I had came in today for the first time and was scheduled with Michelle for my appt. Let me tell you, her location is the cutest, easy to find/get to area with spacious parking! she's still the best. sometimes you just need to get your brows groomed and out of desperation, you just go somewhere else cause there's really no choice but to take a risk or look like a caveman for the next couple of days. for women, looking like a caveman means that we can't leave our homes or interact with anyone that we know or hope that we don't run into anyone that'll want to conversate with us in public. LET ME JUST TELL YOU that not ALL Anastasia brow people are created equal. Yes, Michelle has been trained by the brow wizard herself and Anastasia trains others in other locations, but just because they're an esthetician that's been trained by Anastasia doesn't mean that they get all her skills. Michelle was one of the rare ones that soaked up the knowledge and powers and actually does her job WELL. I've also gone to other people that others recommended and swore by and seriously, it just wasn't cutting it for me. My brows still came out crooked (not by much.... but when you've had perfection, it definitely makes a difference) and I even got a chunk of my brow taken out while they were "reshaping" aka giving me bald spots!!! Being a student with a very unpredictable schedule has left me to miss the appointments I did schedule with her, which is why I've fallen in the trap of going elsewhere because I was desperate. It's not worth it. Just go to Michelle. Stay in your house for a couple days and avoid human contact and reward yourself with beautiful brows. I'd first like to say they are extremely nice and friendly here. It seemed clean and from what it looks like, they are following all Covid guidelines. However, when it came to my brows I wasn't so satisfied. I scheduled a brow wax after 4 months of not getting them done. Natalie did the usual of asking if I use any products such as retinol, retin-a, etc. I told her that I do use differin (OTC) on my chin area, and that I always have, and that prior to Covid I would regularly get waxed while using it. I told her I am aware of lifting, and that I have minimally lifted before, but that I understand that as a consequence and am ok with proceeding. I wouldn't book an appointment knowing these things if I wasn't ok with it. She told me she didn't feel comfortable waxing, and that she would rather pluck, and that it would be more expensive. I don't like the look of plucking but I proceeded anyways (this is where I should've declined service and walked away). Well I let her pluck them, they turned out nothing like I had wanted. Too thick, no clean lines, lack of shape, etc. Had she waxed me like I originally requested/booked for, and potentially lifted my skin, I would not be leaving a bad review because I was aware of that going into this! Two lessons for this salon: do what the customer asks since they are paying for the service OR add a note in the booking platform saying you will refuse wax service if client uses any of the above products. read more
