I had to get a battery for a watch today 10/28/23. when I noticed Michael's Jewelers on my way to another appointment. That jewelry store stunk. The person who changed the watch battery mumbled like crazy. I agreed to her price for the battery. Rather high. When the crewperson gave me my watch back, she said something totally confusing and nonsensical. She mistyped my telephone number on my receipt. DUH. Then, the store manager started bugging the hell out of me. Jeez. Another sales person was normal - thank God. I will never go back. I was exhausted mentally by all the jerks. Please quote me in your Christmas catalogue that Beckers Jewelers and Gem Jewelry are better and more intelligent. Go there sometime to observe how a quality jewelry store does business. read more

So extremely happy with the quality of service and diamonds! Michaels Jewlers has a wonderful display of jewelry fit for everyone, on any budget, while this is nice it seems like everywhere you turn or go there is a jewelry store however Michaels Jewlers in Bristol outshines them all! I was a customer year back and I hadn't been in for years because life just happens. I went into the Bristol store for a quick question a few weeks back and the sales woman Leslie helped not only answer my question but went above and beyond! Leslie helped pick out a wedding band and was able to get in samples of the size diamonds I wanted in the type of band I wanted. She responded to every phone call and email promptly and professionally. She made the process so easy! Leslie is a true asset to the company as a whole. My fiancé and I will be back for the wedding band event come March and are very much looking forward to working with Leslie again. Everyone at this store has been amazing. When I have called and Leslie was not in or available the other staff are just as accommodating. When I called to say I would pick up the ring 2 min before the doors closed, none of the staff seemed annoyed or anxious to get me out of the store so they can go home. read more

UPDATE 2: 1/1/19 We have come to a solution and the Michael's family has been very apologetic and generous. They have refunded me the value lost on my ring, they have refunded the money I paid to initially get it fixed, and they have given me a very generous gift card to the store. They have ordered me a new setting that will be here in 5 weeks or so, but in the mean time, they have fixed mine again. They had someone make a special trip to the waterbury store to hand deliver my ring so I had it in time for Christmas, and are working with me to complete our agreement. I appreciate the Michael's family for taking the time to turn a terrible situation around. read more

I cannot speak for the other locations, but the ladies in this store were so rude and unhelpful when I brought in my watch to see if they could replace the battery. I would also like to point out that I went during my lunch break on a Thursday afternoon when not a single customer was in the store. I will never step foot in here again. read more

Just went to Michael's to get mine and my hubby's wedding rings cleaned. We were greeted with smiles and convo by all staff working this afternoon. Some jewelry stores require a small fee for s cleaning but Michael's didn't charge anything and didn't push a sale on us either- LOVE IT! read more

After going to a few places in West Hartford to look at engagement rings, we decided to come back to Bristol and check out Michael's. We walked in right around the time they were supposed to close but the girls inside assured us that it was not a problem and welcomed us inside. Turns out they were open later due to Valentine's Day but it was still nice to be so warmly welcomed! I have to say, after comparing the items in the other stores we went to, Michael's had the best selection of diamond rings out of the three. The jewelry was beautifully displayed and the woman we worked with was very patient and listened to what I was looking for. She wasn't pushy and she was VERY helpful! She wasn't trying to rush us at all and a plus was that the store was not overly busy when we were there. I did have to wait 12 days for my ring to be ready (which was torture lol!!) but I am at ease knowing that they took their time to get it perfect. I also have to say that their prices were very good compared to some of the other stores we looked at, even after the fact. read more
