I don't mind suffering for a few miles on a trail knowing that a warm cortado is waiting for me at the end. Rooster Moon Coffeehouse feels a bit cramped, but their cortado and service was good. Representing 2025…read moreas a runner-up to D pick out of town, although Hagerstown is debatable as the DMV, but I'd be remiss not to slam the worst Dunkin' I've ever been to, worse than the 1-star Wheaton, MD Dunkin', and Hagerstown Dunkin' was the WORST ever coffee shop experience anywhere ever. This just so happens to be the 1-year anniversary of this awful experience with this Dunkin' on Sunday, June 1, 2025. We were starting our vacation to Canada and were first heading to Flight 93 Memorial. I chose this Dunkin' about 1 hour 15 minutes from my home for breakfast as it was conveniently located off freeway with quick access to get back on & off I-70. We each got breakfast croissant and iced coffees. Unfortunately, my girlfriend accidentally spilled the iced coffee when she was putting lid on. We were still waiting on the sandwiches, which came out. Albeit rare, accidents happen. We thought they were remaking her drink we paid for, but they refused. Staff member said the manager told us we're not allowed to remake spilled drinks. My g/f & I thought it was ridiculous. She worked at Starbucks before, and while spilled drinks weren't a super common occurrence, they would always remake the drink no questions asked. It was unprecedented a coffee shop would ever not do this to a paying customer; never heard of a Dunkin, Starbucks, Krispy Kreme (see my 5-star review of them east of downtown HGR on US 40), etc. There are several other Dunkin' in the Hagerstown area; go to Krispy Kreme, any other (unless it's the same owner as this store), local coffee shop, Sheetz (almost across the street from here), etc. over this location. There was a Dunkin' close to here off I-70 on Sharpsburg Pike, but involved 2 left turns to get off & on 70 westbound. I'd rather make TEN left turns than going to this location! After we left, we were depressed from this terrible experience and sour way to start our vacation. I said I can stop at Sheetz for you, which she agreed. She paid for the Sheetz, since I paid for the Dunkin'. It involved 2 left turns and a delay in trip (albeit only a few minutes, but a few minutes we should've have had to deal with in the first place). After our vacation, I tried to resolve this by emailing/calling Dunkin'. While corporate was fine, they said there was nothing they could do since it was a franchise store. They would inform manager to have her call/email me back. Not surprisingly, crickets from this manager.

In looking over the menu we chose a Cinnamon bun and split a sandwich - Grilled Chipotle Turkey Sandwich & Chips and I ordered a Banana Nut Bread Coffee. First and foremost the coffee was incredible and loaded with flavor. I felt as if I was drinking a piece of banana nut bread! Warm deliciousness that was made quickly and served perfectly. We chose the day old cinnamon bun to give it a try and even at a day old it was soft and flavorful and paired well with the coffee. The Sandwich was cooked to perfection and the chipotle aioli made the entire sandwich come together. The quality of everything we had was spot on, and the relaxing atmosphere paired with excellent customer service makes this a wonderful place to sit down and have a cup of coffee, or grab a bite to eat!
