Extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at Petelin Vision…read more After waiting an hour and a half, I finally had to get up, leave the exam room, and ask the staff if anyone was actually going to see me. That alone was unacceptable and showed very little regard for my time. When doctor Petelin finally came in, things somehow got worse. Rather than taking a moment to review my chart and understand my history, he immediately started asking questions and making statements that were factually incorrect. The whole interaction came across as arrogant, dismissive, and completely lacking in professionalism. I became so frustrated that when they finally went back to review my chart, I got up and walked out. I told them plainly that they had wasted my time. After sitting there for an hour and a half only to have the doctor come in unprepared and make incorrect assumptions, I saw no reason to continue. Patients are trusting you with their time, money, and eyesight. The least they should receive is basic professionalism, preparation, and respect. Unfortunately, I experienced none of that here. I will be taking my business somewhere else--somewhere that actually values its patients and understands that their time matters. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Petelin Vision.

Dr. Tebyanian is friendly (like his staff) and he carefully explains everything so that I feel confident in our decisions. Dr. Perry pointed out a retina ripple and the start of macular degeneration in my left eye which was not detected by another ophthalmologist had seen before being referred to Dr. Perry for a second opinion. I was very happy with the care and grateful for their expertise and the follow-up call from Dr. Perry himself after surgery plus the weekly follow ups. I am still healing and thankful that I do not need to wear glasses anymore. Other than blue light glasses, which I choose to do when using my computer and cell phone.

He was notified but chose not to come to the ER. There was no other ophthalmologist available so i was unable to receive the treatment I needed, and as a result I am now blind in one eye. I was in ICU for two days and the hospital did not attempt to find another ophthalmologist. No physician on staff was qualified to dilate my eye to asses for a retinal artery occlusion or a detached retina, I was visiting from another state and had to make an Emegency flight home to see my ophthalmologist but, unfortunately , the window of time for appropriate treatment had passed.

I couldn't drive, was constantly afraid of falling due to a lack of depth perception and was afraid to travel or do anything out of my immediate neighborhood. His skill literally gave me back a normal life. God willing I don't need any additional correction in the future but if I did there is no question I would use Dr Plotnik. And for the complaints on here about wait times... well I would rather wait for a good doctor than be shuffled through like an assembly line just to get in and out quickly.

A lot of people came after I arrived and one by one they were called in. I was called inside at 11:15 am, 35 minutes after my appointment time. Was taken to exam room, told to sit on the uncomfortable exam room chair. I waited there until 11:50 am for Dr. Plotnik to make his appearance!! An hour and 10 minutes after my appointment time. He saw me literally for 5 minutes in a hurry! I had another appointment at noon which I completely missed. What bothered me the most was the fact that, not the front desk. Not Dr. Plotnik, not the check out people had the courtesy to apologize for the 1 hour and 10 minutes delay, like nothing has happened and this is charity work, and this delay is NORMAL! It is NORMAL! This is unacceptable. I don't understand how they can do this all the time and no action is taken to correct this unpleasant experience for their customers. I really don't recommend this practice to anyone.
