjoy the craft kits for the little kids. I buy them for my grandson and they are also quite reasonable.
