This store is very cold and unfriendly. The employees do not want to talk to you or wait on you. The self-checkout is also very unfriendly. They do have a military discount, which is nice. However, that's about all this store has going for it. Prices are different online, usually cheaper. They are putting themselves out of business like JoAnn's with pushing online everything. I came in yesterday with a friend, like we usually do once every other week. We loved coming here and usually have a great experience with good customer service. Yesterday was different; we had an employee following us around the second we came in the door. Occasionally she would whisper into her earpiece, and it was obvious we were being suspected of stealing. We aren't the usual demographic, being that we're under 45, but I consider ourselves regulars that spend a decent amount of money every 2 weeks. Nothing like this has ever happened here before and I'm not sure what was the cause of the employee to act like this, hopefully they do better and if they're gonna treat regular customers like criminals as soon as they walk in the door, maybe make it a little more discreet. read more

Seems like every time I come to this store there are two people working and you have to wait in line or at the register just for someone to come help check you out . Good luck finding anything if you need help there is no one to be found and if so they are so busy they get an attitude when you ask for help. They need to hire more people. read more

Michaels is my go-to place for holiday decor. I found the best valentines and st pats decorations there this year, so I went looking for something for Easter. I basically hate having naked doors at this point, so I wanted something on March 18. Unfortunately, they didn't really have anything good for my doors, but they had all handmade floral 50% off, so I jumped on that. These wreath were originally $90 and $70 (which I would NEVER pay, but with them being half off, I felt that was a fair price point for the materials and man hours making it). Bonus, the floral one is kind of Eastery, but it's really more Springy, so I'm leaving them up after today. They always have coupons available, I never pay full price for anything, and you shouldn't either. Customer service is always "okay", neither exceptional or poor, but closer to exceptional than poor. They offer classes if you're interested in that. They gave HUGE scrapbooking, vinyl, and frame sections. If you haven't stopped into a Michaels in awhile, you should definitely stop in. There is something for everyone, whether it's home decorations, crafting, activities for the kids, or holiday decor that you're looking for, I think you'll find it here. read more

Just had a horrible experience at this particular store. There was only one person on floor so getting assistance was next to impossible. I had to wait an unreasonably long time to get help and when I did she was annoyed and short with me . It is not my fault the management here under staffs . They didn't know what I was talking about even though my sister just bought the same product from another Michaels store, the one down the street in Southgate. This store is ridiculous I am going to take the extra 5 minutes out of my way to go to the one in Southgate from now on. Stay away from this store unless you want to wander around with nobody to help you. Horrible customer service!! read more
