Needs a person reorganized and make room for excessive inventory! And make sure there are cashiers!

So I came to the store a couple of times and there's always this girl at register that's slow and rude. I believe her name is "Georgia" worst customer service ever.. I had to wait on line to pay for 2 items for about 10 minutes.. there was literally 1 person in front of me.. why does she even work there? She was also trying to get me to sign up for stuff for like 10 minutes after I said no like 5 times. I don't understand. read more

I would like to first start this review by letting viewers know, I am not a complainer and I give each and every business numerous chances and I try my best to not bash any business. Read my other reviews for proof :) I have no filter.... At all with this one ... 1. One time both my boyfriend and I were trying to get help from the employees and when we finally found an employee to help they ignored us and continued flirting. 2. Another time we literally had to scream and whistle to get an employees attention and a customer actually helped us and gave us a coupon so that we didn't have to pay full price for such horrible service. 3. Today employees held up a whole line to wait while a lady called her boyfriend on the phone to ask where her wallet was instead of putting that purchase on hold and/or opening up another register. We ended up tossing what we had in our hands to go across the street to staples. 4 Everytime we are lucky enough to get some type of customer service, they always have no clue of what we need, do not know where it is in the store or send us to a random aisle to find it ourselves rather than just leading us and grabbing the item. There are many more times, but I don't have time to sit here at the moment but I'll be back ;) For graphic design class the professor gave me a list of supplies, for fashion classes I need to get supplies and at times everyone needs supplies for some reason at some point. So where does one go ? Michaels .... With the expectation that the people that work here will offer nothing but the best customer service and have knowledge of items and materials that the store they work for carries. Like everything else in this shopping plaza...complete mess. The employees are always too busy chatting with each other to notice they have a line. The store always looks like a mess. Unless you're desperate, don't bother. read more

This arts and crafts store was alright. It had many items to choose from, but there weren't many staff around. I kept looking around the store trying to look for staff to ask where a certain item was. I did eventually find an employee, but I was disappointed at the lack of staff. Also, some of their items are used and damaged. Would come back again, hopefully with more staff. read more

Craft wise, the selection is not bad. They have a good variety of jewelry supplies, gemstones, chains, etc and the bakery/paint section is really good. They've also have a home décor sections which has some attractive knick knacks, like those marquee letters that light up or mason jars attached a piece of wood. Stuff you would see on pinterest. Fabrics, meh! Seriously miss Jo-Anne's, when I'm searching for some fabric or funky buttons and I come up short. My real beef with the store are the registers. There are like 6 registers and most of the time only 1 or 2 people are manning them. Do you know how many times I've come in here and the lines are ridiculous long. Especially on weekends. It's a nightmare! If you do come to Michaels, bring a coupon because lots of the items are not cheap. Print them off the website. read more

This is a fun place to shop and browse around. I'm not a huge arts and crafts person, but it does inspire, and it's great to pick up ideas for the kiddies. I especially love the fake flowers section. Now before you gasp, the flowers look very real! If you don't like fake flowers at all (prefer the real ones any day myself), they have dry flowers too, and different varieties of fake plants which also do the trick. read more

I love this place! Ever since I was young Coming to this craft store has always been a great experience. My crafts include knitting/ crocheting, creating bracelets with embroidery floss, quilting, oil painting. Michaels has it all (except for quilting fabric.) read more

The line moves really fast here, that's the reason I go to this Michael's. The workers are friendly too. Store is old but yet they keep it organized. Workers coordinated well and they helped me find the things I needed and taught me how to look up for coupons on my phone and I saved a lot. They have great stuff for holidays but their holiday crafts and decor always finish so fast, but if you shop early then you have a great selection. read more

An employee helped me find the best discounts and I ended up saving a ton of money. These end of year school projects really hit you in the wallet. These school projects can be stressful enough, so I was happy to find an employee that was willing to reduce some of that stress. read more

I find everything in Michael's to be expensive and they don't even have a huge selection but there aren't any other craft stores in my neighborhood. The store is organized and the staff is helpful if you have question. The best thing to do is bring a coupon! read more

Came here on a day with no customers and about 4 workers two of them talking to each other on the register. I asked the one of the workers to locate me where the oil paints were, he just told me they were in the back. This other lady I asked gave me an attitude. I had to look for everything myself. There was no customers in there it was empty but the workers couldn't even bother to help. If theyre so miserable maybe they should find a job somewhere they can be happy. :) read more

Store is well organized! I was able to find almost everything! And the sales were there! We found all the decor and odds & ends to fill out our Xmas tree and the home with decor! Employees didn't seen like they knew what they sold. Went looking all over looking for a tree stand.. And one said it's around the aisle.. Another said we sold out.. And another said we never sold it. (Confused more)! read more

I take my kids in here regular for our fun arts & crafts projects. It's a good sized store with lots of selection. And if you know what you are looking for it's great to shop. But it's tough getting decent help if you're stuck. It's difficult to blame kids that work there...they're just kids. So maybe I'd suggest fault lies with management and training. But it's fun and I'm glad we have this in our neighborhood. read more

Long lines await you no matter what time of day. Order pickup is not efficient. I go to the framing department for pick up and no one is around. I ring the bell... nothing... this had to happen several times before I received a "what is the problem?" The cashier flung everything in bags despite the large rips in the bag. She told me it's not a long walk to my car?!? No clear item pricing. The other help is the scanners in the store which there are 2. Staff members cannot give approximate dates as to when items will be in stock which is terribly frustrating. Tonight's venture to Michael's included a cashier that told me to wait until she opened all her rolled change in the drawer before scanning order. More time passed. A quick venture turns out to much more and not in a good way. read more

Michael's is my go-to place for craft supplies and ideas. It has fake flowers, rainbow look bands, and jewelry stuff etc. they have everything you need and always have great deals. The parking is for all of the plaza, so it's easy to find a spot there. If you by accidentally stab yourself with a sewing needle, that's okay! You an run to CVS across the street and grab some band aids! Then go diagonally across the street to TJ max and get a cool sweater to cover the bandaid! read more

My wife and I went to Michaels to have her diploma custom framed. I yellow sign with black writing read "NEW Frame Shop Hours 11AM-7PM". It was 6:45pm and a gentleman stepped up and asked if we needed help. A minute or so later he was called away. When he came back he stated that his manager said that it was too late and we would have to come back tomorrow. I asked to speak to this manager. I showed her the sign and she (Amanda) stated that the store manager wanted the register for framing closed early so that overtime would not have to be paid out. I stated that it wasn't right but she repeatedly insisted that nothing could be done and refused to call the store manager. Finally I asked why my order could not be set up so that I could just pay the next day. She did not know if it could be done. How incompetent and unprofessional can you be? Needless to say I will not be going back. Michaels should revoke this stores franchise. read more
