My kids like him as well. Kathryn is an office gem. Her knowledge of the body and how to get at various muscles to stretch them is amazing. I always enjoy working with her and find I learn something new every time. Chiros like any other body worker have their own unique touch. Dr. D is muscular, with an athletic build, but a gentle touch. His set up is very accurate for me and it takes little force by him to move things where they need to go, where I have had others unable to do so. He is on the quiet side but knows a lot about the body and how to treat it, beyond chiropractic.

Dr. Pollack and the rest of Proactive Chiropractic have JUST reopened up their office and pretty much as soon as I saw the email, I went to book through their *announcer voice* convenient online booking system! That's right Johnny. But for real, they are taking all of the precautions and more that you expect people who care to take. There is only one doctor on at a time, there is only one patient in the office at a time. There is one front desk associate to help you. Both the doctor and the front desk are wearing masks. There is one chair in the waiting room. As soon as you enter the office you're instructed to wash your hands. There is a sign that says please wash your hands before and after you see the doctor. The adjustment apparatus and rolly thing (technical term) is disinfected after every patient. You must wear a mask during the visit. I mean... I don't know how they could get ANY safer. And it makes me feel 100 percent comfortable visiting the office and getting my adjustment, which I was in dire need of. Dr. Pollack is as wonderful as ever. The front desk associate was as nice as a person could be. That's one of the many reasons why when anyone in my vicinity (which unfortunately hasn't been a lot of people as of recent), but if ANYONE says "My back hurts." My first and most immediate response is, "You should see my chiropractor. I have a great chiropractor, he's right off 7 locks." I can't tell you how many times I've said that, and I can't imagine how many times I will in the future.

I sincerely appreciate the treatment (both therapeutically and personally) from both of these capable and caring doctors. I've heard and seen other chiropractor clinics skimp on their treatment with it only lasting about 20 minutes maximum, but this clinic is exceeds all my expectations as they extend their treatment to 1 hour and it remains that length with equal quality for every subsequent appointment. The doctors are also very flexible with their schedule, so if you are unable to make it to your next appointment, they will efficiently help you schedule a better time. Lastly and most importantly, I have healed a lot and in a proper manner from when I first came in. Their treatment is extremely thorough and has great results. I'd recommend this clinic to everyone!

About 2 years ago, I had really bad foot pain, it took several Piezowaze Therapy appointments to help finally fix it (about 6ish months of every other week appointments). And the pain hasn't come back ever since. When Hena was added to the team, it made this practice even better. Prior to Hena, Dr. Lee did dry acupuncture too but just a little bit and mostly focusing on where I tell him the problem area is. Now that Hena was added. It's not always focused on pain, sometimes if I tell her that my brain fog is particularly high that day or I'm having alot of anxiety, she is able to do certain acupuncture points that helps with that. One particular day, my anxiety level was pretty high, and whatever point she hit, I weirdly felt instantly blissed out haha. That's the first time I felt that with acupuncture. I was very relaxed that day. The blissed out feeling doesn't always happen, but I definitely trust her. She also introduced me to cupping and I am now obsessed with it. The individuals involved include Dr. Hook and a front-desk receptionist Summary of Events On October 14, 2025, at approximately 1:00 p.m., I received a text message from Bethesda Chiropractic Center confirming my appointment for October 16, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. I promptly confirmed the appointment, and the confirmation text is attached for reference. On October 16, 2025, I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment. Upon checking in, I was informed that no appointment had been made for me. The receptionist spoke with Dr. Hook privately, and after a brief exchange, she returned and reiterated that I did not have an appointment. I showed her the official text confirmation; however, her response was not only dismissive but deeply inappropriate. Unprofessional and Discriminatory Remarks The receptionist proceeded to tell me, in a raised and confrontational tone, that the clinic was "refusing services" because I "complained about not getting [my] check on time." She added statements such as: * "We're not taking you because you complained you didn't get your check on time." * "Do you not know it takes more than six months to get paid?" * "What are you going to do--file another complaint? We're still not going to take you." These remarks were humiliating, racially biased, and entirely inappropriate for a medical setting. They drew unnecessary attention and created a hostile environment. Her statements were also factually incorrect. I was injured in a hit-and-run car accident and sought chiropractic treatment because of my injurie; not for financial motives, as was wrongly assumed. Failure to Provide Timely Medical Documentation Between December 2024 and early 2025, I spoke with Dr. Hook multiple times regarding the release of my medical documentation to a third party listed on my medical release form. Despite repeated assurances from him, the documents were not sent for several months. Only after I filed a BBB complaint did Dr. Hook finally send the required documentation. Even in his written communication (attached), he acknowledged and apologized for failing to send the information in a timely manner. For what it's worth, I have been to three or four different chiropractors and Dr. Young is the only one who did *not* say, "We're going to need you to come in three times a week for the first three months, then twice a week for six months, and then down to once a week for another six months." When I first visited him, his somewhat brusque nature of engagement took a bit of time to get used to, but frankly given his depth of knowledge and ability to make things right, I am happy to completely ignore it/have gotten used to it. I actually enjoy it these days - there is an embedded dry sense of humor which I find makes me mentally chuckle. Back to his expertise, which is what I am really paying for: His combination of exercises, dry needling and other routines are absolutely on point. When he tells me to start/stop doing something, I know he is right. If I do what he says, I get better. If I don't, it is exactly what he predicts (example, stop a specific kind of exercise or it will continue hurting and yep, he's right. Or, start wearing these sort of shoes and it will improve and yep, he's right, Or, if you don't treat that part with ice for more than 20 minutes you will not heal, and yep, he's right - the list goes on). His dry needling treatments are incredibly effective. I was surprised by how they unlocked muscle pain immediately. I absolutely will recommend him to anyone. I prefer to pay for experts who are really good at their job and he is at the top of the list.
