I was there all day, but the staff made sure I was comfortable, kept me updated on my son's progress, and clearly communicated when he would be finished. There is always someone available in an emergency with the skill to handle it, unlike what happens in many smaller practices. The office is attractive and immaculate. The office staff, hygienists snd dental assistants are professional, engaging, and seem happy to work for the practice. The X-ray and other dental equipment seems up to date and newer and more capable than that employed by most dental practices. The practice is a network provider for my dental insurer (MetLife Dental) and was able to get pricing and approval for my implant during my first appointment. The implant base was inserted that very day. Other practices had told me to expect to wait months for approval. The out of pocket pocket cost to me (secured by a detailed and well explained contract) was much less than what other dental practices had told me I should expect to pay. The negative reviews on this site do not in any way correspond with my experience to date with this practice, and are passing strange in light of the "Best of Bucks" awards this practice seems routinely to win from the Bucks County Courier Times. From what I have experienced, those awards seem well deserved. I have moved all my dental work to this practice and could not be happier with it at this point.

Then serendipity intervened. I ran into my former dentist's wife in Staples last week. After chatting a while, I asked if she could refer me to someone new in the area. Indeed, she could. Turned out that they had a friend, Linda Batista, a DMD in Langhorne, PA, who was excellent. I called her office the next day for an appointment. She answered the phone herself. I went to see her this week. While the landlord should spruce up the exterior and repave the parking lot, the office itself was fine. Plenty of staff handling administration and hygienist work, and two dental chair examination rooms for the pair of licensed professionals handling the high speed drills. Dr. Batista introduced herself early in my visit. She was personable and explained what would be happening for the following 30 minutes. Description of my complaints (why I was there), a look at my teeth with water and air, x-ray of my broken tooth, repair, and finally a treatment plan for whatever came next (comprehensive examination, diagnostics, cleaning and whitening). She worked quickly and precisely, explaining herself as she went along. The injured bicuspid was dealt with in minutes and finished with me feeling comfortable. I left with a smooth firm bite. Nice not to feel that sharp edge against my tongue any more. I was very satisfied with the first experience with Dr. Batista, and enjoyed our brief conversation at the counter as I paid the invoice and scheduled the next session. Two visits were required. First, a two minute evaluation with the surgeon to allow him a visual check on my condition, and to briefly discuss the appropriate anesthesia (local or general) for the procedure. My cracked and partially missing tooth was fairly straight forward, so we agreed that a local would be sufficient. Two months later on the appointed day, I appeared a few minutes early in case there was paperwork, although I had submitted the dentist's information before the first appointment. Still, there appeared to be a lack of coordination between the front desk and the part time surgical team (including surgeon), so I sat in the waiting room for 40 minutes being ignored by the staff until the surgical assistant wondered where I was and why I hadn't been sent back to their small work area in back. Turned out, there were a bit more questions to answer, which I completed quickly. Shortly, the surgeon came in and began sedating my gums around the tooth to be removed. He injected a lot of numbing agent and it took a while for it to do its job. He returned a third time with one more shot for good measure and went after the broken soldier with a dental pliers. He torqued and yanked and pulled and had that bad boy out in about two minutes. I had to ask if it was extracted and was pleased when he was affirmative. Not completely painless, but so fast that I had no complaints. I was out of the chair and preparing to leave just a few minutes later. The assistant gave me a bag with gauze, ice bag and written directions to take home. It would have been more comprehensive had she explained everything I should be doing, such as to take ibuprofen and Tylenol Extra Strength as soon as I got home before the local anesthetic wore off, and how to use the gauze and ice pack, but luckily I read the instructions and avoided any problems. 24 hours later and I am without pain, nor bleeding and haven't needed the ice pack for swelling. All good. Still careful what I eat, and admit to a mild brain fog from the remains of the anesthesia in my system. Four Surgical Stars for the folks who took care of me well. Two Uncoordinated Stars for the lack of same between the front desk and the surgical crew.

I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Andrew Steinkeler to get all four of my wisdom teeth extracted…read more I was worried, as my case was a bit complicated (I am 24 years old, which means the teeth are deeply rooted than when I was a teenager), plus my wisdom teeth were impacted. I reviewed the bios online and decided to go with Dr. Steinkeler. I visited him in all three offices: Fort Washington for the consultation, Warminster to do another xray and review the results, and Newtown to do the actual surgery. Dr. Steinkeler is sooo nice and truly cares about his patients. He eased all of my worries as best as he could and made sure to tell me everything that was going on before, during, and after the procedure. He made me feel really comfortable, and I am now four days post surgery and I have very minimal pain. I have told everyone my experience and no one I know has had it as easy as me. Recovery has been going smoothly (1000% better than I expected). I didn't have too much swelling, and he gave me extra numbness the day of surgery so that I wouldn't feel ANY discomfort the first day. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Steinkeler to anyone looking to get their wisdom teeth extracted.
