The one and only time I went there they were SO rude. I'll never go back! First I stood in line for 10 minutes before they ever came to the window. There was no one else in line, just me. I knocked on the glass like 3 times before she finally slammed the window open. She didn't say anything, just stared at me. I finally gave my order and she slammed the window in my face. There is NO shortage of ice cream places in Washington Co, and all are, at the very least, decent...however, Scoop-a-Licious stands out from the rest, in my opinion, because of their service...yes, the ice cream is fantastic(my favorite is Mississippi Mud Pie, when they have it), but on a hot day, standing in line, it's just nice to be greeted with a smiling face and a simple "hello" and a seemingly sincere "thank you!" when they hand you the goods! My wife and I live close to here but never tried it until recently. They have a huge soft serve selection as well as cool sundaes, cheesecake coated options, and shakes. There is bench seating as well and a decent sized parking lot. The service is quick and the people working are nice. read more

Cute little spot with fast, prompt, and friendly service. Flavor and topping selection was a little weak but the ice cream I got was delicious and emphasis on the word *fast!* There was a line of about six people in front of me and I was in and out of there in under five minutes. Prices were reasonable too. This was my first time here, I typically go to The Big Dipper when I want ice cream but it has gotten ridiculous there with how long it takes. Even if there's no line it's 10 minutes. I was so happy to see a place that cares about promptness! I will come here more often but will still go to my other spot on occasion due to much wider flavor and topping selection. read more

Hole in the wall! We stumbled on it on our was back home from a retreat. This ice cream parlor lived up to its 5 star expectation. The service was fast and they provide the samples (trust me you're gonna wanna try all of them). They have so many flavors and many that are unique! I had the salty pretzel... AMAZING flavor. I let the 4 people I brought each try some and they all wished they got it too. Loved the sweet and salty combination, with that all-too-satisfying crunch. The price is great (cheap compared to the DMV prices). 4 people together was less than $15! Their double scoop was a lot bigger than we had expected (but you'll want that double scoop!). Very good ice cream. There are many different flavors for you to choose from. They have hard ice cream as well as soft serve and custards. We stopped by on our way to work a race in Cumberland and found a local ice cream shop that utilizes a local creamery. There are your normal run of the mill flavors such as chocolate, strawberry and vanilla but they have some off the cuff flavors as well. The ice cream is from Windy Knoll Farm Market & Creamery in Chambersburg, PA. I got the triple chocolate something or other (it consists of chocolate ice cream with chocolate chips and brownies -- basically a chocolate lover's dream) and the kettle corn. YUM!!! I was traveling east on 68 and wanted to get some ice cream but not the DQ/McD's "ice cream" - I wanted the real deal and this is it! At first I didn't want to take 81 south b/c I didn't want a major detour from my long journey but it was super quick and easy - and the ice cream is delicious - so worth the 5 minutes it took to get there from route 68. They offer hand-scooped and softserve. The "small" scoop was generous and VERY reasonably priced. I had salted caramel crunch and it was creamy and sweet. I may have to make this a regular stop whenever I pass that way again. Don't pass this up if you love ice cream. read more
