Selection isn't very wide ranged. Any time I need anything from there I go yo this location due to convince. I recently bought a very expressive frame, it was already damaged but there wasn't any other I could trade it for, not could I get a discount. Not enough people working the cash registers. More than half of them are closed, even though the line is literally to the door. I've spent five times longer in line than I actually do shopping. What's more, I found a coupon online, but the cashier didn't want to honor it, saying that she needed a barcode. When I was ready to leave the items, though, she suddenly pulled out a newspaper version of the coupon. She said she wasn't supposed to, but that she would scan this coupon in for me this one time... Really? If you're not supposed to do it, then why do you have it? Presumably, if you're not supposed to do it, then all of your customers would bring in their own coupons, rendering your own necessary... Turns out, the item was on sale already (didn't see it at the aisle, though), and therefore the coupon doesn't apply. The online coupon did NOT say it was restricted only to full-price items, so that was doubly irritating. read more

Clean store and not so cluttered. I have seen this place around Christmas time and it is very cluttered. It is a little pricy for certain items, buy they have a lot of sale items. You can also download the app and get additional coupons. They have a large variety of items for home decor and DIY projects. None of the employees in passing asked is for help when we were searching around for items, but we were more than capable of finding stuff. It's just something that would add to the shoppers' needs. read more

We all love michaels... What we don't love is the long check out line, the lack of actually using the AC and when you do have a question, it's as if you just asked them to come clean your toilet! It's michaels, I mean it's not that hard to help someone pick out a sharpie. Speaking if sharpies... Is there no trust in humanity at all anymore?!? They are all keep behind the counter and you have to ask to get to them!! Seriously people?! Disappointed . Bathroom is always clean though, and that's important to me. read more

I guess "Meh" is probably the right sentiment. I certainly haven't had a horrific experience here, but I have never had much of a good one either. About 75% of the time I can't find what I am looking for and the employees are less than enthusiastic to help you try. To quote the gentleman on my last visit "it should be on aisle X". To which I replied, "yeah I checked there and didn't see it". Followed by his A+ answer of "well then I don't know what you want me to tell you". He then went on to turn his back on me, start arranging a shelf and mumbling about how "idiots never put shit back where they are supposed to". The selection is average and the aisles are usually a mess. Perhaps if I had just ONE experience where someone smiled and asked if they could help me find something, I would bump up the rating. The staff is outstanding when it comes to being able to answer questions! Several times I have been here, and needed help brainstorming a project, there has always been a person to help me figure it out! However.... the hard part is when you are trying to find someone, it can be frustrating at the amount of STUFF in the store that prohibits you from moving freely, the aisles can be pretty jammed with product and people. I also have never had the experience of there NOT being an at least 10 minute wait to check out. It's frustrating that it seems like even though they have multiple lanes open... it still takes forever!!!! But all around good selection of product and customer service when you need it, makes me give this place a 4 star review! read more

This store is pretty great for the crafty people of the world. So many ideas for do it yourself projects too. They have lots of registers open now for the holiday season. It can be challenging trying to get a clerk to help find something in the aisles. I rarely see an available employee. read more

Went in store to shop holiday sale... Noticed their signage was not showing same sale as posted online and on ad. Went home... Verified online. Called store to ask about it... First associate to answer said "yes, wait no, hold on let me as manager" I was put on hold them another associate picked up rudely and I explained I was waiting for the other girl to ask manager a question.. She replied "well they told me to pick up phone and talk to you so what do you need?" Umm ok. So I explain again asking if they'll honor the sale posted online and in ad.. I was told "that sale begins tomorrow" I point out "I'm looking at the ad, it says it ends today"... She rudely says "no it starts tomorrow" ok.. Fine. So next day comes.. Guess what? Sale EXPIRED the day I went to store and called and tried to purchase. Way to keep informed associates and managers Michaels. read more

Very disappointing experience here. They have lots of sales... On over-priced items or stuff no one wants. The framer seemed to go out of her way to be rude. The over-priced final product looked cheap. Definitely won't be going here again. read more

Friendly staff, clean interior. Typical design with super bright fluorescent lights and that distinctive grandma aroma upon entering. Narrow corridors make it difficult to use a cart. Their carts also have little antennas that prevent you from aking them out of the store...so if you have heavy or unwieldy load, you need to find the special cart without the antenna. read more

Even as the holidays get closer and the store was overly packed, this store has a great amount of friendly staff who acknowledged us. The store was clean and the front end employees opened more registers as the lines got bigger. Lots of clearance items (who doesn't love that?!) + valid coupons that aren't hard to find = happy customers! read more

Went here during the holiday to find stockings. Ample product available and it was easy to find up front. They had these bargain baskets available which helped with the stocking stuffer shopping. Thought the place could've been tidied up a bit, but it was a couple days before Christmas and it's understandable to be a little short-handed. read more

I have a love/ hate relationship with this store. I love it so much I can go in for one thing and leave with $100 dollars worth easily. It is usually really well kept and shelf are full. My hate with this store ( besides the easy $100 I blow) is that there is always a huge line and never enough cashiers. They will come up to ask or answer a question & then walk away again. Michael's is my favorite store to go too but I am not so happy with this Michael's in particularly because of the employees. The Employee's here are a hit or miss, I either get one who is very helpful & attentive or I will get some rude employee & who is unhelpful. Walked in confused. Did not know where to go and what to ask for. I explained what I needed to a clerk and bam. She helped me decide on colors and how she thinks it work best. (I was making sleeve holders for my daughter's soccer team. ) She even got on a super high ladder to get the exact ribbon thing I needed. i will definitely be back here during Halloween. read more

It's great to find $1 crafts for kids at this store. I prefer giving them away as souvenirs for my son's upcoming birthday party rather than buy candies. There are lot of stuff at this place that can keep my toddler busy for hours. read more

Rude costumer service!!!! I went to return 2 items that broke on me & only had for a week. The manager try to say you can't just brake stuff & try to return them. Looks like you tried to use pliers to fix it. Are you serious? I explained to him that I use these razors on glittter paper like your employee said it would work on & they broke on me that quick. I would understand if I had them for a month or so but a week come on. I'm not going to purchase something that brakes within week. Never shopping at Michaels again. I personally think this store is awesome, and i dont understand all the negative reviews. Every time i shop here the staff is very friendly and informative. The store is nicely put together (although sometimes they move things around so its hard to find a particular item) The associates always help inspire me when i need help on project ideas or just a little motivation. And on top of that, they let u use 40% & 50% off coupons, which is always deducted from the most expensive item! WIN! I would recommend this place to anyone. And by the way, this comment is for Clark: you're angry because they wouldnt allow u to go into the breakroom to buy soda, but there are TWO water fountains right outside of the breakroom. you could have drank water and then bought soda else where. I work at a department store myself, and customers are not allowed in any employee break room for liability reasons. thats kind of obvious. get over yourself. read more

Today they have Stratmore 300 pads on sale. However they have virtually none in stock at five of my local stores. One has none, one has one, another has one....the Oceanside store told me that they open at 10 and I called at 20 till ten. They could not help me by finding out if they had any in stock. However All of the other stores I called before that did help me and were extremely nice. Emily at Oceanside could not go look for me. Before I drive 25 miles to a store I need to know if they have the product they advertise. read more

I spent about 30 mins looking for air dry clay before I finally gave up and asked a lady standing at the front door. She directed me to an isle, but I still could not find air dry clay, only oven bake. So I went back to ask for her help again, and she sent me right back to the isle with a smirk on her face. I still couldn't find the clay I needed so I let her know and she still made no effort to help me or even act like she cared so I put back my arm full of things I was going to buy. I'll just go somewhere else where hopefully I'll find someone willing to help me find what I'm looking for. read more

LOVE this location! I appreciate that this is a HUGE store! There is a ton of selection here and the workers are helpful/attentive. There is just about anything you need including the classes offered for kids and adults. There are many times on the weekends when this location is busy so get ready for the lines. read more

They are not knowledgeable about their products either so dont even bother asking. The only reason I keep coming back is because of their coupons. Went here last night and it was a little crazy. There was an associate that I asked for help and he seemed seriously stressed out but he helped me get my tree skirt anyway. I asked for help from other associates for a price check and they were nice too. There's a lot of stuff in here but it seems to be pretty organized.
