This location is a hit or miss . This particular time I take full responsibility I rushed to get here at 7pm but NYC was not having it I reached at 7:03 pm and I just knew they was not going to Let me in but it was worth a shot I beggggeed the gentleman Oyran ( I hope that's his name ) at the door that i had a online pick up and all I needed was to pick up he let me in ( i swear it pays to have a heart and show compassion) For some reason my eyes bypassed my bae in the online order bucket so i asked the lady that was sweeping of if I don't see my order would it be anywhere else her demeanor was over it and tired because her reply was if you don't see it over there it's not ready and we're closed . I was taking back a little because yes you are closed but I'm in the store and I'm a paying customer and your still on the clock ... The manager asked if I checked the bins we checked together and his amazing eyes spotted . The visit wasn't as bad . I got my Order and I got out the store .... I had a very disappointing experience at the Michaels store in Cross County. I went to purchase Make Market permanent vinyl after seeing a store sign advertising "ALL Printables & Vinyl Accessories by Cricut, Make Market & Siser -- Buy 3, Get 3 FREE." I selected three Make Market permanent vinyls with the intention of purchasing three more under the advertised promotion. When I went to check out, I was told by the manager, Dominique, that the Make Market permanent vinyl was not included in the sale and that she would not honor the promotion. What made this especially frustrating is that the sign clearly says ALL and specifically lists Make Market. I even had a photo of the sign showing the promotion. Instead of professionally explaining why these particular products supposedly did not qualify or checking the advertised signage, I felt Dominique was dismissive and unprofessional in the way the situation was handled. I understand that exclusions can happen, but customers should not be expected to figure out exclusions that are not clearly stated on the advertised sign. If an item or type of vinyl is excluded, the signage should clearly say so. I shop at Michaels for crafting supplies and expected much better customer service, especially from a manager. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I hope Michaels reviews both the promotional signage at this location and how this situation was handled. read more

Muse, a lovely & very professional associate should be the store manager. Lydia, however, the current manager, should be fired. She is extremely unprofessional, rude, and lazy. When I showed her pictures of how filthy the bathroom is and told her that the hand dryer was broken, she smirked & thought it was funny. She had also refused to unlock the bathroom door when I asked her earlier, because she said she was busy. I told her it was urgent, and she still refused. She called for someone else to open it but it literally took them 5 mins to come. read more

They have the normal services for framing and now they blow up balloons, which I think is really nice. The service is almost the same as every Michael's, there is not enough staff members for questions. However, if you know what you're looking for, it's easy to find stuff and if you do have a question, you can always just go to the cashier in the front. All in all Michael's has great sales and I always get my crafts from them.. And they are wood items always hold up so it is worth the money. read more

Terrible service! There was three people behind the registers but only one helping with balloon services and they were so slow! They were persistent on people using the self check out but made the line for 5 minutes to order balloons and they said I had to get back out the line to pick them out and get back in line. By then there was already a lot of people on the line and I wasn't trying to make the long line again. Employees had a terrible attitude and looked like they didn't want to be there. I want to give zero stars. I wrote this email to the CEO and customer service of Michaels and didn't get a response so I posted it on their Facebook page. They removed it and called me to tell me they are sorry for the confusion. I explained to them that I am not confused. A sign is posted interior store stating one thing and they are doing another. I then posted the question "Why was my post removed and that was removed?" Micheals doesn't care about their customers and the value for the costs at the store isn't worth it since they only have 20% off coupons. This is what the email read: Once again I have a complaint about your store in cross county Yonkers New York. I made a purchase online for in store pickup. I walked into the store, did some shopping, went over to the self pick up station, found my bag then went to the counter to pay for my other items. When I approached the checkout desk the cashier asked for my name and ID. At first I didn't realize he was talking to me. I asked why Does he need that information and he said because I made a pick up of an online order. He said I had to show him I'd and sign for the package. In all the michaels stores that I have picked up online items I have never been asked for ID unless the item was brought to me from an employee from behind the counter. I told him that not required and he told me it's always required. That isn't true and I believe this is a case of racial profiling. If I didn't need additional items I would have taken the bag and walked out. If he had a customer he wouldn't know I picked up a bag and I would have walked out. Asking me for I'd unnecessarily could have gone several ways however I showed him my ID knowing that I was going to send this email of complaint. I am attaching photos of the pick up station that clearly states HELP YOURSELF TAKE YOUR ORDER FROM THE BIN AND LEAVE THIS SLIP HERE. This location is the worst Michaels I have ever shopped. The workers are young and unprofessional, no one is on the floor to help and the checkout line is always long because there only one cashier working. shelves are bare. Yarn section is a mess. Not the employees fault, its the awful customers that come here. Yarn pulled out of packaging. Needle packages open and needles stolen. Empty food containers in bins. The embossing section has spilled embossing powder, broken items. There are much nicer michaels locations. Even the one on 6th avenue is better than this. read more

This is the most disorganized Michael's location I have ever been to in my life. I went to the Pelham Michaels, and they didn't have HEAT SEAL bags. So, I called this location. I spent about 20 minutes on hold while they "checked" for heat seal bags. They said they had them, so I drove 25 minutes to this location just for them to *NOT* have ANY heat seal bags. I spoke with both workers I spoke to on the phone who claimed I never asked for heat seal. Which is utterly untrue because I asked SEVERAL times on the phone and they confirmed they did say heat seal. The staff were completely rude and extremely unhelpful. Avoid this location at all costs. I wish I could give a negative star review.. read more

I'm reviewing for their UPS Access Point function. It's been two weeks since I've been notified that one of my packages was left there. So the first time I tried to pick it up, nope. It's not there. So I give my contact information to one of their staff and wait a few days for follow up. nothing. I come back, actually talk to the manager, and she assures me that she'll get to the bottom of it. In her words, the guy who took care of packages that day "just left it outside" and she's sent "complaints about him". I leave my contact information again. Nothing. No follow up. A few days pass again. I go back, no help, and I leave my contact information again! But of course, I'm left hanging. The staff is actually quite lovely, but they really are not in any position to be of actual help, sad to say. I had to tweet UPS and the company I ordered from to get assistance. read more

Store has opened as of 3/15/2019. There was a delay with some construction but it looks awesome there!!! A lot of new supplies and the staff is knowledgeable and very friendly.. love the classroom setup there for all ages classes and the different themes they have throughout the calendar. The framing department is top notch but what do you expect it's Michaels!!! They are about community devotion and crafters like me love the convenience of how close the store is now instead of driving all the way to Pelham or Hartsdale. If the store doesn't have what you need they will take of it through ordering it online or calling another store to help if it's an extreme emergency. I love it there and so happy Michaels opened a store to cater to Yonkers area!!! Thanks Michaels!!! read more

First of all, I'm not sure why it says "Temporarily Closed". I was just there yesterday. I go to this store more often than I'd expect. Some of their arts & crafts materials were perfect for creating my Halloween costume last year. I go more for their poster frames that are always on sale. I usually order for in store pick up. One of the main reasons I gave this store 5 stars is because of the customer service. I had a return and an issue with a purchase with a rewards voucher I used. The manager on duty took the time to make sure everything was in order and took care of everything. He thanked me for my patience. I thanked him for his because it was a little more work than just scanning the items and sending me on my way. I truly appreciate that kind of accommodation when dealing with purchase issues and customers such as myself (a pain in the butt) who bring forth issues and expect a result that would make me happy. Really helped in making me leave the store satisfied with my experience. read more

It's now December 2018 and we're still waiting for the opening. Can't believe they still haven't opened up. The Holliday seasons (Halloween, thanks giving and Christmas) is a big money maker and it's a lost opportunity for them and us. There must be something going on with contract negotiations etc. The owners of this site are notoriously difficult people. They let the space for National Wholesale liquidators go to such a bad state of disrepair, it could have hurt someone. Even now the lot is empty, prime real-estate going to waste and Yonkers does nothing about it. No sense of responsibility from anyone these days. read more

Please, DO NOT order online for pickup at this Cross County location. I have attempted this more than once and they never have all of the items. They state that the item(s) are in stock and available for pick up at that store, and then when you get there, it's a different story. Once, I received a "Order Pickup" confirmation, but when I got to the store, 3 of 10 items were ready. And, when I looked in the bag, 1 of those items did not belong to me, at all. I had to turn back and alert them of this. You see, with order pickup, Michaels gets your money right then and there online, but then when you get to THAT store, the majority of the items are not ready or are actually out of stock. I have NEVER had this issue at the Pelham Manor store. They are much more professional and have the items you need. This Cross County location should stop putting items as "AVAILABLE" for order pickup and then when people get there, the items are "OUT of STOCK" and/or could not be found. That is beyond unfair. Their staff is rude and gets an attitude with YOU. I wish there was a "0" star option, because "1" would be too much. read more
