I came in for two reasons, to have a new watch strap put on and window shop for timepieces. Before going towards the back of the store I passed cases on cases of jewelry for both men and women. I had to remind myself to focus and that I would return as my watch was being repaired. As I waited for my watch to be repaired I talked to one of their sales reps about their different watches. He was personable and he asked key questions to bring me closer to a watch that worked within my budget. After only 5 or 10 minutes, one of the employees had come towards the front with a smile, delighted to deliver my "new" watch. I drove off with a feeling of being as valued as a Baume & Mercier timepiece buyer. Sure enough with that kind of service, I'll be back to Rumanoff's for bigger purchases. read more

I went there recently to purchase an engagement ring for my girlfriend. I read all of the reviews about this jewelry store so I figured I would give it a chance. I walked in and was greeted very nicely by Jen. She was very patient with me and explained everything to me because I honestly knew nothing about the process. I went there with a picture of a ring and she was able to show me exactly the ring I was looking for. I truly couldn't have asked for a better person to explain everything to me. So you're probably wondering what went wrong.. I started talking prices which when they gave me prices it was a bit high so I asked if they would be willing to work on the prices. They seemed very hesitant about it but said they could try working a deal on a diamond but not a ring setting because they needed to make money.. I found that odd because every other store was willing to work on discounting the entire item whether it was the diamond or the ring. I understand some brands cannot be discounted so other stores were willing to take a little more off the diamond to make it all work out in the end.. But I guess not this store. So I decided to keep shopping around with the information they gave me about the items I wanted. I went to a few other stores and saw that this stores price was higher than other stores. So if you like paying for the experience and not interested in looking around, then this is your store. After posting this, I have been e-mailed by one of the owners (Doug) asking me to take this post down. He has been extremely rude and disrespectful. All I am saying is when buying something nice, do your due diligence and make sure you're getting the best price. I wish I could have had a better experience with this company, but unfortunately i didn't. I worked with Leslie and the Rumanoff's team to get an engagement ring for my fiancee (now wife) in early 2013. I had already shopped for a ring at Steven Singer Jewelers in Philadelphia and found the type of diamond and setting that I wanted. Rumanoff's was extremely accommodating in helping to match my needs. Case in point, the setting that I saw in Philly was by Gabriel and even though Rumanoff's didn't carry that line, they loved the setting so much that they ordered it for me and continue to sell that particular line of rings. As for the diamond selection, I got to see many incredible diamonds before picking the perfect one. When it came to price, Rumanoff's was superior to Steven Singer. After telling Steven Singer what I was being offered by Rumanoff's, Steven Singer dropped his price significantly but still could not match Rumanoff's. The important thing that made me decide to buy from Rumanoff's is that they offered me the best price they could from the very beginning. This trend has continued when purchasing my wedding band and my wife's wedding band. They always gave us the best prices they could. After getting to know this family-run shop over the past 18 months, there is definitely a family feeling among its employees and customers. I always get a warm greeting whenever I show up. Jen was amazing and helped us pick out the perfect ring setting and the diamond; and had it ready for us in record speed for our vacation. The owner came out and wrote down dinner recommendations for us in Aruba! The entire staff was congratulating us and they even held the ring for us until we could properly insure it! He had been in communication with Doug for a while prior to physically visiting the store, so Doug already knew about our price range and my personal taste. He respected our price range and didn't show me any settings or diamonds that he knew I'd love, but would go far beyond what we are comfortable spending. Usually walking into a jewelry store is high pressure, pretentious, and you feel unwelcome "just browsing". That is NOT at all the experience you'll have at Rumanoff's. We visited this past Saturday and had one of the best retail experiences we've ever had. While the store was busy due to a special event they were hosting, we were immediately greeted by two employees, offered a variety of different beverages (and snacks!), and were actually encouraged to browse! Upon meeting Leslie, our experience went from great to FABULOUS! My husband had called ahead and asked them to hold a specific piece of jewelry, however Leslie was beyond happy to show us anything (and everything!) we were interested in. In fact, at one point, we probably had 20+ pieces out and she was working to find us more! After spending 2+ hours working together, we were down to 2 amazing rings; one a beautiful estate piece, another a custom order. At no point during the tough decision making did Leslie pressure us into making the more expensive choice. She actually went WAY above and WAY beyond ensuring we'd LOVE whatever purchase we made! It's clear that this family run business (of which we met and worked with all the family members during our visit) prides itself on making its customers feel like a part of the Rumanoff family! I had an issue with my engagement ring being slightly too big and I was very nervous to give it away for a bit to be resized.... Doug and his team made us feel so comfortable that the ring would be in great hands and that re-sizing the ring would not damage it in any way.
