    Vintage poster purchased in Maui.

How long has it been since you really had fun in a store? Sure, most store clerks are both polite and helpful. But fun and over the top knowledgeable, no. Enter Nancy at the service desk for picture framing at Michael's . She was terrific. I had purchased a lovely vintage poster of a very charming girl. From framing to matting, her suggestions were amazing. We just had so much fun together on this "very important" project. Our exchange ended with a thorough discussion ( no one was waiting in line ) about what the girl in the should be named. We decided on Miranda. I will spare you the details of this decision. Nancy is a true treasure for Michael's in Oceanside, Ca. I don't know what she is paid, but it's not enough.

Overall not a bad place to come if you are into making shit, creating shit or looking for shit to do! I came here 2weeks ago when it was Halloween & they had a great sake going on for all the spooky stuff. Lines were ridiculous but what do you expect for Halloween! I'm back today for some frames and they are a little pricey but the selection is brilliant! Overall good to go! P.S. Parking Sucks!!!

Every time I've gone in, he's been extremely helpful and attentive, more than willing to answer any questions one might have about the hobby. He's a super friendly and welcoming guy, and can chat things up with an experienced player, or a newcomer just as easily. You definitely won't feel intimidated coming here as a first-timer. The selection is extensive--it's a Games Workshop/Warhammer flagship, after all. There are books, paints, and of course, miniature models! The value of the items is determined and set by Games Workshop, which tends to be on the spendy side--but if you're into the hobby, you already know that going in. My only complaint about the store (but not quite enough to remove a star) is that it opens at 11 am, but he usually takes a lunch break around noon, and is back, generally, by 1 pm. There have been several times where I've driven to the store, and gotten there a little bit after noon, and either had to wait around for an hour, or just decide to come back on a different day. Overall, it's a great store, and one of the only dedicated Warhammer stores in North County SD. Check it out!

So far the things that I've needed I've always have no problem finding them available here. They seem to be quick to get holiday items out, which is nice. I know people shiver when they see the Christmas things being pulled to the floor early, but it's nice to get a Headstart on shopping for decorations. One thing I wish they had is more floor staff and friendly ones to match the ones working at the register. I think the prices are reasonable, very reasonable. Parking is plenty full. It does get crowded, but there is still plenty of parking. You will find me back here shopping.

Nothing says "crafting vintage" like holding up the line while repeatedly trying to pay with a phone that never stood a chance.‍ Come for the deals. Stay for the cardio.

Market value on this item was $180, he said the price is $190 so I proceeded to ask if that was market value and where he got that number from, so when I double checked his pricing, he got an attitude with me and told me that he is firm on the market price that he just made up. I know it's only $10 and I honestly was still going to buy if market was truly $190, but he lied to me and thought that I was just gonna take his word. Like I said, Ninja Exchange is a dope place where I've done a lot of business, but this vendor might be out to scam some people out of their money by lying to them about the actual market price. If you do plan on purchasing anything from that vendor, double check the market value. He might be trying to screw you out of your money like he did with me.

I'm getting back into Pokémon cards after collecting as a kid. Now I'm grown, have some money to spend, and figured it would be fun getting back into the hobby. Obviously I don't know every single thing about card conditions, pricing, sets, etc. yet. They had a card for $52. I looked it up and found one for $33, so I offered the guy $45. Seemed reasonable to me. What I DIDN'T notice was that the $33 card was listed as heavily played. My bad. I didn't know. I'm still learning. Instead of just saying, "Hey man, that $33 one is heavily played, ours is in much better condition, that's why it's $52," this dude looks at me like I just tried trading him a Caterpie for a Charizard and goes: "Why would I do that? That's my price. That one is all fucked up." BROTHER I DIDN'T KNOW. Then he basically tells me next time I need to learn and do my research before trying to make deals. Damn Professor Oak, my fault. I thought I walked into a card shop, not my final exam at Pokémon University. The funny part is I WASN'T trying to lowball the guy. I legitimately thought $45 was a fair offer based on what I had found. All he had to do was explain the difference and I would've been like, "Oh shit, okay, that makes sense." Instead he made me feel like an idiot for not knowing something. Then another guy walks in who obviously knows his Pokémon cards and suddenly the employee evolves into his final form. Now he's friendly, talking cards, buddy-buddy, having a great time. I'm standing there like damn, apparently I need 8 gym badges before customer service gets unlocked. Maybe the AC being ass had him irritated. Maybe he was hungry. Maybe Team Rocket stole his lunch. I don't know. But the customer service today was TERRIBLE. And that sucks because I actually like this store. I've spent hundreds here and specifically come here because I want to support a local mom-and-pop shop instead of buying everything online. Not everybody walking into a card shop is going to know everything about Pokémon. Some of us are getting back into something we loved as kids and finally have adult money to spend on it. Instead of making those customers feel stupid, teach them something. I promise you, we're probably the easiest people to sell cards to.
