For any of you who know, I am an artist specifically a portrait (and nudes) painter. Yep, I said it. Anyways, I am always looking for the best deals and variety when it comes to my work. Most artists like to go local. Me on the other hand likes to strike deals like a businessman. Ergo, Michael's will always be my go-to arts and crafts store because of what I am able to hustle there. The store I am talking about is located in Hammock Landing, the shopping center just west of I-95 on Palm Bay Rd. located in between the now-closed Family Christian and the now-closed HHGregg. Out of the Michael's I've been to, this one is big. Definitely bigger than the one in Viera. Anyways, a bigger store means more arts and crafts available for everyone. There really isn't much I can say that makes it any different from the other Michael's stores besides the wide array of products and services. I can probably say there are other shops and restaurants nearby so it can be part of a shopping day or outing. One little note before concluding. Not just for this Michael's but any Michael's, I suggest signing up for emails or the app. Though Michael's has plenty of excellent sales, especially on canvases, you can get the best deals through emailed and digital coupons. read more

I came to michaels during the corona pandemic. Instead of assisting their valued customers, we waited outside for hours to be let inside as they let TWO customers in at a time. They have a sign on the door apologizing they can only let 10 people in at a time, without mentioning that 8 of those people are employees. When we call to arrange a curbside pickup, the lady on the phone was rude. I am trying to get supplies to entertain myself during the quarantine, but it is hard with companies milking the clock without actually helping their customers. read more

I do love Michael's, and honestly this is my favorite store. this is the only store in my area, the other Michaels is about 20-25 minutes away. I am usually there at least one-2 times a week during the year and Christmas season almost every day. My last experience yesterday I had a about 12 items, waited on the line there was only two registers opened. This cashier criticized chatted with the customer for a while even though she saw us standing there, once finished I went closer, I was unable to go alt the way up as customer was still standing there, receipt in hand chatting. I edged closer, apparently customer was seeking advice about how to gain employment. I waited until she received information from Michelle the cashier (not sure if I am remembering the name correctly) very young dirty blonde hair, about 5 ft 5 Inches tall. The rang she picked up phone customer walked away I was able to go to counter and placed items on the counter. She spoke on the phone for very close to two minutes. Came off the phone didn't say a word, then picked up the first item which was a bunch of flowers, one of the buds fell off and I said let me exchange that as it is already falling apart, go ahead, I'll be right back. I ran to the back to get another one, while walking back I could see customer at the register where I was so I walked back without urgency. I then walked over to her and said "I waited for you patiently when you spoke on the phone for 2 minutes and ignored my presence, didn't acknowledge me once, and I walked back to exchange an item the least u could have done was wait on me for 30 seconds. She ignored me. I waited on her to finish then I took it on myself to walk up before another customer did. Then she asked me if I wanted the items she took from the counter and placed in a cart, I repeated what happened again, then asked when did I say didn't want my items? No response, she rang my items up and DID NOT ASK ME FOR MY MEMBERSHIP PHIONE NUMBER, IF I HAD A COUPON, DID NOT SAY HAVE A NICE DAY YOU ARE WELCOME AFTER I SAID THANK YOU. Today I would like to go back to get an item, as I really need it plus they have 50% coupon today, but I am seriously considering driving up to Viera. This is ridiculous every customer deserves fair treatment. read more
