They are getting rid of most of their yarn at all Michaels Stores . It is difficult to find a good yarn store these days. Very disappointed about the selection of yarn now. read more

I really don't understand the bad reviews for the Millbury Michaels! I have been to this store 3 times at this point, and besides one cashier (who is nuts), everyone and everything about the store is great! The lines aren't out of control (even today, on a Saturday before Christmas), the organization is right on target, and the selection (especially the holiday area) is superb! They accept JoAnn or AC Moore coupons (as all Michaels do), which is also a help, and also have great gift-giving ideas, custom framing, and every other aisle possible for any sort of arts and craft project. Besides that one annoying employee, this store is very good. I will be returning during my long treks out to the Shoppes @ Blackstone Valley. 5 stars. read more

I LOVE this store! Got 40% off a pencil by number kit, and it arrived at my home several days before it was supposed to from Fort Worth, Texas. Yet I'm having trouble getting mail from far more local senders; go figure. I get some pretty good discounts as a member, and find the personnel to be helpful and friendly. Could have bought a soda while waiting at the register had I known the nice cashier would take 50% off my purchase. Will definitely be a regular shopper at this store. read more

The shelves of this Michael's were as bare as if the local crafting community had been stocking up for the Rapture (you know you can't take your knitting with you, right?). It was a busy evening, yet most of the store's staff appeared to have been Raptured away as well. The sole employee I found ("left behind" at the cash register) was unable to answer a basic question about the embroidery floss--damned by ignorance, obviously. As a result, when I got home I discovered the materials I had bought would not work for the project I bought them for. This store may be one of the lesser circles of hell. The Michael's in Sturbridge is much better. read more

Let me start by saying O.M.G the staff was absolutely deplorable to a customer with her 2 children who looked to be buying things for ...who knows school projects or a box fort. Whay ever they had a good bit of items. Now forget about the customers giving grief for her trying to make them honor there clearance price as marked. The disgusting manager by the name of cathy called this woman highly challenged outloud across the store.....i hope this woman finds a lawyer and files a law suit against this store. I was disgustingly embarrassed for this woman. I meen to ask a store to honor there advertised price to save 3-4$ and get called highly challenged. The embarrassment this lady must have fealt. I cant imagine. Gross characteristics from manager cathy. I will be watching local media to see the lawsuit that gets filed. Cant wait to see cathy justify herself. Be very careful about purchases that you make online and then pick up in the store. I just drove from Worcester to Millbury to pick up an online purchase that I was notified by email was ready and waiting for me, and I was given note cards in a different quantity AND size than I had ordered. The same thing happened to me at the Michael's in Sturbridge a couple of years ago. Apparently, the staff who pick the items off the shelf cannot read and have no comprehension of numbers. This cost me a lot of time and now I have to go back and make an exchange in person. You're SO much better off ordering online and paying for delivery, if you can, but this item wasn't available online, only at the stores. So if you DO need to order something online for store pick-up, don't accept the item until you have had a chance to inspect it yourself, because they'll just hand it to you in a closed bag. read more

I went to this Michaels twice, once with y friends to buy paints for her and macrame cords for me and the other time with my mom to buy yarna nd to look for fleece. Both times I was absolutely appalled by the lack of materials they have in store and the non-existence of employees. It seemed like Michaels only employed a few casheers and one other employee who skulked around and had no idea what they were talking about. When I asked if they carried macrame boards, I was told that they don't carry any macrame materials. How could you be a crafting store and not have cors for macrame. The only materials they have were a bare selection of paracord, leather lace and hemp. They didn't have fleece in stock, and their yarn selection was a lot more extensive than say Walmart, but nothing really interesting to pique my interest. Over all, the worst crafting store I've ever been to. If you need crafting supplies, go to Joann's or even better, online. read more
